Return to The Battlefield

Shanaa and Ryoma lounged lazily on the couch, watching Real TV with Bra and Angel. They weren't paying much attention to the screen until Angel let out a terrified yelp and stood up. "SERENA! DAD! THEY'RE BACK!" She screamed, running out to the backyard. Serena and Vejita looked up, confused. "Who?" Vejita asked. "The androids!" Both Serena and Vejita looked at each other and nodded. "Go get everyone ready, Angel. Find out where those bastards are and we'll go." Angel nodded and ran back into the house, rushing around to get everyone else ready for battle and to find the information Serena needed. Ryoma was a little confused by this. "What is she talking about, androids?" He asked Shanaa as she thundered up the stairs to change. "Yes. Androids. Powerful motherfuckers who aren't human. I'm sure we can take them now that we have you." She smiled and rummaged through her drawers for her clothes, pulling out a pair of her mother's orange gii pants and a black tank top. "Change into something you can move around in. Something you're not afraid to get a little dirty." She stomped her feet into her boots and headed back downstairs to find out what Angel knew.

Ryoma was still confused, but changed into black gii pants and a black tank top, shoving his feet into a pair of blue and red boots that Goku had given him. He followed Keko and Reoko down the stairs and out the door when Serena called for them to follow. "They're forty miles south of here, so you all know what to do. Top speed. No slowing down or stopping. If you can't handle it, then stay behind. The rest of you, let's get going." They all nodded and took to the air, reaching the desired spot in a little under twenty minutes. Shanaa stopped first and waited for the others. Something in her mind clicked and she turned to Angel. "The news said there were TWO androids, right?" Her aunt nodded. "But I destroyed one of them last time. How could there still be two?" Serena gasped. She had forgotten about this. "That's right... ok guys, this could mean that #24 might have back up this time. Be on your guard and don't drop it for ANYTHING!" She ordered. The group gave a solemn nod and descended slowly, stepping down so softly that the dirt never came up in little wispy clouds.

Shanaa and Ryoma headed out first. The plan was to split up into twos and the first group to either spot the androids or be confronted, were to raise their kii so the others knew where to go. "Just be really quiet." Shanaa said softly. Ryoma nodded and followed her lead, his eyes not really sure where to look. Shanaa jumped when she stepped on a child's broken toy and dropped down low. She looked around wildly, hoping nobody had heard that. As soon as she was sure the coast was clear, she dragged Ryoma out into the open. Nothing. Well, nothing that THEY could see. "Well. You showed up after all." Came a voice. It was #24, standing in the shadow of a fallen tree. Shanaa gasped and immediately made her kii shoot through the roof, a light bluish flame encircling her.

"Is this the little minx that destroyed #23?" Another voice asked from the shadows. It was a female's voice. Shanaa spun around and gaped when she saw the woman behind her. Long, flowing red hair and a to-die-for body. Her hair was slicked back at the top and swished freely down her back as she walked into the sunlight. Shanaa could see that she had almost golden eyes. Eyes that seemed to look everywhere, but stayed fixed on her. "You killed my baby brother. You wont get away with it either!" The woman was suddenly charging at Shanaa, so fast that Shanaa had no time to react and was smashed head-first into the ground. Ryoma gave a loud yelp of surprise and turned back to the woman. "Oh. Did I hurt her?" She asked, a smile teasing her ruby lips. Ryoma narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists. "What the Hell is your problem? She didn't attack you!" He yelled. The woman laughed and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "No. But she destroyed my brother. You know how that feels, don't you, Ryoma?" Ryoma's face was drained of all it's color as the woman advanced on him. "Yes. You know. Your so-called brother, the one who shared your name, was destroyed by Vejita. Was he not?" Ryoma nodded a little, surprised that this woman knew about that.

