Black Flowers ; chapter 22, 'Forbidden'
"I still think it's going to rain." Bulma said, looking disaprovingly at the sky.
"You're crazy! It's boiling!" Yamcha scolded. he inspected the clear blue sky, decorated with small wisps of white cloud. "It's a hot summers day!"
"It can get really hot before lightning storms, Jackass!" Bulma fumed. She glared a little longer, before turning to Gohan, who was straightening his familliar orange gi. "I forgot to mention... Your mother is coming along."
Gohan snapped his gaze to meet hers with a look of pure terror. "My... mother...?"
"Chi-Chi is coming?" said a nervous voice. Gohan glanced beside him in surprise. Bra was stood in her shorts and white shirt. "Wait... who did tell Chi-Chi about our kids in the end?"
Bulma looked sheepish. "I wish the kids would hurry up. We're going to be late." She said, scouring the collection of Z fighters in their gi's and battle gear.
"Gohan! You told her... right?" Bra demanded.
Gohan looked at her like she was crazy. "Tell her that I fathered your son?" he demanded, but as he said the words he blushed a deep red, pushing his glasses back on his nose self-conciously.
"That would really make her day..." Tien mused with sarcasm.
"Goku! You could tell her!" Bra piped up suddenly. Goku rubbed the back of his head nervously. "You're her husband! You'd be perfect!"
Goku looked thoughtful. "You mean.. I tell her..?"
Bra nodded vigourously.
"Tell her what? That he fathered your daughter?" Trunks said, his voice laced with sarcasm rivalling Tien's.
"Then why doesn't Pan tell her?" Bra suggested again, beginning to feel desperate.
"And admit she slept with her uncle?" Yamcha piped up cheerfully. This game was fun!
"Yamcha..." Gohan growled in warning, not happy with that subject being brought to light again. Goten seemed to shift nervously, and Pan cast her eyes to the ground.
"I'll see where the kids are." She stuttered, almost running inside. Gohan looked after her with a sigh. Pan jogged into the Corp. She felt humilliated. She hated how her family looked at her and Goten. It was as if they had already comitted the deed in this timeline too. She couldn't stand it. She strode around the hallways, trying to focous on ki's, Cadell's in particular since she assumed he'd be the one that gathered the others. She was so lost in her thoughs, she barrelled into a sudden figure that appeared before her. She felt hands reach out to catch her by the shoulders a spilt second before she collided. She looked up with surprise.
"Vegeta?" She murmured. She stared up into his dark eyes questioningly. She began to casually pull away, but found she couldn't. "Vegeta?" She said again with surprise. She could feel his body heat from here. "Let go of me," She pleaded softly. He gazed into her eyes and she froze. Her heart beat up in her chest as he leant forward, his warm breath on her cheek. He paused, then Pan felt his lips brush against hers. A shiver ran through her and his lips gently pushed against hers, coaxing her to part hers.
Vegeta's hand reached out and grabbed her wrist. "Brat..." He complained. "There isn't any other choice, stop making this more difficult." He warned softly.
Vegeta glanced at her out the corner of his eye. "That was your first time." He said. Pan looked up at him. "I... I didn't want that..." She said shakily. "Not with you..."
Pan pulled away from his grasp suddenly. "No!" She cried out. The tale Rhaimon had told her played over in her head. Vegeta pulled back in surprise, as if in a trance. His eyes were... confused? Pan pulled herself completely away, stumbling backwards. She wouldn't be used... She would never be used like that! "Get away from me!" She shrieked. She stepped towards him agressivly. "Don't touch me! Get away from me!"
Vegeta backed away from her, still confused, but his pride soon re-showing on his face. His look of confusion soon turned to a scowl. Without a word, he spun and strode away from her, leaving her alone once more.
Pan shivered nervously, touching a fingertip to her lips. With frustration that she didn't realise she could feel so strongly, she slammed her fist against the wall. The plaster crumbled around her balled but still fist. She shakily opened her palm, resting against the wall as she cried out with anger and frustration. "Mom..?"
Pan jolted at the voice. "Tristian?"
