Dragon Ball Z : The survivors

Chapter one: Emergents and Discoveries

Jake was walking through the halls of his school, when he felt an onset of the powers that had plagued him since the start of high school. He was a young man who found a love for fighting, not street fighting, but traditional martial arts. He excelled at every type of martial arts he tried. After each fight, Jake felt stronger wiser, especially after studying each opponent's fighting styles. Lately, his power had taken to physically manifesting as a shimmering white aura. With this aura came unexplainable abilities, such as his sudden increase in power and strength, and a weird ability to create light. An unexplained explosion followed his first experimentation with light. Jake tried to juggle it and dropped it. He was surprised it did not kill him.

When he felt the power start to rise, he immediately realized that he would not be able to hold it back. It was more power than he had ever felt before and it freaked him out. Guessing what might happen, he ran and pulled a fire alarm, creating a fire from light to get people moving faster. Within minutes his school was clear, and he was on the only one left. Thinking it was safe, he released some of his energy, which he had been restraining, and let it surround him. That's when everything went wrong. His powers got away from him and they started to build rapidly. He did not know where the power was coming from, but never the less it was his, he could tell. Jake soon figured that his power was beyond his control and released it all, hoping no one had entered and everyone was far enough away. The resulting explosion of power being released completely destroyed the school and left him face down in a crater 20 ft deep. The immense power caused him to black out.

Elsewhere, many heads turned in the general direction of Jake's school. They noted with interest and apprehension the large power level that arose from the east. "My god, what power…it is almost unheard of, for an emergent to have such potential…." The speaker's eyes widen as he reads the full measure of the power. "The power rivals that of our own…this emergent may be a danger to us if we don't reach him first." Another voice speaks up, sounding younger, not by much, than the first. "I'll take care of it." `That power level is a danger regardless…if someone with the potential for that much power turns against us…there'll be no stopping them. I must put an end to this threat before it starts.' A glimpse of a young man with blue hair is seen before he disappears. "He should be able to defeat any the enemy may send. If he needs help, send it. In the meantime, let us prepare for the new emergent's arrival," Said a third, female voice. A murmur followed this statement, all in agreement.
