Chapter Thirteen - Premonitions

The images remained the same. For the past few days, Shin Piccolo had the same reoccurring pictures in his head when he was meditating. This really disturbed him, so he approached the guardian of Earth, Dende, and he learned that he too had felt something stirring.
"How come we Namekseijins can see things that most others cannot?" little Piccolo asked Dende.
"It's a basic ability that we have. In my old days, our father Guru had that power. We all could sense trouble, either if it were enemies such as Cell or Majin Buu. At times, we too pass this trait on to other born Nameks or even our creations."
Another lesson on home. Piccolo listened intently, but it didn't stop the worries he had. Dende only told him to calm down. Nothing could be done until later on. Piccolo however didn't want to do this. He still felt like it was his fault that Semi had his wish granted five months ago, and he didn't want something bad to happen again, even if the dragon balls were almost recharged half in power. A full year hasn't been done yet.

"Going back to school two weeks after Semi came was a drag."
"Yeah, but now it's the school holidays again!"
Vegeta Jr and Gokou Jr were very excited. They had both gone to different schools. Gokou went to a public school in Satan City. He did reasonable well in his school work. Vegeta went to a private school on the other side of town. He is very smart, and is always many steps in front of his class. At times, Vegeta is pushed a year ahead. After school, the two would meet up at the city park and play some sport, or train. Gokun joined in too, when he wasn't busy at work helping young children. Today however, the two were set to go on a camp which Bobulla had paid for. She didn't want any hassles like the last holiday. So she paid for Nion, Hazell, Linni, G, Gokun, and Pastri to go too. Pan was to stay over Capsule Corporation while they were away, which she was fine with.

"Too bad Piccolo can't go." said Gokou.
"He didn't want to go. He told me that he has to protect the dragon balls and keep a look out for danger." Vegeta told him.
"Is he still blaming himself?"
This was from Gokun. He had just arrived at the bus station which was going to take them, and thirty other young kids to the camp site.
"Yeah he is."
"He's got to chill for a while. He'll turn green to purple if he keeps worrying."
"And loose his hair too!" Gokou added.
Gokun and Vegeta began to laugh, but Gokou didn't understand. 30 minutes later, everyone was on the bus heading out of the city. The ride was suppose to take three hours to get too, and those who could fly began to become irritated, whining they could fly faster than this. When they all arrived, they couldn't believe how beautiful the site was. It was set in a huge blooming forest, with a waterfall, and if you head out further, a beach. The camp site was actually situated on a small island, that was abandoned a few years ago. It was a tourist resort, but something happened, and then it was up for sale.
"This place doesn't look haunted." Linni said.
"The rumours were all untrue." Vegeta added.

The children were all broken up into their cabins. They were separated by age group, and gender, so the only ones who got to stay together in their group cabins were Vegeta and Gokou, and Pastri and Linni, and G and Gokun. Hazell and Nion were in other cabins, individually. That night, everyone was called for a great feast to celebrate the beginning of two full weeks of fun...sports, arts, games, music, everything! It was only that time, at the party that the kids all were able to sit together at the same table.

"I've had better food than this. I could've stayed at home and ate better, and aunt wouldn't have to pay for me." G whined.
Everyone laughed, before he and Vegeta began arguing again. Hazell and Linni ate away, as everyone was joking around at G and Vegeta. They both looked around.
"I see nothing evil, or haunted..." Hazell said.
"Yeah," Linni agreed, "But I would like to know what happened back then that scared everyone away."

As the night continued away with food, music and dancing, no one was aware of the dangers that were hanging over their heads. From a great distant, in a cave deep in the forest, evil was rejuvenating. It's eyes glowed with fury, and it's power, unstoppable. It won't be long now.

The night soon came to a close, and everyone were sleeping in their cabins. It had taken them a while to fall asleep because they were so excited, for the next day, they were all to go rock climbing and swimming. At 6am, all the campers were woken up to have breakfast. By 6.30am, the camp leaders broke them into 2 large groups. One were to rock climb first, and another, swimming. The boys all enjoyed rock climbing, and when it came to races, it was down to the young heroes to see who would be the victor. The girls joined in, but were no match for the boys. Nion however was the only one who was swimming. Rock climbing was too big for a little girl like her. The next few days continued to be like this. Full of fun and adventures, and the evil was becoming stronger. It had stayed suppressed...no one knew...except Shin Piccolo and Dende.

"My visions are becoming worse."
Dende agreed. With the help of Popo, they were able to track down the source of power. Shin Piccolo became slightly more disturbed. He knew that his friends were at that exact place for their vacation. He had to warn them, but he wasn't sure how.
"What is it?" Dende asked.
"It's nothing."
Dende wasn't convinced. He was hiding something, but he wasn't going to ask him what it was. Dende understood that this was Piccolo's decision. If it was a mistake, he'll have to learn from it. After all, he was planning one day, for Piccolo to become the guardian of the earth.

On the 5th day at camp, there was going to be a huge festival filled with dancing and food, games and music.
"This is going to rock!" Gokun exclaimed.
"Yeah!" Vegeta agreed.
"I just want to get my teeth into that food!" said Gokou.
They all had such a ball, and when the night was coming to a finish, something happened. G had just danced with Hazell, and together they walked over to the table where Gokun and Gokou were sitting.
They noticed their facial expressions. It was serious.
"What's the matter you guys?" Hazell asked.
"You both look so serious." G added.
"Can you sense that? Something terrible." Gokun mumbled.
"Huh?"
"We felt is an hour ago, and it's getting stronger. We don't know what it is."
"Are you sure?"
G and Hazell concentrated. They couldn't sense much, only a fraction. It was real light.
"Something is suppressing it." Gokun said.
"I agree, and if that's true, then there is a chance it could be something bad." Vegeta said. He just walked over holding a drink.
They all sensed it now, and they were real worried. It had only been a few months since Semi turned up, and it was a close battle. If this was another enemy, maybe stronger, how could they handle the heat? They hadn't really trained much since then. All of a sudden, they felt the energy circle the hall they were in. The walls began to shake, and the other children and adults were running wild. They watched as the wall collapsed, and a huge being appeared before them. It was white with strange horns coming out of it's back. The children all agreed. It was the face of evil.

It looked around, and he drew his attention to the young group of fighters. They weren't really afraid. Ii-Shenron smiled. He remembered a few faces since his last battle.
"I don't remember reading anything about catfish monsters in the camp brochure." Vegeta said.