"What's wrong Ryoma? Why do you look so scared? It's not you I'm after. It's your bitch that I want dead." She smiled at him and placed a hand on his face. "I don't think I could hurt a face like this..." She started to lean forward, those poisonous looking lips nearing his. "GET OFF!" Shanaa shoved the android aside and put her arms tight around Ryoma. Blood covered part of her face, dripping onto the dirt as she panted. "Don't you touch him... he's MY mate you stupid android bitch!" She roared, wiping the blood from her face. The woman stood back up and dusted her tight jeans off, glaring at Shanaa with those fierce golden eyes. "Why aren't you dead?" She asked, licking her lips. "Because I'm not a weakling child." The group had finally arrived and Vejita growled at the sight of his granddaughter. "Who did this? Which one of you FUCKS touched her?" He yelled. The woman giggled and stepped forward, looking up into the prince's face. "I did." She answered, smiling softly. Vejita's eyes widened. "You? You did that to her? Please lady. Step aside and stop protecting your little boyfriend." Nobody expected the blow that came next. Vejita's head twisted to the side and he flew in the same direction. "Pesky mortal." The woman flipped her hair back over her shoulder and smirked. Shanaa screamed a little and ran over to Vejita's fallen body. "Granpa?" She whimpered, touching his forehead. Vejita grunted and stood up, popping his neck. "Stupid bitch." He growled, staring down at the android. "Awww, did I hurt you, Vejita?" She smiled at him and winked. "I'm happy that you aren't as weak as you look." Her lips parted in a slightly insane grin. Vejita just snarled at her and cracked his knuckles. "Who are you?" Serena asked, suddenly finding her voice. "Me? I have no real name, just call me #25." The red head raised an eyebrow and winked. "I know who all of you are. Goku... Goten... Vejita... Serena... Shanaa... Angel... Trunks... Harmony... Ryoma and the twins, Keko and Reoko." Serena's eyes widened. How the Hell did this woman know exactly who they were? Ryoma started to move towards Shanaa and was stopped by #25. "I didn't get my kiss." She purred with a small smile. Ryoma tried to move away, but she grabbed his arm and pulled him close. "I want my kiss, Ryoma." She growled. Shanaa stood snarling next to Vejita, as if daring #25 to even try to put her mouth on Ryoma. The android reached up and placed her hand on the back of his head, forcing him to lean closer to those red lips. The second Shanaa saw the small space between them close, she gave a loud, shrill scream and yanked #25 off of Ryoma. "I told you to stay away, you WHORE!" She yelled, pulling the woman back by her hair. "Shanaa! Look out!" Harmony shouted. Shanaa turned around a little too late and found herself flat on the ground, both #24 and #25 standing over her. Shanaa began to scoot back on her hands, feet and butt, a panicky look coming into her eyes.

#24 reached down and grabbed her by the front of her shirt, pulling her off of the ground. "How dare you pull her hair..." He hissed, flinging her to the side. Goku caught her before she hit the building she had been heading towards and set her on her feet. Again, Ryoma tried to cross the space between him and Shanaa and was stopped by #24. "Is my sister not good enough for you?" He asked, a slight mechanical noise raising in his voice. "No. She's not. Besides, I HAVE a mate. I don't want some fuckin' mechanical bimbo." Ryoma growled. #24 was a lot shorter than he was and was looking a little frightened. He started to grab for Ryoma's shirt and was rewarded with the male grabbing his arm and twisting, much like Serena had with #23. He smirked as if to say 'that doesn't hurt, dumbass' and pulled away, his arm staying in Ryoma's grasp while a few wires trailed out and snapped.

