They were just sparring that day, the tall guy and the short guy.
And they weren't expecting a thing...
"Kakkarot! Pay attention!" The shorter man said. "You're not much of a challenge today!"
The tall man turned around, nearly getting hit by an energyblast.
"I'm sorry Vegeta, it's just that I'm so hungry!" The guy named Kakkarot said.
The short guy just rolled his eyes, showing his annoyance. "In that case go bother someone else, I came to spar Kakkarot, not see you dodge one attack after another."
The guy, who appeared to be Kakkarot, shrugged. "You know I can't fight on an empty stoumach, Vegeta. Let me eat something first."
The Vegeta-guy sighed and mumbled a little to himself.
"Fine Kakkarot, but hurry up!" He finally said and sat down on a treetrunk.
He always hated it when Kakkarot couldn't concentrate properly. Somehow there was always something wrong.
Either Kakkarot was hungry, or he got distracted. Distracted by squirrels, for example. Or by the ocean...
"Look Vegeta! It's beautiful!" He once said to Vegeta, pointing at the ocean.
Vegeta had almost knocked his sparringparter out, because he wasn't aware of his opponent's distraction.
"Damnit Kakkarot! Pay attention!" He had just yelled.
Kakkarot had just looked up, slightly confused.
"But really, it's beautiful!"
Vegeta had just sighed and he had went home. Even his son, who wasn't half as strong as Kakkarot, would've been a better sparring-partner.
And obviously, today, Kakkarot got distracted again.
"Kakkarot!" Vegeta yelled when his sparring-partner took too long. "What the hell is taking you so long?"
"The fish won't bite!" Kakkarot yelled back.
Vegeta walked up to where Kakkarot's voice was coming from, to see his rival sitting there, with a small, improvised fishingrod.
"You have got to be kidding me." Vegeta grunted. "Can't you catch one with your hands?"
Kakkarot looked up, with his usual innocent look on his face.
"Yes, but this is more... Real... You know?"
Vegeta rolled his eyes and stepped into the water. He cut off Kakkarot's complaints about scaring the fish with a flick of his wrist.
"Shut up Kakkarot, I haven't got all day." He said, staring at a fish. In a split second Vegeta had his hands on fish and threw it to Kakkarot.
Kakkarot caught it and sighed. "But it's not real this way."
"That fish is very real, baka, now cook it and eat it before I do." Vegeta grunted and sat down again.
He watched Kakkarot eat his fish and he was happy when Kakkarot was done.
"Now we can finally spar again, and this time don't be a fool and pay attention!" Vegeta said.
"Yes sir!" Kakkarot said and saluted, just to annoy Vegeta a little.
Vegeta didn't react and got in his fighting stance. The moment he wanted to attack Kakkarot, Kakkarot turned around again.
"Did you hear that?" He asked Vegeta, tilting his head.
Vegeta sighed. "Maybe it was the fish?" He mocked Kakkarot.
"No, really, I heard something, it came from there..." Kakkarot said, pointing in the distance.
All Vegeta saw was green fields and some trees, so he told Kakkarot to pay attention again.
"No really, I heard something!" Kakkarot said and started to fly to where the noise had came from.
Vegeta sighed again and followed Kakkarot.
When Kakkarot's feet touched the ground again, and he began to search, Vegeta sat down in the field.
"You knock yourself out seaching for something, Kakkarot, I'll be waiting here until you find your brain back." He said.
Kakkarot smirked at Vegeta and started to search.
Vegeta got bored after a while, and he was about to start singing a song, when Kakkarot's voice came from the bushes.
"Vegeta! I found something!" Kakkarot yelled.
"Is it your brain?" Vegeta yelled back.
"No, but... Come on!" Kakkarot yelled.
Vegeta stood up, rolling his eyes, and walked up to Kakkarot.
He wondered what his rival had found in the bushes, and he wouldn't be surprised if it were edible...
I do own Nitara and the plot though, and the Rajin-race too.
