Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dragonball Prism ❯ Five ( Chapter 6 )
Saga 1 - Chapter 5
"Well isn't this just perfect?" Saichen spat out a few more insults aimed at the airline as she gathered her luggage from the carousel. The loudspeaker boomed a few announcements and she cringed a little. "48 hour layover... because there's a typhoon in Tokyo. Insane. This is just plain insane." She turned to the smiling, amused face of her father. "What're you so happy about?"
"I get to spend some quality time with my daughter."
"Right. So, what city are we in now?"
Burrok took a deep breath and looked around nonchalantly, "West City. It's busy because it's Boudokai week."
"Boudokai week? Great! I can get a bit of work done while I'm here."
Burrok's face fell, "Don't you want to hang out with me?"
She blinked as she shouldered the last of her luggage. "No, dad, it's not that, I just want things to start off on the right foot once I get to Tokyo. Sure, we can hang out while we're here."
He smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead, leading the way out of the airport and to their waiting hotel room. They didn't notice the whispers about how a girl as young as she was, and how thin as she was, could carry 5 bags of luggage, full to the top, unassisted.

"Goten!" The head of the 20-year-old martial artist popped up and looked around at the source of his name. He found nothing but sensed something behind him. He turned quickly, grabbing at air and catching the arm of a slightly taller man. The man grinned down at him through his glasses and a child nearby giggled.
"Gohan!" The brothers hugged tightly before Gohan laughed at Pan tugging on Goten's leg. "Oh, Pan-chan…" Goten picked up his 7-year-old niece as she giggled. "What's gotten into you? You're so big!"
"Yeah, she just wanted to see you fight, bro."
"Go Uncle Goten!" She shouted with her fists in the air, "When I'm big enough, I'm gonna fight you and I'm gonna take your title, uncle!"
Goten laughed. "Aren't you fighting in the junior tournament today?"
"Yep! Uncle Vegeta wants Bra-chan to fight, but she said she didn't want to ruin her hair. I don't care about my hair, Uncle Goten. It's very short so it doesn't get messy when I fight! Uncle Goten? Are you listening to me? Bra-chan never listens…" Goten was staring off into the crowd with a serious look on his face.
"Goten, you okay, buddy?"
"Yeah. I think I just saw Vegeta."
"He's allowed here, you know. Just cause he's not fighting doesn't mean he's not allowed to watch."
"No… he was different. Taller. Shorter hair."
"Well we haven't seen him in a few months. He could've cut his hair."
"But… grow taller? Doubt it." He handed off the still rambling little girl to the confused Gohan and went off in search of him.

"Come on, daddy, why aren't you wearing a hat or something? People know your hair."
"Oh chill, Sai. I enjoy the attention. Besides, this is West City during Boudokai week, famous people are everywhere. Look, there's Hercule." He pointed towards the overly excited, loudmouthed mascot of the city who seemed to be posing in front of a camera, but the camera was focused on the mayor, standing next to him. "What a goof."
"Yeah, almost as thick as some of the muscles around here." Burrok laughed and she smiled. She brought her camera up to her eye and took a few quick shots of Hercule and the Mayor.
Burrok sighed and stopped to wait for her to finish snapping pictures of various famous people in the crowd and he felt a tap on his shoulder, turning, he came eye-to-eye with a young man with shoulder-length black hair and deep onyx eyes. "Uhm… yes?"
"Oh, excuse me… you looked like someone I know. May I ask your name?" He smiled goofily and scratched the back of his head.
"My name's Burrok. Burrok Shoran. You?"
"Oh, Goten Son, sorry." He offered him his hand and Burrok shook it. "Wow, nice grip… you fighting this week?"
Burrok laughed and shook his head, "No, no fighting for me… I'm afraid I'm a little too out of practice."
"Daddy!" Saichen came running up behind him and put her hand around his arm, "daddy! I just found Goku Son! He wants to meet you! Oh… Hello there… oh my gosh… You're Goten! You're this year's favorite!"
Goten laughed and nodded. "Yeah, that's me. What, you wanna try a round with me?"
"Mr. Son, you wouldn't last 5 minutes with me." She smiled confidently and put her hands on her waist, her camera around her neck swung suddenly and the flash went off. Goten smiled and folded his arms. She looked down at it.
"Just think of me when you're developing that roll." He waved and walked off into the crowd. She just blinked.
"Um, Sai? You were saying about Goku Son?"
She looked over at him with a puzzled look, then she jumped "Oh yeah! Come on!" She grabbed his hand and dragged him off in the opposite direction.
