Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dragon Ball New Generation ❯ Battle Finish ( Chapter 10 )
Chapter Ten : Battle Finish
They all successfully maneuvered the attackers, and they all resumed their standing positions to see what the evil turning G, Nion, Dende and Popo were going to do next. No different...they attacked again. Dende wasn't much trouble...he was never a real fighter. He was a healer. Though, it was tough not to touch him. After all, he is a guardian. Shin Piccolo stood up to Dende...he couldn't find the heart to hurt him. He knew that Dende wasn't his father, but he never knew his real father. As far as he knew, Dende was his father.
"Dende-san, it's me, Piccolo. Do you remember?"
Evil-Dende just looked on. He couldn't hear anything. Hazell and the others had no trouble fighting Popo. After all, they don't know him. As far as they know, he is an enemy. Piccolo plead to them to not fight them, but they ignored him. He was attacking them, and he was the only one among the four who could fight. Evil-G was still roughing up everyone up pretty bad, not by fighting, but releasing energy blasts when he yelled. No one could get close to him. Bobulla had taken Pan inside the Lookout to rest a little, and she watched on as the battle continued.
"This is not what I wanted to do today." she mumbled.
"I know. Couldn't an old woman like me take it easy?"
Bobulla turned around to see Pan waking up. She smiled as the old woman rubbed her head because of a slight headache.
"I'm getting too old for this" Pan said.
"You're awake, and you seem okay. That's good." Bobulla told her. Pan got up and looked outside. She then realized she was on the Earth's Lookout, and everyone outside was fighting. How could being unconscious for a while make it all like this? Bobulla explained to Pan about Semi and the Earth being transformed into a baron wasteland.
"100 years of peace finally coming to an end..." Pan spoke sadly.
"That end is only the beginning..."
Pan and Bobulla heard the statement and looked behind them. It was Nion. Pan who didn't know what Semi had done, was happy to see her face. Bobulla on the other hand sensed trouble. When Pan realized Bobulla was drawn back from her daughter, she asked what was wrong.
"Semi...that monster. He turned my nephew, my daughter and two other victims into his slaves."
Pan looked outside again and then realized that Bobulla was right. They were fighting their own...not the bug creatures. Bobulla ran up to Nion and grabbed her by her shoulders. She shook her, trying to break her free from the trance she was under.
"Nion!? Nion?! It's me, your mother. Answer me!"
Like Dende, Nion just overlooked the voice and smiled strangely. She began to glow and Pan cried to Bobulla to be careful. The room exploded and the two women were blasted outside into rubble. Everyone turned around, but that little time allowed the enemies to attack them. The rubble moved around a little and out popped Bobulla. She stood up and brushed the rubble off her clothes before helping Pan up. She had protected her from the blast.
"This is no good." Bobulla said hopelessly. Pan agreed.
At that, everyone were blasted backwards after the four bug creatures who remained behind joined the battle. Everyone looked up hopelessly. They couldn't find the heart to hurt those they knew and cared for. The bug creatures laughed, and announced that they were beaten. Semi's voice then was heard, and he told his slaves to go renovate the planet. The four evil turned beings began to fly off. G who couldn't fly before, could now fly because of Semi. Piccolo watched as Popo and Dende ascended into the sky. He couldn't take it no more. He was roughed up a bit because he couldn't find the heart to fight back. He pushed himself to attack him, but at the end he stopped himself. He couldn't. Soon, the four were gone, and the remaining bugs were to kill them once and for all. They created ki blasts each, and hurled them at the heroes. The light enveloped them, and the bugs were laughing victoriously when they noticed that the energy was being pushed up towards them. They watched on nervously, as Gokou, Vegeta, and Piccolo reflected the attack. The bugs dodged this, and then looked down at them. They couldn't believe it. Piccolo who was mostly annoyed released a blast from his mouth and killed one on impact. Gokou and Vegeta killed the rest. Gokun watched them amazed as anything. They were young kids, and they were strong. He didn't have to lift a finger.
"Take that!" Linni laughed.
Piccolo was shaking. He couldn't find himself to grasp the events that just happened. He, like the others always lived a peaceful life, until today, and he believed it was all his fault. He was to protect the dragon balls, and if he did, the enemies would have never had their wishes granted and none of this would've happened.