Tristian looked at her with concern. "Whats wrong Mom?" He asked. Pan stared hollowly at him, not answering him. She sighed deeply, moving from the wall. She didn't want her son to see her like this. She composed her anger and distress and looked at Tristian again. She studied his face, his dark eyes... Goten's eyes. The same warmth and childlike gleam to them. His black hair twisted away from his face, but stray strands fell over his creamy complexion. Pan narrowed her eyes affectionatley as he gazed. His features were handsome and well defined as his father's. But she also saw herself in him. The soft shape of his inquisitve eyes. His delicate but strong eyebrows and his sensous lip shape. Pan found herself smiling with a pride she couldn't understand that seemed to come from deep within her. She gently reached her hand to trace his angular jawline with her fingertips. He closed his eyes as she did. She ran her fingers down his cheek, then through his corse but soft black hair. She drew her hand back again as he re-opened his eyes to gaze at her curiously, with a child-like questioning.
Pan fought the tears that welled behind her black eyes as she studied her son. Her shame...
Yet she found no fault in his design. No monster, no demonic creation. She only found a mother's love within her for what she saw as perfection through her eyes. Was she meant to feel shame... remorse for having created this? A living breathing child? How could such a creation be scorned upon?
Tristian tilted his head slightly to the side, seeming to be filled with some sort of contentment. "Mom..." He murmered. His dark eyes full of love and yearning for his lost mother.
"We're ready." Pan and Tristian were snapped from their reunion almost, to another voice. Cadell stood close to them, his arms folded. He seemed to keep his gaze locked on Tristian curiously, but with authority almost. Tristian stepped back, almost nervous of the intimate moment being interrupted.
It was then Pan noticed. Both Cadell and Tristian were dressed in a uniform. It coinsisted of a tight black saiyan training suit, and with this they wore black training boots. Over the top, was a deep crimson red jacket, zipped high at their necks, the stiff protecting fabric carefully molded to their forms. The jacket had large cuffs, neatly back with gold shirt cuff links. Cadell's uniform also held small gold and silver badges, indicting rank over his younger brother.
Pan smiled softly. "You both look so handsome." She said. Both young men's cheeks flushed. "Come on, everyone's waiting on us."
"We're here!" Eira said suddenly, appearing with the rest of the youths. "We're ready to go."
Pan smiled at the others. They were all in the same crisp and sharp uniform. The girls also matched each other. The female uniform was a black moulded training suit that stopped high on their hips and with thick spaghetti straps like a swimsuit, but they wore deep red hotpants underneath. It moulded protectively to their female curves, but still bared a little cleavage. They wore long fingerless red gloves that reached past their elbows and long past the knees black training boots.
"You guys all look great." Pan said with a smile. She blocked the previous event from her mind. All it did was confuse and frustrate her.
Arienne tied her long silken black hair into a ninja type ponytail. She looked curiously at her young mother. "Are you fighting like that?" She asked.
Pan looked down at her orange gi. She had always fought like this... But she began to understand as she looked at the female youths. Although only a couple of years older than her, they were sexy and alluring in their uniform. Pan felt like a child before them.
"She looks fine." Rhiamon said, glancing at the gi. "Some people prefer to fight in a gi. Like Goh... 'Dad'." he corrected himself awkwardly.
Arienne still gazed with interest. "Hmm.. We'll have to see what we can do.." She murmured out loud. She flicked her long ponytail behind her and she strode away. "Come on! We have a tournament to win." She said cheekily, winking.

Pan walked out first, joining her family, akwardly avoiding looking at Vegeta, who had also joined them. "They're on their way." She reported.
Everyone glanced towards the entrance as the youths emerged. They stared in amazment as the six strode towards them in pace. Their uniforms glinted lazily in the morning light. They seemed to be as one, their faces calm and radiating incredible confidence. They came to a stop, not breaking formation as it seemed.
Bulma drew a sharp breath. "You guys look great! You have uniforms?" She asked.
"From the Black Flowers army." Rhiamon confirmed. "But we no longer fight under their mark."
Mrs. Briefs put down her tea tray, walking over to them. She made a grab for Cadell's cheek. "You boys look so handsome!" She cooed excitedley, and all three young men blushed. "The uniform makes you look so smart! The girls won't be able to keep their hands off you!"
Tristian threw her a cheeky grin. "That's the plan." he joked.
