Devine Introvention

Chapter nine.

Labor was starting to get noticably painful. Vegeta landed in front of a shallow stream. He had only been flying for about 20 minutes, but they were already about 30 seconds apart, and getting stronger. Making their way into his back and thighs as well. He winced, and wadded into the stream, settling himself on a large, flat rock along the shore, so that he was sitting in about two inches of water.

Bra had taken 36 hours to be born, and he had lost his wife, bulma, in the process. Thank god saiyan birth was designed to go quick. He sat there in the water for about another ten minutes, the contractions getting longer and more painful every time. Untill, at last, a painful pressure abubtly started between his legs, and with the next contraction came the need to bare down and push. Which Vegeta did.

Gawd, how did women do this?!?! Vegeta threw his head back in pain as the first babys head began to crown. He rose up to his knees and leaned forword, putting his weight onto his elbows and knees and spreading his legs wide. The next contraction come swiftly, and he bore down hard, just barely managing to hold in a scream as the babys head and shoulders emerged from the birth canal. He sat back down, gave one more push, and was rewarded with a wonderful feeling of relief as the rest of baby #1 slid from his body and into the water. He quickly leaned forward and brought it to the surface. Amazingly, it wasn't screaming, just murmering. He brought it closer to him so he could check the gender, smiling proudly as he relized it was a boy. He cut the cord with an small exertion of his ki, and felt pain in his belly again. Not real pain, just a cramp. He pushed again, reliving his body of the boys placenta.

Gently, he set his very-aware son on the grass next to the stream. He climbed back onto his hands and knees and prepared for #2.

Half an hour later, Vegeta gently lifted his seventh and final newborn out of the water, gave a tiny little push to rid himself of the after-birth, and cut the cord, gently placing the final one with it's siblings. He eased himself gently down into the water, sighing in relief as he was finally able to enjoy being about 60 pounds lighter. His baby belly was already noticably flatter.

Seven childran. Four boys and three girls.

He turned back to his childran when he heard a faint murmer. six of his newborns had fallen asleep righjt after birth, life blood still caking their skin despite being born underwater, He'd have to clean that off. His first born, however, was not asleep, but looking directly at his mother with a demanding look on his tiny face. Vegeta leaned over and scooped him up, cradling him agenst his chest. The boy looked just like Kakarot.

The boy was probably hungery. Vegeta sighed in dismay. There was nothing here for him to give him. His worried chain of thought was brought to a sudden standstill, however, as he felt little lips clamp themselves to his right nipple. He moved to pull his son off, but stoped as his son began to suckle, letting out a sigh of contentment. Both nipples began to tingle, and the one the baby wasn't nursing on began to moisten and leak a milky looking liquid. Vegeta could have slaped himself. Of course. A body that just gave birth would produce nurishment for the newborn(s).

Now the second born-a girl-was waking up. It seemed that newborn saiyans have strict internal clocks. He picked her up with his free arm, and held her to his other nipple. Felt her clamp down eagerly at the prospect of food.

It suddenly occured to Vegeta how strange he must look. A man sitting naked in a stream, breat feeding two children, with five more on the shore beside him. Thank god he was miles from civilization.

His son let go of his nipple and droped off to sleep. Vegeta set him back down. Nothing much to do but wait for the next one to wake up.
