Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dragon Ball New Generation ❯ Survival of the Fittest ( Chapter 18 )
"Where is Piccolo heading off too?" Linni asked.
"Who knows, but he looks like he has an idea. Can't be too bad then."
Hazell said.
Popo then announced for the next two to enter the room of time and spirit.
Android 18 and Hazell decided to wait outside while Linni and Pastri went
in first. Android 18 walked over to Dende who was still standing at the
edge of the Lookout.
"Are you positive that this will work?"
"I'm not sure."

Ii Shenron was getting real angry. It was now the second day, and he
still couldn't track down his victims. After yelling his brains out, Ii
began shooting planet after planet, trying to calm himself a little.
Lucky for everyone, no one lived on those planets.
"I know. I will lure those kids out and then I will have them in my own
trap!"
Ii laughed, and continued on his journey.

The next few days filtered through. Training was successful, without any
signs of evil Ii. Those on Earth and on the Kaioshin planet were becoming
stronger, faster, developing new attacks. G was the first to finish his
training in the dimension rip. Now he was just training outside on the
grass of the Kaioshin planet. Gokun was half was through the Old Kai's
power raising ritual. He was still coping. Gokun was using the time to
meditate too. Concentrate his powers so they could become better.
"I wonder how grandma is going..." Gokou wondered, "I hope she's fine."
"I'm sure she is Gokou. She can still put up a good fight right?" G
asked him.
"Not as much as she was a kid. The doctor said that because she has a
health problem, she can't stress herself out anymore."
"Sounds like only the strong will survive." G said.
"And innocent will be caught in the crossfire." Kaioshin told them, "You
must keep training to protect them and your family."
Kaioshin was still training young Nion by helping her focus her power
better. He didn't have much to do, so he trained her. Kaioshin believed
this little girl couldn't help much, but he had to help all of them as
much as possible.
"Am I getting better?" Nion asked after taking a breather.
"Yes you are. Keep going."

On Earth, Shin Piccolo was flying over the ocean. He had an idea. Bad
news was that Earth may be in trouble, but the good news was that he and
the other girls could help defend. But after remembering something, the
good news just got better. Piccolo finally came to his destination and
floated above looking down. The house looked the same, and he wondered if
they would remember him since when he was in the Room of Time and Spirit,
he had grown quite a bit. Piccolo descended and walked to the front door.
Should he knock? Of course, it was a polite thing to do. Before he was
about to, he could hear some voices inside. It sounded like the
television was on.
Knock knock.
"Is anyone home?"
Of course they were.
There were a few steps before the fly screen opened. The person looked
straight at Piccolo, who suddenly felt uneasy. He should've thought about
what to say. Too late.
"Hi, you might not remember me but - "
"Ah, its you!" the person said.
"You remember me?"
"How could I forget. How could we all forget? Since Semi isn't here no
more, I take it that you and your friends defeated him?"
Piccolo chuckled before nodding. The boy invited him inside, and he
accepted.
"Hey guys, do you remember him?"
Two other boys looked up with bright smiles. They were watching
television.
"Yeah of course we do." one said.
"Just don't remember your name. Sorry if you told us." another said.
"I don't think I told you." Piccolo thought, "My name is Shin Piccolo."
"I'm not surprised." came a voice. It was Kame-sennin.
"I knew that was your name...you look exactly like Piccolo. But why the
same name?"
"He's my father."
"WHAT!!!???" Kame-sennin freaked.
Piccolo just laughed before asking for their names. One introduced
himself as Rue, another as Thyme and the leader among the boys was Sage.
Piccolo explained to them about Ii-Shenron. Kame-sennin remembered the
name, and shuttered. He couldn't believe he was back. Piccolo then went
on to explain about training, and he and his friends needed their help.
"Are you crazy?" Kame-sennin cried, "These boys are strong, but against
that dragon?!"
Sage, Thyme and Rue looked at each other and smiled at Piccolo. They
agreed to help despite their Master's advice to remain behind.
"This is what we want Master." Rue told him.
Kame-sennin noticed the fire in his students eyes. He couldn't help
remember his youth the same. It was bad, but he understood them.
"Okay then."
Piccolo was happy to have new additions to the team, and he further told
them about the Room of Time and Spirit. The boys however refused to enter
the room.
"Why?" Piccolo asked.
"We have trained since we were only little kids. We are strong, but it
sounds like Ii is unbeatable. We are only humans, and you know that we
can't defeat him. We can stall him, and that's all."
Piccolo nodded. They were right.
"It sounds like your Master here has trained you all well."

