“Resurrection of a Tyrant”

"Okay, everyone, clean up!" Zayde ordered the other employees, who did nothing else but obey his command.
As they straightened up in the museum, Marron did everything she could to avoid Zayde's eye contact, thinking he wouldn't care the least if he knew she was trying to ignore him.
Zayde, however, was stealing glances over at the pretty blonde. He wondered to himself if he should apologize for being harsh earlier, but then that would show signs of loosening up. He knew very well he had no time for any type of relationships, so long as the canister and staff constantly needed a watchful eye...
It was that moment when he looked over at the pit to the staff and canister... only to see the canister wasn't there! "What the?!" He frantically leaped over the velvet rope and searched the pit, only to find nothing. The canister was gone!!
"MARRON!" Zayde jumped up, and surprised her as he grabbed her shoulders, "Where's the canister?? Did you move it??"
"Uh... uh, no, I never touched it."
Zayde seethed and glared around himself. "Did ANYONE touch the golden canister??"
The employees shook their heads, a few muttering, "What would I want with that piece of junk."
"I don't believe it," Zayde growled, "One of those little brats had the gall to steal it!!! When I get my hands on those little shits, I'm gonna--"
"I TOLD you that you needed better security," Marron groaned.
"Shut up and get your car!" Zayde shouted, "We're going on a little field trip ourselves to that school!"

Back at Satan Elementary, while Miss Nozawa was ushering her class inside the building to gather their things, the three boys managed to sneak away, and take cover behind the school, where they immediately took out the canister to get a closer look at their stolen good.
"Oooooh, sparkly!" Uke drooled.
Chaz frowned. "THIS is the big bad can?" he grumbled, "What that evil lord is supposed to be locked in? What's the big deal about a yellow tin cup?"
"You really think someone's trapped in there?"
Chaz shook it around violently. "No way, it's too small!" he groaned, "Sides, I don't hear anyone bouncing around..."
"Hey maybe we should open 'im up!" cried Uke, "Maybe he'll grant us 3 wishes!"
"It's a can, not a lamp, dimwad!"
"Guuyys!!" Kumo whined, "I don't like this idea! We should just turn it in while everyone still thinks we don't have it!"
Chaz narrowed his eyes, "C'mon, Kumo, ya big baby! Don't be such a dork!"
Kumo scowled and pouted. "I am not a dork! I'm just tired of getting into trouble because of you!"
"Don't you wanna be cool??"
"Not like this!" Kumo turned and walked off, "This time, you guys are on your own!!"
Uke stood up, "Hey, where ya goin'?"
"Ah, forget 'im," Chaz pulled him back down and stared at the canister, "C'mon, open it up! Let's see what's inside!"
Uke grabbed the lid and tried pulling it up to no avail. "Urrgh!! It.... won't..... budge!"
"Here, lemme!" Chaz grabbed part of the lid and helped to pry it open. "C'moooon... just a little... more...!!!"
A slight whistle could be heard from the seal of the lid, indicating the canister nearly opened, until finally...
*POP*
The two fell back as the lid flew off and the canister dropped to the ground.
Kumo had suddenly frozen in his tracks. At that precise moment, he had somehow felt an evil, cold presence nearby. He turned around, and saw a dark mist arising from the canister, shooting into the air, and dropping straight down towards an unexpecting Chaz. "LOOK OUT!!!" he cried, as he charged forward and jumped at the kid, pushing him out of the way before the dark mist could engulf him...
But it instead engulfed the quarter-saiyan boy. Kumo cringed as the cold, dark energy penetrated his body, invaded his mind, and snuffed the consciousness out of him...
Chaz and Uke blinked as they watched Kumo drop to the floor. "Heyy!" Chaz shouted, "What's your deal?? What'd ya do that for, Kumo??"
Kumo only laid there, twitching slightly. "Hey man..." Uke called over, "You okay..?"
The boy slowly climbed to his knees and rubbed his head. "What's going on...?" he then looked at his surroundings, shocked, "I... I'm released!" He leaped to his feet, "I'M FREE!!!" He glanced down at himself, only to be taken back. "What?? What is this??" he held up his hands, "Where is my body?? This is... a CHILD'S body!" He looked down at himself once more, "What is the meaning of this??"
The other two boys just stared at him. "Yo dude," Uke called, "What's wrong with you?"
"Yeah man!" Chaz said, "Stop goofin' off!"
Kumo glared over at the two. "So... you children are responsible for my freedom," he droned, "I suppose I should thank you by sparing your lives."
The boys started to cackle. "HAH! You think yer so funny, huh Kumo??" Chaz laughed.
"Yeah man, totally lame!" retorted Uke.
Kumo scowled. "You obviously have not heard of the great Lord Enerjak, have you boys?"
"You mean that dumb legend from that stupid field trip??" Chaz sneered, "C'mon, Kumo! You ain't funny one bit!"