"What about that guy with the white hair? That little girl? That green guy and fat dude?" Hazell asked.
"We have to stop them...and how the heck do we do that?" Gokun said.
"The old fashion way...beat them up!" Hazell called.
"We know that, but that's not their fault. We have to save them." Gokun told her.
Vegeta was as pissed as Piccolo was, but rather he felt sad. He was Nion's older brother and he didn't do a good job of looking after her. His mind was set. He began to sprint off before flying, and Bobulla called to him. The boy stopped in his tracks and turned to his mother. She was a little injured from the attack Nion made.
"Yes?" Vegeta said, slightly forlorn.
"I know were you are going. Go save her."
Vegeta was surprised. His mother never let him go do such crazy things that could hurt him. She was always so protective after his father died when he was six. Nion never got to know him, and his family never brought it up because his father specifically told them not to be sad when he dies. Because his mother is so sensitive about it, no one ever brought it up. Maybe she now understood him for who he was, and what he was truly capable of.
"Sure mother, and don't worry, I'll bring Nion back to you safely."
And then he flew off. Bobulla smiled, and Hazell crossed her arms.
"Well, he's not going to be the only hero. Lets go guys!"
They all agreed and they all flew off, after they all agreed for Bobulla and Pan to remain on the Lookout. Piccolo stopped anyone to follow him. He, like Vegeta felt like this is what he had to do on his own.

Piccolo continued flying, trying to track down Dende and Popo, but his mind kept wandering. Could he really do what he had to do? Or couldn't he? He landed on top of a mountain range and looked around. The beautiful surroundings were enough to calm his thoughts down. Piccolo sat down onto a large boulder and sighed.
"I don't know if what I'm doing is right here..."
He walked over to a small pond and peered in. It was ironic that the setting was kind of familiar to when he met Nion. This made him feel more sad. Piccolo stared at his reflection in the waters, but the more he looked at it, the more he kept seeing himself as someone else. Yet this "someone" else was like him in appearance.
"You know what you have to do..." came a voice.
This startled the Namek and he jumped up looking around. There was no one. The voice repeated again, and he became sure he was losing it.
"Are you my conscious?" he asked.
"No..."
"Then who or what are you?"
"That doesn't matter at the moment. It's not the right time." came a reply.
"Then what do you want?" Piccolo ordered, yet still petrified.
"Why aren't you going to save Dende and Popo?"
"I can't do it" Shin Piccolo confessed. It was real hard on him.
"You know what you have to do. The choice you have to make isn't always the choice you want."
This simple statement was so true. Piccolo understood and for some reason he believed it. He stood up with determined eyes.
"Now go" the voice said. That was the end of the conversation. Piccolo flew off and soon he tracked down Dende. Popo was no where in sight. The boy descended and confronted Dende.
"Listen Dende-san. You have to listen to me. You are under some mind control. Break free from it. I know you can." His face then turned a little stern, "If you don't I have to force you too."
Evil-Dende who was busy sucking energy out of Earth, by its plants and trees (because he was a healer, now it's opposite as he is evil), stopped and looked at Piccolo. He screamed and leapt at the young Namek. Piccolo was manuvering Dende easy enough, trying not to touch him, but when he lost him, the old controlled Namek appeared out of no where and grabbed him. He started to suck his energy, and Piccolo was becoming weak.
"Let go Dende-san!"
The boy continued to fight free, but he couldn't as long he kept growing weak. As a desperation, he head butt Dende in the head. The old Namek let go and Piccolo was now free. Quickly, he grasp for air and stood up, shaking due to his energy level. He looked at Dende who was lying on the ground. Piccolo dragged himself over to him and looked, hoping for no more surprises. When he didn't move, Piccolo thought that the blow to the head was too much on the old being and he began to grow sad. All of a sudden, Dende began to move and he groaned.
"Dende-san?"
Piccolo helped him up and saw that the vines surrounding his head were beginning to break. Dende then started shouting again, as he was like in spasms. Piccolo couldn't hold him and accidentally broke off the vines around his head. Then Dende stopped and fell asleep, like he was in a bad dream. Piccolo was a little perplexed and shook him gently, calling his name.