Ii Shenron was now back on Earth. He had kept his ki suppressed so no one
could sense him. It was his way to annoy the young fighters. That was
the final straw!
"I can't take this no more! I'm going to kill every single human here on
Earth until those darn kids show their selves. Cowards!"
Ii flew down into a city and started blasting his surroundings. News crew
were hot on the scene, trying to get a decent picture of the incident.
Back on Kame-sennin's isolated island, the boys were all talking when
Kame-sennin called them over urgently.
"What is it Master?" Thyme asked.
"The TV!"
They all looked at the TV to see a news flash of a huge incident in one of
the cities. Watching in horror, the boys listened as the scared news
reader explained of a large creature causing explosions, destroying
everything in sight. They weren't the only ones to see the broadcast.
Those on the Lookout and at Capsule Corporation were also tuned in.
"That's Ii!" Kame-sennin exclaimed when the monster's picture showed up.
They listened as Ii was shouting for the Saiya-jins to show up. Piccolo
was stunned, as was Kame-sennin. Ii then attacked the news crew and
looked straight into the camera.
"If you dumb humans want me to stop demolishing your planet and
inhabitants, bring me those Saiya-jins now!"
Then the screen turned black and white. Piccolo looked around serious.
"What are Saiya-jin?" Sage asked.
"Long story..." Kame-sennin said. He turned to Piccolo, "Where are they?"
"They are training in space before they will go up against Ii. I don't
think they are strong enough yet."
"You mean your other friend?" Rue asked. He was referring to Vegeta...he
and his friends also met him the same day they met Piccolo. The green boy
nodded.
"There are others too."
"We'll have to buy some time then. We can go stall him for now." Sage
suggested.
"Sounds like we're digging our own grave here Sage." Thyme sighed.
"Listen." Piccolo began, "I think this might be better if we go to the
Earth's lookout. We can devise a plan when we consult Dende and the
others."
"Lookout? Dende? Others?" The boys asked, but their was no time. They
all followed Piccolo to the Lookout in a flash. Kame-sennin told them to
be careful, and turned back to the television set.
After arriving on the Lookout, Piccolo introduced his 3 friends to Dende,
Popo, Hazell and Android 18. He explained they were here to help. Hazell
and 18 laughed at Sage, confusing everyone but Sage.
"I didn't expect you to be here Hazell."
"You too."
"You know Piccolo Sage?" 18 asked.
The three talked a while before Piccolo interrupted.
"You know each other?"
Hazell laughed.
"Yeah. Sage is my cousin."
Everyone freaked out. Such a small world eh? 18 told Dende and Mr Popo
that Sage descended from her brother's family line, Android 17.
"But didn't he die?" Dende asked.
"You expect 17 to live on Earth for that long, and not begin a family?
You don't know 17." 18 laughed. "I didn't know 17 did, until it caught up
with time."
"Oh really? Okay." Dende mumbled. What strange news!
"Did you hear about Ii?" Hazell asked, "He is attacking Earth right now!
We have to do something about it. 18 and I haven't gone into the Room of
Time and Spirit just yet. Two of my other friends are in there
training."
"Then we will go." Rue announced proudly.
"No."
It was from Piccolo. He was thinking a little.
"I will go first. I am much stronger than before. You three will jump in
if I need you. Strength isn't always the major thing that can win...mind
is important too."
They all looked at the boy. He looked calm. He seemed to know what he
was doing. They all argued with him, but Piccolo's decision was made.
Sage decided to break the rules and told him when he goes he will follow.
Sage didn't believe Piccolo was that powerful against Ii. Piccolo had no
choice but to create a diversion by blinding them all. When they all
looked up, he was gone.