Kumo's scowl turned to a fierce snarl. "Stupid, am I??" he growled as he pulled back his arm, "Insolent brat!! You'll regret that remark! HA!!" He thrust his palm forward with such force, it created a wind effect, which knocked both Chaz and Uke into the side of the building head on, and crumpled into limp heaps on the ground.
The boy looked in amazement, and stared down at his palm. "What... IS this body?" he murmured to himself, "It clearly is that of a child... yet it has so much power!" He looked to the sky and gave an evil grin, "This vessel shall do quite nicely until I regain my real body."
He looked over and spotted the golden canister on the ground near by. "I wouldn't want anybody else to try and trap me in that confounded jar once again," he said as he picked it up, turned tail, and walked off school grounds.

Goten drummed his fingers along his arms as he leaned against his car, patiently waiting for his son to come out of class, occasionally looking down at his watch. Kumo was running a bit late. What was the hold up?
"All right, up against the bus, let's go! Keep those arms up!"
Goten heard a voice from the side of the school where the buses normally parked. Curious, he walked over and glanced around the side to see his old friend Marron, along with a very tall man with spiky hair, who was patting down every child as they stood up like criminals against a small bus. "Heyy!" a girl shouted as Zayde went through her pants pockets, "Don't I have privacy rights??"
"Really!" Kumo's teacher, Miss Nozawa shrieked, "This is most unnecessary! None of my children took anything from the museum, I assure you! I teach good kids!"
"Hey Marron!" Goten called while approaching the blonde, who was searching through another girl's backpack, "What's going on here?"
"Hey Goten," Marron quickly responded as she took a boy's backpack and starting digging through it, "Something went missing back at the Arnax Museum. Zayde thinks that one of these kids might have stolen it."
"Someone from Kumo's class?" Goten asked as he glanced around his son's classmates, "That explains why he's late..." However, he couldn't find the brown-haired boy. "Hey wait, where IS he? I don't see him!"
Miss Nozawa glanced around the children herself. "I didn't see he was missing! Come to think of it, so are Chaz and Uke! Now where did those boys get off to??"
Zayde glanced up at her, suddenly remembering back. Those three boys who were missing... they were the closest to the canister, and acting rather suspicious at that! Realization suddenly struck him. "I should have known!!" he shouted, tossing aside a child he was patting down, "It was those three brats who took it!!"
"Goten, do you have any idea where Kumo is?" Marron asked, "Can't you feel him?"
Goten concentrated hard. "He's nearby, I can definitely feel him..." he glanced up, "He's actually walking off somewhere!" He ran off, "Stay here, I'll be right back!"
"I suppose I should search the other way," Miss Nozawa sighed as she walked the opposite direction, around the building.
Marron and Zayde turned to the other children, about to hand back their backpacks and apologize, when they heard a piercing scream from behind the school. The two jumped up and raced around the school building to find the frenzied teacher on her knees, screaming at the sight of two boys slumped against the school building, blood trickling from her heads. Marron went to calm down Miss Nozawa while Zayde knelt to the boys, checking their pulses and feelings their necks. "Don't worry, they're still alive," he said, "But you may want to call an ambulance."
As the two women got up and made their way to the inside of the school, Zayde quickly searched around the boys, and around the area. The golden canister was nowhere in sight. The 3rd boy was missing as well, and he could only think of one person who could do this attack.
A cold sensation tingled down his spine.
He was free. Zayde could feel it....

Kumo casually crossed into the busy traffic without as much looking both ways. Cars screeched to a halt, just nearly missing the boy. "Hey kid!! Watch where ya goin'!" a driver shouted.
"Insolent fools!" Kumo seethed, "Watch who you insult, if you wish to live!"
"MOVE IT KID!!!!" a driver blared his horn as he continued to speed on, "This ain't a crosswalk! I ain't braking for brats!!!"
Kumo merely glanced over at the oncoming vehicle. Once it approached, the boy merely raised his hand up and slapped the car onto the sidewalk behind him. The driver barely threw himself out of the car before it could explode in a fiery blaze.
"All right, that's far enough, buster!"
Kumo turned to face a man, with black hair that pointed in a direction, making it look as if he slept on it wrong. He looked rather displeased with the actions the boy just committed. "I don't know what this is all about, but you're in enough trouble as it is! Better quit while you're still ahead."
Kumo scowled, "Who are you to talk to me like this?"
"Your father, that's who!" Goten glanced down, noticing a golden canister in his son's hand, "Is that what the others are looking for?" He held his hand out, "Give it to me this instant, and I promise not to ground you until you're thirty!"
The boy only pulled it back, holding it close to his chest, "Why?? So that you may trap my soul in it again? Do you take me for a fool??"
"I mean it, Kumo! Playtime's over!!" Goten jumped forward, hoping to snatch it away, but Kumo leapt backwards, landing a yard away.
"Just you try it!"
Goten jumped at him again, only to have the boy jump another direction while taunting him. He chased him down the road, shouting at his son to obey, but Kumo merely ignored him.
"Kumo, I've had enough!!" Goten shouted, "Now you are giving me that canister back THIS INSTANT!" He once again jumped towards the boy.
