Chapter Fifteen - Advance in Power

"Wasn't that a close call?" Piccolo said, wiping the sweat off his face, "But who saved them?"
"It was Kaioshin, I can't believe it!" Dende cried.
"Its a miracle" Popo sighed in relief.
"Who is that?"
"The ultimate overseer of the universe Piccolo. I had the chance to meet him in the days of Majin Buu. Was pretty exciting, and he was a loyal being. Ready to help anyone in need." Dende explained.
"That's good to know he's on our side, but what are his intentions? He would know that he cannot escape Ii for long." Piccolo told them. The cold truth.
"Have confidence in the Kai Piccolo. You're father did."

Gokou could feel his body being overcome by warmth. As he was coming to, he could hear some voices surrounding him.
"Get up Gokou. You're fixed now."
The young boy opened his eyes. At first he thought he was dead, but now he wasn't so sure. He saw G, Gokun and Vegeta standing around, with their clothes tattered.
"Am I dead?" he asked.
"No you aren't. You and the others came close, but luck was on your side today."
Gokou turned around to the voice to see a young purple being with long white hair, smiling down onto him.
"Who are you?"
"Shame. Don't these kids know who they are talking too? He just saved all your lives." An old purple being then appeared from under a tree, reading a manga.
"Disgraceful." He said.
"I'm sorry, but who are you then?" Gokou inquired. The 3 other boys also walked over.
"I am Kaioshin. The Supreme Kai of the universe, and this is my elder known as Rou Kaioshin."
Gokou just looked at them in amazement. G and Gokun had the exact same expression on, but Vegeta was more critical.
"You don't look like it. I thought at least you look green with pointy ears, like the guardian of earth."
"No no, we don't look like that. For your information, guardians all look different."
"Why did you bring us here?" G asked.
"So many questions! You teenagers are a wreck. Can't keep your mouth shut for one short second. We could've let you die." Old Kai yelled.
Kaioshin smiled in embarrassment.
"Never mind him. We brought you here because you are our only hope against Ii-Shenron."
"Yeah?" G said, "But didn't you see how we got our tails whipped?"
"We aren't strong enough." Gokun added.
"There you go again! If you keep your shuts closed, young Kai here can explain." Rou Kaioshin yelled once again. The young boys just sneered, as Kaioshin smiled in embarrassment again.
"I understand the circumstances, so that is why I am taking the liberty, alongside Rou Kaioshin here, to train you."
"Would that buy us enough time?" G asked.
"It sounds good and all, but how do we know you're training will benefit us? No offense, but you can't train us in an hour." Vegeta told Kaioshin.
"Same blood I see." Kaioshin laughed. He was referring to the young boy's resemblance to Vegeta Snr.
"Listen. Since the old days, we have advanced dramatically. This planet may look dull and green, but it hides great secrets. I guess we can give thanks to Majin Buu for that." Kaioshin laughed.
"That's correct," Rou Kaioshin said, "Since that Buu fought Gokou on this planet years ago, it left certain rips in the dimension. Buu was capable of that. We never realized this till 20 years after Ii made his last appearance."
Kaioshin led the boys to a side of a rock wall.
"Rock wall? Maybe, but look closer."
The boys looked careful as Kaioshin walked into the wall. He motioned for all of them to enter. They did so, and found themselves in a great white dimension.
"What is this place?" asked Gokou.
"This is a place where dimension has split, and has allowed us to seek solitude when needed. Although you can be in here, time flows exactly the same. I guess that is a disadvantage."
"Is this where you are planning for us to train?" asked Vegeta.
Kaioshin just simply nodded, before adding that the dimension split is small so it cannot hold more than two people at a time, or the seal of the dimension split will heal it self, and they will be trapped in forever.
"If two at a time, what will the others do?" Gokou asked everyone.
"I guess we can train out here." Vegeta suggested, before the panicking Rou Kaioshin jumped in.
"No, you better not do that. The whole point of training in that dimension is because it buys you time to become stronger. Its a place where Ii cannot sense your power levels while training, so he can't find us. If you train out here, he would definitely sense your powers. That would be disastrous."
"So what are we suppose to do? Take a break and watch Ii terrorize the universe?" G argued.
"Calm down," Old Kai said, "We're Kais, we are smarter than you take us for. If you think about that, that is pretty low."
"Old Kai is correct." The younger Kai smiled, "There are other ways to raise your power levels. For instance, there exist other dimension tares. The great Kai here," he pointed at Old Kai, "has a unique ability to raise a person's power level by a 48 hour ritual. But if you think about it, you probably could train outside here, but only if you keep your power rather suppressed. I remember when Gokou and Vegeta had to power up extensively to get Majin Buu's attention."
"You better be right. If I find out you're on the side of evil, we'll turn you into dirt." Vegeta said.
Kaioshin was a patient man. This statement only amused him.
"You still doubt Old Kai and I?" he began walking away to a high cliff wall, "I don't know about all of you, but she seems okay with it."
Kaioshin opened another split to reveal another white dimension inside. To the boys amazement, Nion was training, kicking air and punching her surroundings.
"Nion is here?"
"Since when could she fight?"
"She came back to the battle field, and I had to take her too. Ii could have destroyed her. When I told Nion-chan about the situation, she agreed and begun her training straight away, and an hour later, the first of you boys came through from unconsciousness." Kaioshin told them.
Vegeta ran up to Nion, and grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Why are you here?"
"Vegeta, you're alright. I'm glad!" Nion chirped.
Vegeta didn't know what to say now. I guess he had to be grateful that Kaioshin saved her. He had to be good then.
"Is Linni, Pastri and Hazell okay?" G asked.
Nion nodded, before telling them that they don't know she snuck off. The boys all got worried, until Kaioshin said, "Oh, two other Saiya-jins right? The other is also a great fighter. You shouldn't be worried. Those young girls are stronger than they look. If Ii does stir trouble, they can fight back."
"How come you know all this?" Gokun asked. He had meant to ask him earlier but it slipped his mind.
"I am an overseer. Last time I didn't keep a close eye on Earth, and never realized what fighters existed there. Now I keep a good eye on it, and so I have seen all of you grow up. You needed a hand, and so I produced help for you."
"Its all good," Gokou begun, "but what about Ii? Where is he right now? He hasn't destroyed the Earth yet has he?"
"No he hasn't." Rou Kaioshin said. He was looking through a crystal ball, so everyone huddled around him.
"Ii is in space searching for all of you. Its good for us to know he doesn't know where the Kai planet is. He only wants to kill you first before he takes over the universe."
"But if we don't show up when his patience wears thin, he'll begin destroying everything. We have no time to sit around. We have to begin training now." Gokun told them. They all agreed. G turned to Vegeta.
"Since when could Nion fight? You haven't answered that question yet."
"After Semi made his appearance, I begun training her. I realized she had some power like Linni and Pastri. She's pretty strong. What about you?"
"Huh?"
"Since when could you fight?"
"I studied the basics, but learnt flying and energy manipulation on my own."
"Why now? Didn't you hate fighting?"
"Yeah, but after Semi, I realized that its not all bad. It can be used for good. To defend others."
Vegeta nodded. Time has come for extensive training, but how long can they train before Ii finds them?