She strode over to him, cooing and fussing over him. "You're such a darling! So charming, so handsome!" She sighed deeply. He closed his eyes and gave her his best throaty purr as she squeezed his cheek affectionatley. This brought more coos of maternal delight.
"Grandma! Please." Trunks scoffed. Mrs. Briefs stepped back with a sad look.
"Let her have her fun, Trunks." Bra snapped. "Just because you always think it embarrases you too much, you snob."
Trunks threw a deadly glare at his sister, then one at Tristian for good measure. He had not forgotten the humilliation Tristian had caused him last night. Neither had he forgotten his warm, solid body against his. This brought anger brimming to the surface. He stood proud, not forgetting his heritage as he glared at the inbred hypnotising youth.
"Wait until I stop the aircar, you crazy lady!"
"Gohan! How many times have I told you not to slouch?"
Everyone spun to see Ch-Chi scrambling out of an aircar. Gohan shivered nervously as his mother bore down on him, eyeing him critically. With an exasperated sigh, she glanced around the others. As predicted, her face fell and paled as they transfixed on the youths.
"Who are they?" A booming voice followed, and Hercule Satan loomed before the youths too.
Videl's face dropped. "Hi Daddy." She said weakly. Gohan looked from Chi-Chi to his wife's father. He was doomed...
"Well? Who are you? Speak up!" Hercule demanded of the youths.
"Cadell... Should I explain or should..." Pan began to ask her eldest son.
"Who is he, Pan?" Chi-Chi asked her grandaughter. Pan looked up meekly. She sighed, everyone looking at her expectantly. She went to stand between Tristian and Cadell. She nervously held the material of their shirt arms loosley on either side of her.
"Grandma... These are my sons, Cadell and Tristian." She squeaked.
There was a silence before Hercule began to laugh, his booming voice ringing out loudly. "That's funny!" he said. "Come on honey... who are they?"
Cadell lifted the arm Pan was holding, and rested his hand on her shoulder. "Pan is my birth mother." He said clearly for her.
Hercule was silent this time. Chi-Chi glared at the insolent young man, recognition crossing her features. "Isn't that Trunks from the future all those years ago?" She snapped. "Don't play games with me!"
"Mother... he looks so similliar to him, because he is Trunks' son." Gohan said. "And Pan is his mother."
Chi-Chi shot a glare at Pan and the two young men. "Don't lie to me!" She screeched. "They look older than Pan! Pan doesnt have children! She's 16! And Trunks? I expect that young man has more respect than that."
"They're from the future Grandma!" Pan cried. "They are my sons! I'm their birth mother. I have a daughter too, look!" She pointed to Arienne.
"How dare you have so little respect? All of you? Stop this game right now!" Hercule roared.
"They're telling the truth." Goku said. "Pan gave birth to three children in the future."
Chi-Chi looked faint. "The future...?" Hercule whined pathetically.
"You bakas! It's clearly in front of your own eyes." Vegeta snapped. "Her daughter is my own child."
"Yours?" Hercule said faintly.
Vegeta rolled his eyes. "I fathered Pan's daughter." He smirked. Chi-Chi was silent for a moment, then all of a sudden, she was being held back as she reached futeily to claw at the Saiyan Prince.
"How dare you have so little respect? My darling little Pan wouldn't even go near you! You're a monster! You perverted arrogant son of a bitch!!" She shreeched.
"Chi-Chi!" Goku said worriedly, trying to calm his hysterical wife. "Vegeta didn't do it on purpose. Neither did Trunks or Goten."
Chi-Chi froze solid and her eye began to nervously twitch. Goku waved a hand worriedly across her face. "Trunks..." She seemed to murmur in a daze. "...Goten. ...GOTEN??" Her scream was deafening.
"TRUNKS?? VEGETA? GOTEN??????" Hercule screamed. "How did this happen? Did they touch my little princess?" He roared.
"Look at the brats!" Vegeta snapped. "We obviously did more than merely touch the girl."
While Hercule tried to absorb this, Goku still comforted his wife. "Chi-Chi... They got her pregnant. But only because they had to." he said meekly. He brushed his hand through his hair nervously. "Just like I didn't mean to have sex with Bra either."
This was all too much for Chi-Chi. "Sex... with BRA?" She screamed, her eyes clenched shut and her fists balled dangerously. An unmistakable growl was heard from the Saiyan prince.