Shanaa stared wide eyed. "That dummy just took his own friggin arm off!" She cried, her body trembling slightly with fear. "It means he can't feel pain. Good thing too." Her father smiled and flew forward, aiming to kick the android into the building behind it. #25 stepped in front of her injured brother and grabbed Trunks' leg, punching him hard in the groin. Trunks' face lost nearly all of it's color as he gave a soft whimper and went limp. "TRUNKS!" Serena shouted, rushing forward to pluck him off of the ground. He panted in her arms, coughing slightly. "You bitch..." Shanaa hissed again, coming up behind the female android. Her foot met the back of the red head's head and made her fly into the ground. "Don't TOUCH my fuckin' father!" She fired up a large ball of kii and shot it at the fallen android. When the dust cleared, #25 sat smiling, a bit of dust on her slightly torn clothes. Her hair was ruffled and sticking up in several places, but she just sat there and laughed. "Foolish little girl." She purred, standing up. Her red tank top was torn on one side and there was a small hole in her jeans. "You think that hurt? Honestly, do you?" She started to walk towards Shanaa, eyes narrowed slightly.

Shanaa started to breathe a little harder, not sure what she should do. She didn't answer the question either, just stared at the woman in front of her. "Tell me if this hurts..." #25 swung her foot out, trying to catch Shanaa off guard. Shanaa just shot into the air, hair whipping behind her as she tried to get away. #25 followed closely and stopped in front of Shanaa. The lavender haired teen gave a soft cry and stopped, looking around to find a way out. #25 came closer until her nose was nearly pressed against Shanaa's. "What are you afraid of, Shanaa?" She asked. "Not... you." She answered, throwing a kii blast at the woman's face. #25 grabbed her before she had the chance to run and then took hold of her long hair, pulling her head back until she could see the veins pulsing under Shanaa's skin. "Bullshit, little girl. I know you're afraid." She hissed. "Let me go..." Shanaa whined, tears forming in her eyes as a few strands of hair began to rip from her head. "No." #25 answered, pulling harder. Shanaa cried out and closed her eyes, the tears slipping down her cheeks. "Please! Let go!" She whined, her hands flying to the android's. "Oh, look, she's begging for mercy." #25 laughed and tossed Shanaa into the ground by her hair. She landed hard, a huge crater forming around her body. She lay crying, holding her head. GOD she wished that this was just a dream. A dream she could wake up from and find herself all right.

"Shanaa-chan... SHANAA-CHAN!" Her mother's frantic screaming kept her from blacking out as #25 landed and began to kick her around. "STOP IT!" The entire group turned around at the sound of the new voice. Zepher stood in mid-air, hands on hips, a very pissed look in his dark eyes. "I didn't tell you to KILL them, #25!" He roared. Serena's face went white. "N-NANI?" She cried, looking up at her ex in disbelief. "Yes, Serena. I made them. I sent them, but I DIDN'T tell them to kill you." He hissed, touching down in front of her. "Why?" Serena asked, punctuating the question with a punch to his chest. "Because. You told me a few months ago that you wanted a challenge. You wanted to face a foe like the ones you had faced when you were a kid. I was just giving you what you wanted." He smiled at her and shrugged. "But I guess I went a little overboard. I never meant for #25 to get out of hand like this." He turned to the red headed android and shook his head. "You've been bad." He growled. He then raised his hand and let out a full forced kii blast, one that zipped past her and struck #24, shattering him into a billion pieces, just like his brother. "You fuck!" #25 screamed, running towards Zepher. He smiled again and grabbed her hand, pulling her close. "You said yourself that you wanted it to be just me and you, #25." "I do... master Zepher, but... I thought you LIKED #24. He liked you..." #25 whined, looking up. Shanaa was now resting in Ryoma's arms, watching through a barely cracked eye as the androids clung together. It looked as though the female would have cried if she had been able to. Instead, she just leaned up and kissed Zeph softly.

Serena was still confused. "I don't understand Zeph, I don't understand WHY you created something so foul, and then LIED to me about it!" She screamed. Zepher broke away from #25 and turned to face her. "I did it because you pretty much asked me to. You said you wanted a challenge. I gave you one. Are you telling me that what I did for you was a mistake?" Serena's face turned purple. "What you did for me almost got my mate AND my daughter killed. TWICE! I NEVER want your help again, Zeph. Never." She growled, turning around to motion the others to follow her. "What about my fight?" #25 shouted, looking a little miffed. "Fuck you." Serena hissed, taking to the sky.