"Piccolo?" Dende said.
The relieved boy helped Dende up and he apologized for hitting him in the head. Dende smiled.
"Don't worry about it. I would rather be beaten unconscious than fight you Piccolo."
"Did the vines..." Piccolo began before Dende cut in.
"Yes, the vines surrounding the head was controlling me."
"Then we have to tell the everyone so the others can be saved." Piccolo told him.
"Not so fast."
Dende and Piccolo turned around to see Evil-Popo. Dende looked a little worried, but Piccolo was fine.
"Wait here." he said.
Piccolo fought Popo for a while, and then he tricked him. Piccolo fired a concentrated ki blast and it skimmed the vines on Popo's head. They broke, and Popo fell. Shortly, the man woke up to see Shin Piccolo and Dende standing over him.
"He's okay" Piccolo said.
"I felt like I was in a bad dream." Popo exclaimed.
The three talked for a while, before they agreed that Dende and Popo would go back to the Lookout since Bobulla and Pan were there. Anyhow, Semi and his minions were gone. Shin Piccolo however wasn't finished yet. He had to tell the others about the vines.
***
The others all found themselves in the city. It was cold, and it was covered white. They had stopped here because they had sensed a high power level. Sure enough, it was G. They all fought him, but as before, they couldn't get near him because he kept sending energy waves by yelling at them.
"I'm a little scared. Look at him!" Gokou cried over the noise.
"Don't be!" Gokun yelled back.
He then let go of a pole he was gripping on and powered up and charged at G. He ripped right through the energy and hit G aside. The teenager got up and attacked Gokun, but with no luck. When G yelled again, his energy had striked a wall of ice and it came crashing onto Gokun. Desperately, Hazell, Linni and Pastri fired ki blasts at G. They were able to blast him back and then they leapt to attack him. As they fought, Gokou ran up to the ice and called out his name, but when the girls got into trouble, Gokou had to step in. The ice surrounding Gokun then broke around him as he escaped by powering up. He then began charging up a great energy blast, ready to finish G, when Piccolo appeared above him. Piccolo had sensed the fight and when he realised what was going to happen to G, he called to Gokun to stop. It was too late. Gokun fired the blast and Piccolo had to deflect the attack by using his own. The energy collision was enough to miss G, but swipe the vines off his head. G collapsed and went into a deep sleep. After Piccolo explained to them about the vines, Gokun was relieved that he turned up when he did. Linni helped G up, but Hazell needed to aid her.
"Is Vegeta back yet?" Piccolo inquired.
***
Vegeta was walking around the snow, keeping an eye out. He could sense Nion nearby, but she was hiding.
"Nion, come out!" he called, "It's me, Vegeta!"
The girl sure enough was hiding in the branches of the trees. She could see Vegeta.
"Mum's waiting for you at the Lookout. She's worried. Come home now!" he added. He kept walking when he heard the russle of tree branches. Vegeta looked up to see nothing. They russled again, but when he looked up, nothing. This happened up to five times. When he looked up for the sixth time, Nion appeared above him and she attacked him head on. Vegeta moved away, and the girl stood up. Vegeta repeated his plea to his sister, but he was ignored.
She kept attacking him, and he blocked, but the more she threw punches, the more they became direct. He noticed this, and finally she was able to put a minor scratch on his face. This startled him.
"Nion, don't make me fight you. Don't you remember who I am?" he asked.
Nion attacked and Vegeta tripped her over, thinking that would stop her, but Nion quickly got up and head butt him in his stomach. This was no laughing matter. For real. Vegeta concluded that she could fight a little because of Semi, so he had to fight back. It was for his sister's own good. He was able to trick her, and he grabbed her arms and pulled them behind her. She struggled to break free as Vegeta tried to talk to her again.
"Listen Nion, mum 'is' worried about you. She misses you. You know mum cares for you."
The little girl stopped moving for a while before reacting again.
"Liar!" she yelled.