"I think it's cruel to stretch this out for her." Rhiamon said symapthetically, looking at the raving mad woman. "Grandma Chi-Chi, I'm Bra and Gohan's son."
"And I'm Goten and Bra's daughter." Eira smiled at the crazy lady.
Chi-Chi gazed hazily at Gohan and Videl. "You... you cheated on Videl? Bra...?" Her eyes seemed to roll back in her head. "Goten... Pan... kids...future...cake " Without warning, she slumped to the floor. Goku caught her just before she hit the ground.
"She's fainted." Goku announced. He didn't sound surprised in the least.
Hercule looked fairly crazed. "What is the meaning off all this?" He demanded.
Goku cradled Chi-Chi's head as he spoke. "It's all true." he said solemnly for Pan's other grandfather. "In the close future, the remaining saiyans are abducted by an army. Me, Gohan, Goten, Vegeta, Trunks, Pan and Bra..."
Goku explained with help from the others. Hercule didn't take it that well, but it was hard for him to believe such a thing could occur. Chi-Chi stayed unconcious. No one could wake her. So they set off for the tournament grounds in Bulma's large cruiser. It was a long flight, before Chi-Chi began to stir. She lazily began to open her eyes. Then again. She hazily looked around the cruiser at everyone.
"Pan! You don't do them like that!"
Chi-Chi turned at her youngest son's voice. She watched as Pan tightned her weapon strap over her shoulder. She occasionally liked to use a bow staff in battle, like Goku. Goten frowned. "I used to use these! You fasten it like this." He took the strap, stepping closer to her as he began to dismantle and re-tie the tradiational knot. Chi-Chi's eyes widened. Goten softly moved Pan's hair aside, and Pan tilted her head to the side, bearing her creamy neck innocently as Goten worked. He was close to her now, His face downwards so close to her cheek as his brows frowned in concentration. It was innocent, purely, and if it had happened a few weeks ago, Ch-Chi would think nothing of it. But the fresh thoughts were going through her mind...
"Get away from her!" She screeched. Everyone in the cruiser jolted, even Bulma who created turbulance for a moment in shock.
Goten and Pan leapt apart with wide eyes. They were both confused as Chi-Chi stood up, moving towards them angrily. "Stay away from her! And Pan! How could you?" She yelled.
"What have we done?" Pan demanded back. "He was doing the knot on my bow staff strap!"
Goten frowned, but looked hurt. "Mom? what are you saying?"
Gohan rose up. "Mother... Leave them alone." he snapped. "They haven't done anything wrong."
Chi-Chi turned on him angrily. "WRONG? NOTHING?" She shot a hand pointing to Tristian. "Then what the hell is he doing here???"
Everyone froze, listening to the conversation. Tristian seemed complacent, and he dropped eye contact with them all. Cadell tried to put his hand reassuringly on his shoulder, but Tristian growled.
"Mother! Sit down, NOW!" Gohan barked. "I won't have you judging people like this!"
Chi-Chi looked at her eldest with wide eyes. "But they're evil!" She shrieked, pointing at Goten and Pan. Pan stumbled against Goten with surprise and fear. Despite the situation, Goten put his arm around her shoulder to ressure and steady her. His face looked hurt and scared.
"STOP that!" Gohan snapped louder this time. "They've done nothing wrong! I dont want another word from you in their presence like this!"
Chi-Chi shut up. She watched Gohan fume silently. He had never stood up to her this passionatley before. She sat.
Gohan looked at her, then glanced quickly at Pan and Goten. Pan was trembling lightly, but as always, didn't want to show any emotions in front of anyone that she considered 'weak'. Gohan watched as Goten put his hands on her shoulders, talking softly to her. It was hard, being judged so harshly for a crime not commited. And as he glanced at Tristian, his heart ached a little. His grandson and nephew was staring blankly out the window at the sky, a look of... mourning and perhaps sorrow in his features. It was like a divorce. The kids are always hurt in the crossfire, by no choice of their own and with little defence. He had been judged from the day he was born for no crime he ever commited. Gohan's gaze drifted back to Goten and Pan, and Goten had pulled Pan gently into his arms, consolling her. The protective love of Uncle to niece was amazing. A thoughtful look crossed Gohan's face, before he resumed his gaze out the windows himself.
