Goku blinked several times, the glazed-over expression in his eyes giving way to consciousness.  "What did you say, Vegeta?"
"I said, why haven't you blocked any of my ki blasts?  I know it's raining, but that's hardly an excuse.  You don't need eyes to sense them."
Didn't it always happen this way?  Well, he'd give an honest answer, as always. Although, perhaps, this time the honest answer would unnerve Vegeta a bit more than usual.  "I was just...thinking."
"That's new," he remarked with a smirk that disappeared into confusion when Goku did not reply.
"It's this weird feeling," he moved his gaze skyward, so that each droplet of rain hit his face with a solid smack.  "Like, like every raindrop is a kiss."
Vegeta rolled his eyes.  "You are a sentimental moron," he stated bluntly.  "Are we going to keep fighting, or are you too distracted by the rain to continue?"
"No, we can keep going," Goku replied, blushing guiltily.  "Sorry, Vegeta."
The prince snorted and locked into a fighting stance, watching Goku quietly and waiting for him to make the first move.  The other Saiyajin's comment about the rain had drawn Vegeta's attention to it, and how he found half his mind pondering whether the drops really did feel like kisses.
Which was exactly why Goku managed to land a solid punch into his gut right off the bat.  "Geez Vegeta, you can't get mad at me for being distracted!" he teased.  "Better pay attention, because I'm going to fight you for real now!"
Vegeta frowned, snarling at Goku as he leapt up to deal a powerful kick to the other man's back, sending him to the ground with a series of rapidly fired ki blasts.  Not wasting a second, he dove down and scooped Goku from the ground with a swing of his fist, a punch to the younger Saiyajin's ribs.  He kneed Goku in the stomach and swung his foot to connect with the back of the man's shoulder, and watched silently as Goku's body ran through a solid rocky cliff.
...Like every raindrop is a kiss...
Goku came shooting back with gusto, a grin spreading across his face as he took his revenge on Vegeta, striking him on the back of the head with both hands laced together.  He drove his elbow into the prince's back and jerked his knee upward to send Vegeta back into the air.  The rain pressed his bangs onto his forehead, and Goku reached up to flick them out of his eyes, earning him a punch to the jaw from Vegeta.  The sun shot through the clouds, which were slowly, slowly dissipating, and Goku smiled despite his bleeding lip.  Sunny days were always nice.
"...Distractions," Vegeta muttered mockingly in the other Saiyajin's ear before kicking him to the ground.
Goku laughed, somehow finding humor in the situation.  He pulled himself up from the mud.  "The rain stopped," he explained.
Vegeta paused for a moment, not snapping at Goku for his statement of the obvious.  "Didn't you like the rain?"
"Yeah," he shrugged, grinning, "but the sun is nice, too."
The prince cocked an eyebrow thoughtfully, crossing his arms for a moment as thoughts churned through his head.  Shrugging, he spread his stance and balled his fists.  "Shall I assume that you're willing to continue?"
"Of course!" he leapt up, nodding eagerly.
And they jumped back into action, this time exchanging close blows.  Most were blocked or dodged, and the occasional hit was not enough to send either of them flying.  Vegeta leaned in with one of his punches, his shoulders angling slightly to evade Goku's fist.  A fleeting, gentle kiss landed on Goku's forehead.  The taller Saiyajin blinked, and then crumpled to the ground as Vegeta jabbed him in the gut.  As he clutched at his stomach, another kiss fell from the sky and onto his nose.
Goku lifted his eyebrows, waiting for Vegeta to speak.  A boot against his chest was the answer, and Goku gathered himself midair to keep himself from running into another rock face.  Lips sprinkled over his cheeks this time, as the prince caught him and held him in a lock.  When Vegeta pulled his head back, he sent Goku a questioning stare.  Goku blinked in return, tilting his head.
"What's wrong, Kakarrot?  Make it rain."
"I can't do that, Vegeta," he answered, his voice wrought with confusion.
"Idiot," the prince murmured, grazing over Goku's face and neck with tiny, tender kisses.
Goku's eyes lit up, as if he finally understood.  He powered up, sending Vegeta shooting away from him, and then chased after the prince and drove an elbow into his back.  Before Vegeta could pick himself up out of the muddy puddle he'd landed in, Goku leapt to him and pinned him down, lips pressing into the other Saiyajin's salty skin anywhere he could find it.  His mouth danced over Vegeta's ungloved knuckles, smoothed down the cords of his neck, dotted each curve and groove of his face.  "Downpour," Goku whispered against Vegeta's ear, donning it with kisses as well.  And as if called by the word, thunder cracked, and drops plummeted from the sky once more.
Vegeta moaned when Goku paused the light, sprinkling kisses to push one against his mouth, their tongues meeting after a moment.
"It's raining," Goku mumbled into the kiss, his tongue flitting over Vegeta's teeth.
The prince closed his eyes, taking Goku's tongue into his mouth and grasping the younger Saiyajin's hair.  "I think I've found a new loathing for umbrellas."
