Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Appearance: Part 2 ❯ Dinner and Super Saiyans ( Chapter 6 )
CHAPTER 6: DINNER AND SUPER SAIYANS
She landed in the front lawn of Capsule Corp. and strode into the kitchen, where Chichi and Versi were making a huge meal.
"Hello Marley!" Chichi said in a relieved voice. "I'm happy to see you well. The food should be ready soon. Who is that?" She said gesturing to Bardock.
"His name is Bardock," she replied. "He is the brother of Khazhandrah and Alahamirah."
"Oh yes, we met them. Odd aren't they?" Versi said. "Bulma is in the lab working on a way to get those wretched collars off."
"I suppose I should get his collar off too. See you guys in a while." She strode purposefully to the lab Bulma worked in. When she entered she saw the twins standing uncomfortably, waiting for Bulma to finish tinkering with her machine.
"Bulma?" she asked.
Bulma jumped around and said, "Oh, it's you. I'm almost done with this blasted thing. It should work. Let me see his collar."
Marley sat Bardock down on the table and Bulma fingered it lightly, making sure not to wake him. Marley saw Bulma smile. Bulma tinkered with the machine and then said, "Done! I'm such a genius. I always manage to out do myself."
Marley rolled her eyes and said, "I'm glad you don't let it go to your head Bulma."
Bulma smirked, looking a lot like Vegeta, and said, "Ha…ha…ha. Now let me get that thing off his neck."
A light came out of the tip of the gun. It scanned the surface of the collar. Then she heard a click and the collar fell off. Bardock grumbled a bit at the loss of Marley's body heat and reached out to her. Marley complied and grabbed him, resting him on her hip.
Bulma repeated the procedure on the two girls. Alahamirah had a tear running down her cheek. She got up and said, "Thank you, Viarkas. I'm eternally in your debt. May I hug you?"
Bulma looked sort of shocked and embraced the taller girl. "You didn't look good with it anyway," Bulma said, getting a smile out of the black haired Saiyan.
Then Alahamirah turned to Khazhadrah. Something seemed to pass between them and Alahamirah elbowed Khazhandrah in the stomach, hard. Khazhandrah go the hint and said, "Yes, thank you Viarkas. If there is any way we can repay you, you need only ask.
Marley looked at the sister's exchange with surprise. She had pointed Khazhandrah as the dominant twin, she was certainly in control on the outside. But it appeared that Alahamirah was in fact the dominant twin. She wondered how they sparred. Her thoughts were stopped by a growl of a stomach, Bardock's.
"Thank you Bulma," Marley said.
Bulma smiled and said, "Any time M-chan. Now I'm gonna get their rooms together and finish with dinner. Meet us in there okay."
Bulma walked out, leaving Marley alone with the three Saiyans.
"Viarkas Marley," Alahamirah said, "We should thank you too. And the Prince, and for that matter Kakkarot, or Goku. So thank you. You saved our lives, gave us our freedom. We are in your debt."
"You are very welcome Alahamirah. I know how it feels to be held captive like that. You have my sympathy and my respect."
Silence in the room.
Once again, Alahamirah elbowed Khazhandrah in the stomach. "Thank you, Viarkas Marley. I agree with my sister fully."
"I would ask you not to call me Viarkas, it makes me sound old. Just Marley is fine."
"Okay. Marley," Alahamirah said happily. "Could you call me Mirah then, as long as we are being friendly."
Marley smiled and said, "Alright Mirah. If you have any questions, you should ask them now, before dinner."
Khazhandrah spoke up, "What are you going to do with us?"
Mirah (A/N: Give me a break, I already have to write Kakkarot and Khazhandrah, and I'm probably gonna start calling Khazhandrah Khazi soon anyway. I know what you people say, `it is your fault that you made their names so damn long. Sorry! Okay, and another thing. Andrah is what Alahamirah calls Khazhandrah, it is her private name. Bardock calls Khazhandrah Andi, and he is the only one allowed to do so. Also, Bardock calls Alahamirah Mimi and he is the only one allowed to do so. Khazhadrah calls Alahamirah Ami, it is her private name for her twin, but she never calls her that when other people are around, always Mirah. Okay that was long and you probably need to go to the top of the paragraph to see the beginning of the sentence again.) sighed and shot an evil glare at her twin's rudeness.