Nion closed her red eyes and power began to encircle her. Vegeta felt this energy, and he was really stunned. Nion let go of her power, and it blasted Vegeta backwards into a nearby cliff, taking some trees along with him. He got himself out of the cliff and looked at Nion in surprise. Was this for real? He knew that she was a Saiya...true blood...but this was uncanny for a girl her age, who had no fighting abilities to create such a blast.
"I mean it Nion." Vegeta said again. His face turned sour.
"And I'm sorry that G and I weren't looking after you before. We really are."
Nion's angry face relaxed a little.
"Understand that we are stubborn people, but don't worry Nion. Mother and I still love you. G and Linni, and our uncles and aunts too! I am sorry." This took great effort for Vegeta to say this.
Nion began running at Vegeta with her eyes red and arms out like a wild cat. Vegeta didn't know if he could save her. He closed his eyes and thought to himself, "Sorry mother. I tried."
But just as when he thought Nion was about to claw herself at him, it didn't come. He looked up to see the little girl hugging him. Her face buried into his blue shirt.
"Nion?"
She looked up. Her eyes normal again.
"Thanks Vegeta. I miss you, mama, Linni and G too."
Nion hugged him again. Vegeta was a little perplexed at what just happened, but who cares? Nion was fine now. He hugged her back and removed the vines around her head and body, until she was back in her purple/pink top and green shorts.
"How touching"
Vegeta and Nion looked up to see Semi. He laughed at them and teased them.
"Enjoy that little family reunion. It will be your last."
Nion began to shiver once again, and ran behind Vegeta's back.
"Looks like we got some company? The more the merrier. Then again, the more fun for me!" Semi said.
Vegeta and Nion looked up behind them to see some familiar faces. It was Gokou Jr, Shin Piccolo and Gokun.
"Hi Vegeta" Gokou said.
"Where are the others? Are they okay?"
"G? Dende-san? Popo-san? No sweat. They're fine. They're with everyone else at the Lookout." Gokun told him.
"Enough of this. So much for renovating the Earth...looks like I'm going to get rid of all of you myself."
Semi jumped off the ledge he was standing on and landed easily on the ground. He was ready for battle.
"Nion, go hide over there" Vegeta told her without facing her. He was busy keeping his eyes on the enemy. Nion wasted no time and ran for her dear life as the battle began between the young fighters and the mighty Semi. Nion watched from behind a ice wall.
"What are you doing here? No one to babysit you?"
Nion turned around to see Koogari looming over her. She screamed and ran out as he punched the wall, turning it into small ice cubes. He chased her, but couldn't get a grab of her. She kept slipping away. This enraged Koogari and he sent a great energy attack towards the running girl. Gokou saw this and jumped in and deflected the attack. Shin Piccolo saw Nion run off and chased her to get her to safety after Vegeta asked him too. Gokou and Koogari began to battle, while Vegeta and Gokun took on Semi.
Piccolo kept yelling to Nion to calm down, but she kept running. She was thinking Koogari was still chasing her. Gokou was fighting well, but occasionally got hit here and there. He remembered what Pastri told him a while ago. Koogari was stronger than he was, but was she matching him to his normal state or Super Saiya-jin state? The boy switched himself into a Super Saiya-jin and soon got the upper hand. Koogari was defeated when SSJ Gokou Jr sent a Kamehameha wave at him.
Vegeta and Gokun also didn't have much trouble with Semi either. Yes he was stronger than Koogari, but their were 2 Saiya-jins against him. Semi was forced to realize that these kids might defeat him, and this crushed him, especially after he told the Dragon to make him the strongest being on Earth. When Gokou appeared, he told Semi that he defeated Koogari easily. This was more annoying than before. Not being able to take this knowledge in, Semi wasn't ready to give up yet.
"You think it's all over for me..." Semi chuckled under his breath, "But you are so wrong..."
He began to gather energy around him and the surroundings began to shake. Gokou, Vegeta and Gokun watched. Piccolo who had finally got hold of Nion told her who he was. Nion was relieved, knowing it wasn't Koogari, but then they began to notice the foundations around them moving too.
"What's going on?!" cried Nion
They all watched Semi continue gathering energy, but for what? Was Semi meaning it when he said that it wasn't over for him yet?