Shanaa winced a little as Bulma dabbed a bit of the antibacterial stuff on her wounds. She had suffered several broken ribs and had fractured part of her arm, but it was nothing that a senzu bean couldn't cure when Bulma was done. Serena was up in her bedroom, locked away from the rest of the house. Shanaa couldn't blame her. Part of her wanted to go find Zepher and punch him hard in the face and the other part wanted to shut herself in her room like her mother. Ryoma wasn't all too happy either. Even though Serena wasn't his mother, he still felt overprotective of her. Hell, how could he not after all she had done for him? She had taken him in as one of her own and even when she found he wasn't her child, she still allowed him to live under her roof. "Alright kiddo. You're done. Here you go." Bulma slipped a senzu bean into Shanaa's mouth and watched the teenager jump off the table, walking angrily out to the living room. "I can't believe that bastard." She growled to herself as she flopped back into the place she had been just a few hours earlier. "I wish he had balls just so I could rip them off and watch him bleed." "OW! Don't say things like that!" Goku cried, putting his hands between his legs. He had caught Shanaa in the middle of her little 'release' session. "Shut up Kakarrotto." She narrowed her eyes and then turned away, glaring at the wall. "Shanaa?" The lavender haired princess looked behind her at Ryoma. He looked a little concerned for her and motioned for her to come around the couch. She slowly stood and followed his command. Her arms went around him tight, her face pressed hard against his chest. "I hate him for this! Why did he have to do that to Mom?" She cried. Ryoma shook his head. He didn't know. "I think he just wanted to help, y'know? Like a child who gets in the way and only wants to help get the job done faster so he and his father can go outside and play." Shanaa nodded, but didn't look up. Ryoma ran his hand smoothly over her back, soothing her a little. "Try not to think about it, Shanaa darling. I don't want you worrying about this all night, okay?" He smiled down at her and kissed her forehead. Shanaa gave another nod and pulled back, walking away from him to go into the kitchen where Vejita sat muttering to himself. She sort of ignored him and went to the fridge, pulling out a pint of Ben and Jerry's Phish food from the freezer section.

She sat down next to him and started to scarf it down. "Hey there Hime-chan." Shanaa jumped when he spoke to her. "Hi Granpa." She murmured, looking as though she had just swallowed a bite that was too big. She rubbed her forehead to rid herself of the slight brain freeze and then smiled. "You want some?" Vejita shook his head and waved a hand at her. "You seen your mother? Has she come out of her room yet?" He asked. Shanaa shook her head and continued to eat. "Damn it. She'll be up there all night if I know her habits. She wont even come down for food if she's in a state like this." He sighed and set his head on his arms, rolling his eyes. "If I ever see that damn android boy again I'll tear him apart limb from limb and then I'll rip out the wires connected to that mechanical brain of his." Shanaa raised an eyebrow and then nodded.

"I know how you feel Granpa." She said softly. She took another bite of her ice cream when she heard the kitchen door open. Serena came in and sat down, sighing a little. Vejita stared in amazement. " We weren't expecting you to come out for a while... you alright?" He asked. Serena nodded and waved at the ice cream. "There anymore of that left?" She asked. Shanaa smiled and nodded, getting up to get her mother a pint of the Cherry Garcia that was still in the freezer. Serena didn't care much for Phish food. She handed it over, along with a spoon and watched her mother sigh again.

"I talked to Zeph. He apologized for putting us through that and wants us to know #25's memory has been tampered with so she wont remember the fight." She spoke slowly as she spooned the ice cream into her mouth.

Shanaa nodded at her mother's words and threw the empty carton away, heading back into the living room. Ryoma sat on the couch, head tilted back as he snored softly. She smiled at this and settled herself into his lap, careful not to wake him. She snuggled her head under his chin and closed her eyes, falling asleep a few minutes after.

Short?

Well, sorry. I had to get this out of the way and I couldn't think of any other way to do it.

Anyway, it's six in the morning and I need more coffee.