"Feed you, clothe you, give you a place to live. We are the last surviving colony of Saiyans, we need to look out of each other. You can spare with us when you get up the courage."
That silenced Khazhandrah for the moment. Mirah spoke up, "Tell us again about the Saiyans."
Marley took a deep breath and began her speech about the remaining Saiyans and their histories. She told them about the destruction of the original Earth, how the inhabitants escaped, and how they settled the planet. She told them of the planet Namek, what had happened there. She told them her story, along with how she defeated the Dark Man. She told them about the birth of her son Kakkarotto, how she and her mate met, and even a bit of her old life as a General in the Saiyan army. When she was done they were both wide eyed, and shocked.
"I hold a new respect for you Marley," Mirah managed at the end of the little speech. Marley smiled as Khazhandrah struggled with her facial expressions.
They had been talking a little over an hour when an angry prince stormed into the room. "Where the hell where you, dinner was ready five minutes ago and that harpy-bitch-mate of Kakkarot's refuses to eat without you. What are you doing, have a slumber party hear with the Rah-Rah Sisters?"
Marley giggled inwardly at the Rah-rah Sisters crack, it was funny. Alahami*rah* and Khazhand*rah*.
"Shut up Prince Vegeta, you'll wake Bardock. Shrimpy little bastard!" she said in a hushed but angry voice.
"I'll talk as loud as I wa-" he started but was silenced when Marley covered his mouth with her hand.
He glared at her. He was going to say something when Mirah, very diplomatically, stepped between them and said with a fist on her chest, "As the only living representative of the Eastern Tribes of Planet Vegeta, I greet you Prince Vegeta. I humbly pledge my service and that of my sister and brother to you and your family." She dropped on a knee and looked down, waiting for a reply.
Vegeta was taken off guard by this. He stood there his mouth open. It had been to long since someone had spoken to him like this. He regained his composure and said, "Rise."
Mirah did so, making sure not to make eye contact with the prince. She remembered everything her mother had taught her.
He regarded her carefully and said, "What class are you?"
"My sister, brother, and I are first-class born."
"Your parents are?"
"Our mother was the honored Supreme Duchess of the Eastern Tribes, Lelilah. Our father was the honored Supreme Duke of the Eastern Tribes, Barles. He was also among the honored guard of the late King Vegeta, a scientist and warrior," she replied smoothly. Her mother had trained her to do this, just in case she met with the prince.
"Hn. You and I will talk. Now we eat," Vegeta was genuinely impressed. He wondered how they had escaped the destruction of his planet. He would think about it later.
"Yes, Prince Vegeta."
Vegeta walked out the door and everyone fallowed him. Marley was secretly impressed. Her first impressions of Mirah going down the tube. Now she knew that Mirah was more than she seemed. Before she could finish her thoughts, the smell of food entered her nose, driving her crazy. She sat down at the table next to a patient Gohan, shifting Bardock into her lap. Gohan looked at her, casually questioning her with Kato sitting, looking at the food in front of him, in his lap.
I want to adopt him.
Oh, Gohan said, a bit of surprise leaking into his voice.
And Khazhandrah and Mirah.
Oh.
Resistance is futile. We need a bigger house.
Oh.
Are you on some sort of one word a day diet? She questioned sarcastically.
No, just surprised.
Then the food was set out on the table. No words were spoken as the food began to disappear from the table. Marley had to give it to Chichi and Versi, they had out done themselves. Then Bardock woke up, smelling the food. Marley motioned for him to eat off of her plate, knowing that this is what Saiyan mothers did to show affection for their children. Bardock smiled, seemingly to accept her offer to be his mother. She knew full well he knew what he was getting himself into. He was a smart boy.
"Hey Marley!" Goku said from his traditional seat across from her.
Her eyes glinted dangerously, "You spit food on me again and I'll rip out your tongue and incinerate it on the spot."
Goku laughed, food flying out of his mouth, none of which, fortunately, hit Marley. "I was just wondering about the attack you used today, what did you call it, Crispy Cannon?"
Marley sweat dropped, sometimes she forget how stupid Goku really was. "Crimson Cannon actually."
Vegeta, who sat at the head of the table, coughed something sounding like `girly.'
