Goten's Love

Goten had agreed to Vegeta's arrangement to fight for the right to take Bra as a mate. He sighed knowing that he was hopelessly outmatched by the full blooded Saiya-jin, but somehow he had to win. Just thinking of Bra made his heart hurt and his breath come in quick shot gasps. He was bonded to her already and the outcome would be the same no matter what happened today during the fight. He just wanted Vegeta's approval, but that wasn't coming unless Goten could defeat him.

"Are you ready boy?" A harsh voice asked.

Goten looked up at Vegeta and nodded getting into a fighting stance. Vegeta slid his feet apart and let a small smile cross his lips as he got ready to pound on Goten. Then it began in a blur of kicks and punches as Goten struggled to keep Vegeta on the defensive, knowing that this was only a warm up for Vegeta.

A large explosion erupted as the two warrior's fist collided. They both backed away taking survey of each other.

"Time to turn it up a notch boy; hope you're ready to fight a true saiya-jin."

Both of them quickly powered up to SSJ and launched at each other matching blow for blow. The trees were buffeted by the wind that the two combatants were making with there blows. Just as fast as the blows started they ended and Goten shot down and into the ground.

`Got to keep going' he said to himself, `I love you Bra and I won't lose you!'

Goten voice could be heard around the world as he let out all of his rage and love and his power ski rocket and pushed the limits of his body and surpassed them as he raced into the next level.

Vegeta smirked at the sudden power increase in his opponent and quickly upped his own power level to match Goten's current one. The kid had much potential, but this time of peace had made him to weak to pose a real sort of challenge to the siaya-jin prince. When he had found out that the brat had mated with his daughter it gave him the perfect excuse to push the boy to his current limits and also find out if he had what it took to be a prince himself.

The dust slowly settled revealing Goten in his new form. Sparks formed around him striking his slightly longer hair and his aura was larger. Goten himself wasn't even thinking right now. All that was in his head was to win.

In an explosion of power, Goten launched himself at Vegeta with all his power. Throwing in everything he had and more seemed useless as he scored very few hit on the older warrior, but was receiving them in great quantity himself.

Vegeta lashed out a Goten's head with a vicious kick sending the young warrior careening to the ground and landing with a loud explosion.

"Nani, where's that gaki's ki?"

A huge beam of light shot out of the cloud of dust and hit Vegeta dead in the chest sending the warrior blasting into the atmosphere with the energy.

Goten stood on the ground breathing heavily and smiled softly before passing out.

`That brat actually got me,' Vegeta thought with a smile as he gained control of himself and the boy's energy. He quickly pushed it away and shot down to the unconscious warrior. `Well it looks like he pushed himself a bit far, but he did well enough.'

I know a great deal of people don't go for the Bra/Goten story, but if you like this reply and I'll be sure to update
