Chapter 5
Melody grinned. Harmony was a disguise she used when she needed an evil-feeling ki. She could get the evil feeling without the costume but she thought she needed to look evil to pretend to be evil. She appeared just out of Freeza's office and was about to knock when Zarbon shoved past her and knocked instead. "Zarbon come on in. I need to discuss a issue with you." And the door was slammed in her face. 'How rude. Oh well I can't expect a bunch of space pirates to have manners I guess.' She tapped the door and Freeza said to Zarbon "Get that for me Zarbon." "Yes, Lord Freeza." He opened the door and looked around. "No one's here, My Lord." Now Melody was mad. Just because she was short didn't mean people could overlook her. "I'm down here, you idiotic Girly Man!" He finally looked down to see a hyperventilating Melody.
"Girly Man? Like that's the worst insult I've heard. Who are you Pipsqueak?" "I'm Harmony. I'm here to apply for a job." "As a solder?" "Naw. I'm here to baby-sit Prince Vegeta," she said sarcastically, "Of course I'm going to be a solder." "Can you fight?" "This would be suicide if I didn't." "Why do you want to work with Freeza?" "Think of the resume I could create 'Solder for Freeza' that would convince anyone to hire me. Plus the pay is good." "What race are you?" "I'm a Kaiyan." "A what?" "A Kaiyan." "Never heard of it." Melody stepped into Freeza's field of vision. He smiled at her presence. "Hello, I'm Freeza." (A/N Freeza in human years is in his late 20's) "Nice to meet you Freeza. I hear you have four forms." "Yes, actually I do." "Neat. I have five forms. Super, Ultra, Extreme, Limit, and Supreme. I rarely use them though." "I'd like to see these forms."
'Luckily I can make my ki not go higher and still change.' She powered to the Super Sayin of her form. Then to Ultra. That looked kind of like SSJ except her hair was silver and her eyes were red. Then to Extreme. Her hair turned electric blue and her eyes crackled with black electricity. Limit made her eyes glaze over and her hair turned electric white. Supreme had static-electric orange-red hair, vampire fangs, and here eyes turned to a glass green color. With each transformation her power level multiplied 1,000. Her original was 800,000 so her level was 800,000,000. But their scouters said 8,000,000. "Impressive. Is their anything else I should know about you." "Nothing besides the fact that I hate being called short. If anyone asks how tall I am just say, no se. Okay?" "No se? What does that mean?" "I don't know." "Than why would you want me to say it if you don't know what it means?" "I know what it means! It means, I don't know."
"By the way, try to get in a Team by the end of the week. I think groups defeat planets quicker." "Yes sir. I'm sure some team on this ship needs a new member." She ducked out and walked down a hallway. She felt people undressing her with their eyes. It was very unnerving. "Um. Does anyone want a new teammate?" a sea of hands went up. "Um, hold on a sec," she closed her eyes and picked, when she opened her eyes she saw her finger was pointed to Jeice. "I guess I'll try out for your team." She followed three pace's behind Jeice as he took her to the Ginyu Force. Captain Ginyu looked her over and said "We don't just take whoever comes along. You have to pass five tests. First you have to know how to pose and dance. You need to beat an Elite Solder in a one-on-one battle. You need a hobby, like watching soap opera's or playing poker or other games. You need a unique personality and/or power. And finally you have to know how to sing." "Sing?" "Yup."
"You want me to start now?" "Yes. Posing should come naturally for a Ginyu. State your name and strike a pose." "HARMONY!" and she did a pose stolen from Saiyaman. "Bravo! That was a GREAT pose! Now for a dance. Pick something I could dance to." 'Hmm, should I pick YMCA or The Tootsie-roll? Definitely Tootsie-roll.' After the dance Ginyu was liking this new recruit more and more. "Here's Nappa for you to beat." She beat him with a kick to the stomach and a chop to the neck. Nothing was permanently damaged. "My hobby is cooking and I like to play marbles." The Ginyu's nodded at that even though they had no idea what marbles was. Her power was the 5 Stages and her Element's Makeup. Now for the song. Melody HATED singing with a passion. She always convinced herself her voice was screechy, loud, and not good.
They pushed her onstage in front of Freeza's entire crew. "Hi. Um I have to sing a song so um. Ya." She cleared her throughout and began