"STAY BACK!" Kumo shouted, thrusting him palm forward, sending a motion of wind towards the man like he did with the boys. This time was different, however... the wind had no effect. This guy blew through it like nothing! Shocked, Kumo was caught off guard, and Goten finally managed to grab his arms and hold him close.
"Okay, no more games, kiddo," Goten sneered, "It's time you paid for your crimes!" Kumo struggled to get free, but Goten held a firm hold. "I don't know what's gotten into you, but apparently you have no idea just how much trouble you've gotten yourself into! If you know what's best, you'll do exactly what I say--"
*BAM!!*
The sly Kumo had kicked Goten hard in the chin. The shock of the blow forced him to let go, giving the quarter-saiyan the chance to escape. He floated backwards... and looked to the ground, noticing for the first time that he was floating. "Incredible!" he cried, "This child even knows how to fly! Do I even need my old body back?" He looked over to see Goten glaring over, teeth seething. Now he was really mad! He'll mesmerize over this later. Now he had to escape this man in order to find his way towards Arnax.
He shot forward, heading towards the horizon. "KUMO, GET BACK HERE!" he heard the man shout from behind as he gave chase.
Blast, he could never make it back to the old kingdom with his fool on his tail. He was really starting to become irksome! Gathering energy into his hand, he flipped around and hurled an enormous ki ball at Goten.
"What are you doing??" Goten froze and caught the ki ball, flinging it up into the sky. As he looked back down to face his son, the next thing he knew, there was a small yet powerful fist smashed in his face.
Kumo grinned as Goten fell back, grabbing his face. Deciding to use this powerful body to his full advantage, he jumped up, and kicked the man hard in his head before he knew what hit him, sending him crashing into the pavement below. He crashed full force into the street, creating a large crater, the force, knocking cars to their sides.
Goten rubbed his head, which throbbed imensely. What was Kumo doing? His son would never attack him like this... nor would he go to so much trouble to keep a stolen good...
This wasn't his son...
He climbed out of the crater just as the boy landed near him. "Had enough?"
Goten glared up at the body of his son and grimaced. "Who are you...? And where's Kumo?!"
The boy smirked. "The one you call 'Kumo' is no longer in tact. I am in charge now... Lord Enerjak of Arnax."
"Arnax?" Goten blinked, "But that's just an old legend!"
"Oh no, boy," sneered Kumo, "It is quite real. I've spent centuraries in this golden canister, my plans ruined by the Prince... but fate has given me a second chance! Once I regain my body and steal back the Arnaxian Staff, I shall reign supreme over the entire world!"
"That's nice," Goten growled, "Except it ain't gonna happen..."
He shot forward and rammed into Kumo, knocking him into the closest building, and held him there with one arm. People who had scrambled away were quickly returning.
"Stop it!" a woman cried, "What are you doing to that child??"
"He's no child!" the driver of the exploded car shouted, "That little monster ruined my wheels!"
Kumo struggled, but couldn't wriggle out of the boy's father's grip. This time, he couldn't even reach his chin with his foot. "How... is this.. possible?!" he cried, "This child's body..."
"Isn't stronger than mine, unfortunetely," Goten smirked, as he grabbed the canister and yanked it out of Kumo's hand, "I'll be taking that."
Kumo snarled, "You will NOT imprison me in that canister again! I won't allow it!!"
"Sorry, but we just can't let you take over the world. Plus I would like my son back."
"Fool..." Kumo went into a deep state of concentration, a black aura engulfing him.
Goten raised an eyebrow, slightly worried. "What are you doing...?"
"I may not have my body...." Kumo suddenly glanced up, his eyes suddenly all white, and a wicked smile across his face as the black aura grew bigger and surrounded him whole, "But I still have my soul!!!"
The black aura suddenly engulfed Goten, covering every inch and electrifying him. He dropped Kumo and fell to his knees, grabbing himself as he screamed in dire pain. The boy smirked once more, as he mentally controlled the dark energy. "Imagine the worst pain you have ever felt... only a thousand times worse. I am so powerful, I can take you on with only my mind."
"You.... you're a... coward... is more like it!" Goten grunted as he struggled to deal with the immense pain shooting through him, "Why not... fight me... yourself...?"
"You said it yourself," Kumo snived, "You're stronger than the boy. I can't have you overpower me, that would be a waste of my second chance. There are times when we all must take desperate measures...."
The black aura finally faded, and Goten fell to the ground, breathing heavily, struggling to keep his eyes open. "Give me... back... my son..." he muttered before he finally fell unconcious.
The boy smiled wickedly, kicking Goten slightly in the chest, "Just wait until I get my real body back... THEN you'll have a fight..." He then floated in the air to face all the shocked pedestrians around him. "Know this!" he shouted, "Lord Enerjak will rule over you all! Accept my reign, and I shall be a fair ruler... but deny me, and I shall show no mercy!!!"
And with that, he took off into the sky in search of his ruined kingdom.