"Shut up Prince Vegeta! No one asked you! I can call it what ever the hell I like."
"It's a pussy name," Vegeta scoffed.
"You're a pussy," Marley retorted, goading him.
He growled and said, "Yeah, well at least I don't have one, psycho-bitch!"
Marley shot a glance at Bardock, who was sleeping like a baby in the play pin with Marron, Bra, and Kato.
Vegeta's comment had caused quite a fuss with Bulma, who was threatening to take away sex if he ever said anything like that again. That shut him up and Marley smirked at him.
"Any way," Goku said, ignoring the whole exchange, "it was really cool. What else have you been working on?"
She enjoyed talking about fighting with Goku and his family, she enjoyed sparring with them too. "Well, I was toying with one I call Dark Nova. I'll show you tomorrow. Actually the next day, I wanna sleep for a day before I have to do anything."
"Good idea. We gotta get training too, get ready for Frieza," Goku replied sagely.
It was at that moment that Khazhandrah's head shot up. She had listened to the exchange between the Prince and Marley with curiosity, occasionally dropping a comment on Mirah psychically.
She cleared her throat and said, "What do you mean, `get ready for Frieza'? You killed him."
Marley smiled wanly, "Unfortunately, he made a clone of himself and sent that instead. We just got the clone. I'm sorry Khazhandrah. But we are going to get him. The bastard will die, have no fear."
Khazhandrah was silent for a moment, the only thing that betrayed her conversation with Mirah was when she shot a glance at her. Then she said, "Train us."
Marley caught a sidelong glance Mirah gave her twin and in a strangled voice, Khazhandrah added, "Please."
Marley was going to offer it any way, and was about to agree to her request when Vegeta spoke up, "And why would we want to train a bunch of weak little girls?"
Marley glared at him, but he paid her no mind.
It was obvious to all there Khazhandrah was fighting not to explode and tell him off right then and there. Only with the help of Mirah, who put a hand and her sister's shoulder to keep her from standing up, that she controlled her anger. She exchanged a glance with Mirah, who nodded.
"Because, Prince Vegeta," she said, her voice straining very hard, "my sister and I can both go Super Saiyan."
Silence in the room. No one had expected that. Then Vegeta growled and said, "Lies."
Khazhandra stood up against the will of her sister and began to yell angrily, "Are you accusing us of-"
Mirah immediately stood up and slapped her hand over her enraged sister's mouth, but muffled sounds were still coming from it. Mirah began to speak to her sister telepathically. Khazhandrah seemed to relax a bit and shot a questioning glance at her sister. Mirah sighed and said out loud, "This is hardly the time Andrah."
"But-" Khazhandrah started.
"But," Mirah said quickly, "Perhaps it is for the best." She turned quickly to Vegeta and said, "I sincerely apologize for my sister's lack of respect. But if you see it from our perspective, we are in a room with a bunch of strangers we barely know. However, it is true that we have the ability be become Super Saiyans, at the first level," she added quickly. "If you look at it logically, why else would the clone of Frieza, or Frieza himself, care if we had ki restraining collars, unless he thought we were a threat. We obviously scared him and wanted us controlled." Then she looked around the room and said, "But, and even though I find it in bad taste, if you don't believe us, my sister proposes that we just show you."
Marley was once again impressed with Mirah's maturity.
"Prove it now," Vegeta said hotily.
Khazhandrah smirked and stood up with her sister.
"As you command Prince Vegeta," Mirah said, seeming to ignore the sound of superiority dripping from the prince.
And with that, in one synchronized movement, the twins' ki flared up a golden color, their hair changing gold and their eyes green. Khazhandrah's smiled widened as she saw the look of surprise cross everyone's face, her gaze resting on Vegeta.
"Feh!" is all he said.
Let's train them Prince Vegeta, Marley said.
Fine, but I'm not training Red over there. I'm training her sister, Mirah.
Fine, Marley shot back, secretly pleased. But I can't stand Red's attitude either. I like her, but I can't train her, give her to Kakkarot.
Yippee! Goku shouted mentally, he had been eavesdropping. He was really hoping for another sparring partner, now that his son was living with Gohan and Marley.
Good thing Kakkarot has a thick head, or we would be stuck with her.
Hn. Vegeta replied.
