Chapter 13: Reunion

 

Chichi screamed out in pain. `I'm going to die by the hands of the person I love.' Chichi thought to herself, she started to cry; she briefly looked into Goku's eyes and smiled.

“I love you Goku.” She said before she slipped away her body going limp in his arms.

“Destructo Disc!” A wheel of energy came from behind Goku and cut through the collar. Krillen then quickly manipulated the spinning wheel to veer off into and explode into the nearby scenery, before it managed to cut off Goku's head; the collar simply fell to the ground.

Goku blinked trying to remember where and what was going on. He then looked down into the still form of Chichi in his arms. Everyone ran up to the couple, they had smiles on their faces until they saw Chichi.

“Chichi wake up honey, look it's me Goku. I'm back to normal.” He shook her slightly but nothing happened.

“Damn it! I was too late!” Krillen said. Goku gently laid Chichi on the ground and rested her head in his lap.

“Chichi? Get up everything's all right now.” Silent tears fell from his eyes as he looked at her.

“I can't lose you, you're the reason I came back, so we could spend the rest of our lives together. Come back to me.” He hugged her close to his body. Then he felt her stir in his arms.

“Goku?” Chichi whispered.

“Shhh it's alright I'm here.” Goku said, everyone rejoiced.

“I feel so weak Goku.” Goku held her hand.

“Hang on a minute Chichi.” He lifted her slightly and concentrated his energy to flow in to her body. Chichi winced at the pain that she could now feel in her body, she slowly felt strength return, she sat up and leant into Goku's warm, soft body. He wrapped his arms around her.

“Who did this to you?” Goku asked.

“You mean you don't remember Goku?” Chichi asked shockingly looking up in to his face.

“Remember what?” Goku asked innocently lifting Chichi into his arms.

“Yamcha put a collar on you and you were under his control! He ordered you to destroy me.” She said sadly. Goku put Chichi onto the ground and stared down into his hands. He threw his hands down not wanting to look at them, just thinking about the destruction he had caused with them.

“I can't believe I was the one causing the destruction, not saving.” He looked into Chichi's eyes. “Did I hurt you?”

“Yes you were the one who just hurt me.” Goku couldn't look at her knowing that he had hurt the person who meant more to him than life itself. Goku knelt down in front of Chichi and grabbed her around the waist.

“I'm so sorry Chichi, I'll make it up to you I promise!”

“It's not your fault, you weren't yourself.” She said reassuringly.

“But I couldn't protect you.” He said hiding her face from her. Chichi knelt down to Goku's level and cupped his face making him look at her.

“None of it matters now, your back to normal.” She then remembered that he was still ssj5. “Well nearly back to normal.” She smiled to him. Goku concentrated his energy and reverted back to his normal self. Chichi stroked his black hair and laughed. Goku leant in to kiss her on the mouth. She welcomed him and opened her to let Goku kiss her fully. Then Chichi remembered that her sons were probably watching her, she pulled back and blushed when she saw Gohans and Goten's faces. Both of them were pulling weird faces because they couldn't believe their parents still did stuff like that. Trunks, Vegeta and Krillen laughed.

“Wait where's Yamcha now!” Goku said.
