A Glimpse Of Hope

"Oh no! We're done for!"
Everyone heard Kaioshin yell.
"What's the matter Kaioshin-san?" Nion asked.
Kaioshin was sweating bullets as he gazed through the crystal ball.
"Its Ii...he managed to get hold of all the Dragon Balls, and now he's stronger than we could all imagine!!!"
Nion and Vegeta ran up to look through the crystal ball. Kaioshin was right.
Gokun also got up and ran to the crystal ball.
"No joke...Ii is making a mess down there." he said.
He then realized that he ran away from his power ritual.
"Oh man, I forgot! Now I wrecked up the ritual, and I have to start all over again."
They all had sweat drops, and Gokun paced back to Elder Kai who had his face in a manga.
"I'm so sorry Old Kai..."
"What are you talking about?" Kai asked.
"I wrecked up didn't I?"
"What do you mean?"
"I left half way through the ritual..." Gokun said.
"No you didn't. I finished a while ago."
"WHAT?!" they all cried, dropping to the ground. Kaioshin sighed.
"I feel a sense of dejavu here...."

"What about Piccolo-san and Linni?" Nion asked desperately. Everyone turned around, to the crystal ball. They had forgotten.
"We have to help them now. We've waited long enough." Vegeta said.
"Well then, Gokun you'll go!" said Elder Kai.
"Why me? I'm not done training yet!"
"Right now, you are the mightiest one here. Even though everyone else trained, you took a special training and it let you grow stronger by just sitting on your behind." Elder Kai said.
Kaioshin stepped forward with his hands in the air.
"Yes I know Gokun is stronger, but is he enough to defeat Ii-Shenron?!"
"Who knows...that's why I'm still going to put the rest of these kids through this ritual. Gokun is the only one at the moment who is ready."
Everyone swallowed hard, but Gokun was ready. He could feel his power, and he knew he could make a difference. Nion grabbed his hand,
"Be careful Gokun-san."
He nodded, and turned to Vegeta.
"I don't see why you're always teasing your sister...she's real gentle and sweet."
Vegeta crossed his arms and smiled,
"Well, its my job as a bigger brother Gokun."
Gokun smiled and Kaioshin grabbed his shoulder, ready to teleport.
"Do your best Gokun...I promised Nion that mother will be okay. Till I get back to kill Ii myself, stall him the best you can."
Gokun laughed.
"No Vegeta, I will kill him."
and with that, Kaioshin and Gokun were gone. Vegeta smiled to himself.
"We'll see..."
Elder Kai yelled for G and Gokou to come outside. They were surprised that Gokun already left, but after realizing the situation, they sat under Elder Kai's hands and went through the power raising ritual too.
Nion laughed and joined in, but Vegeta stood afar. He didn't want to become stronger by not physically training for it.
"Vegeta, what are you doing?" G asked.
"Yeah, come join us." Gokou insisted.
Vegeta didn't say a word and stood still. He didn't like it, but if the rest of them got stronger, he would be left behind, and so Vegeta approached them and sat together. Elder Kai smiled and put his manga aside.
"4 people at the same time will take plenty of energy and concentration...I can't read yet. Damn, just as I got to the good part."
They all looked at the old man is disbelief.

Gokun and Kaioshin stood on some high rocks and looked around. The place was messed up pretty bad.
"I can tell that fiend came through here." Kaioshin said.
Gokun thanked the being then flew off in the direction where the trouble was starting.
"Are you sure about this Gokun?" Kaioshin called to him before he disappeared over the horizon.
Gokun just gave him the thumbs up and said,
"Trust me about this."
Kaioshin watched him go and thought to himself.
I hope this will work out, but Gokun...his feeling of defeating Ii was like Gohan when he left to beat Majin Buu, but Buu eventually ate him. I hope Gokun can avoid a similar fate, but Gokun...something is different with this one to Gohan but what?

Piccolo and his friends all watched as the super powered Ii made his way to them.
"We can't defeat something like that." Pastri cried.
They all said nothing, but they all knew. Ii saw their faces and it made him smile.
"After I kill all of you, I will kill the Saiya-jin! Of course, you all are just a warm up."
Ii zanzoukened in front of the young warriors, and they all slinked away, not in fear, but in the power they felt in Ii. Piccolo raised his finger and threatened him. He felt he had to fight because he let the Earth down again. Like Semi, Ii was able to get his hands on the Dragon Balls. Even though it was to the death, it didn't bother him.
Ii laughed and grabbed Piccolo's garments.
"Aren't you afraid of my power boy?"
"You may have power, but we have the brains!"
Piccolo delivered a powerful kick to the side of his head, but the monster didn't flinch.
"Was that it? I expected more from you Piccolo...and now I will kill you properly this time, along with your friends."
Ii tossed Piccolo into his friends, and they watched as Ii charged up a gigantic energy sphere. He threw it at forward and they watched in horror as the ball fell onto them. It was so big, they couldn't get out in time.
Ii watched the attack descend over his victims, but it began to bother him when it stopped moving. He looked down below him to see a person standing in front of his victims. He watched as the person pushed the attack back at Ii, but he maneuvered out safely.
Ii watched his attack leave the earth through the sky, and turned to see a young man standing in front of Piccolo and his allies. Ii recognized the face, and so did Piccolo.
"Gokun! I don't believe it!"
"Just in time!"
Gokun turned to his friends.
"I'll take care of things here, so get out of here now."
"Are you sure about this?" Pastri asked.
Piccolo noticed that Gokun wasn't the same anymore. Something was different.
"Do what Gokun says, and lets get out of here. He will be fine."
Everyone left, and Gokun nodded at Piccolo. Piccolo returned the gesture and flew off. Ii watched this and was about to go follow them when Gokun stopped him.
"Why go after them? You're battle stands here."
Ii smirked and felt that Gokun did get stronger, but it didn't worry him. After all, he had all 7 Dragon Balls in him now, and so he's absolutely invincible.
"If you say so..." said Ii.

After everyone was safely out of sight, Gokun readied himself. Ii looked at him like a pile of dirt.
"And you're going through with this?"
Gokun said nothing.
"Silly boy...I have no time for the likes of you!"
Ii flew at a lightning speed to track Piccolo, Rue, Thyme and the others down, but Gokun appeared in front of him and stopped Ii from hurting his friends.
Ii sneered.
"Get out of my way boy, or I'll make you pay!" Ii powered up to create an aura around him, to push Gokun out of the way. The aura grew bigger and bigger until it was about to touch Gokun, but the boy had his own plans. Gokun also powered up and broke Ii's energy sphere. Ii looked at Gokun as the boy told him,
"Like I said Ii, you're battle is with me!"
