Summary: This is a sad One-Shot story that I dreamt a long time ago and cannot seem to forget it. Vegeta dies at the hands of Mirai Trunks while defending Bulma of some evil creature.

 

 

Dreams Cannot Cheat

 

 

I was in Kami's Lookout. `What's going on?' I thought. Then I saw the whole scene.

 

Vegeta looked sharply at some evil creature that was right behind Bulma, and shot a ki blast to the direction of the creature and Vegeta laughed evilly. Unfortunately, Future Trunks thought that Vegeta was going to kill Bulma. So Trunks scowled deeply and made a reflecting attack towards Vegeta. Trunks thought that Vegeta might not use that much energy if he was going to kill Bulma, so it did not mind him that Vegeta injure himself a bit. But then, shocked expression took over Trunks' face, as he saw that the reflecting attack towards Vegeta by his own energy struck his father and watched his father that collapsed on the floor, coughing blood heavily. The blast was hit directly into Vegeta's stomach.

 

Trunks' face turned blank as he saw that his own father was dying because of himself. “Nooo! FATHEEEERRR!!!” Trunks yelled at the top of his lungs as he flew right by his father's side.

 

Vegeta tried to understand why… why had his own son tried to kill him. “Tr…unks… why…?” He tried to hold his bloody breath together, but failed as luck was not by his side and blood sprayed all over his area, making Trunks to witness as his blood splashed horribly on his shirt.

 

“F…Father, I thought you wanted to kill mom…!” Trunks pleaded and soon regretted that he managed to wound his father badly.

 

“Y…You fool, I wanted to protect her… Look behind her and you'll see…” Vegeta looked angered and blood splashed out of his mouth once more as he moaned.

 

“No…NO. FATHEEEEEEER!” Trunks almost fainted as he saw his own father, killed by the hands of his own son. To make matters worse, it was out of protection for Trunks' mother, not destruction. Trunks cried. “F…Father… No… it should've been me, not you…”

 

Then Kami's lookout turned into lava and Vegeta's body sunk deep into it.

 

Trunks was still sobbing and wondered what was happening. Then the evil creature came into sight and killed Trunks.

 

Then I woke up.
