Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Fun! ❯ One-Shot
A lilth woman snickers and sneaks up behind Raditz and pokes at his hair. In a comparatively small voice she whispers to herself, mumbling almost,
"Is it a hedgehog?" She lifts a strand and winces slightly, "or maybe it's a black porcupine….hmmm," it moves as he turns his head and she follows it around,
"Is it dead?" Still looking inquisitively at the hair she bends down and puts a hand to her chin thoughtfully. She stands up and nods to herself, golden red hair gathering at her shoulders,
"Whatever it is, it sure is only a face a mother could love, if that," he snarls in a nasal, guttural voice, and peers at her through his green eyepiece,
"What…are you talking about?!" She frowned and took a tiny step back, her non-descript robe tickling the toes of her boots. She stared at him like he'd just appeared out of thin air. She smiled automatically and pointed through his face,
"That black thing behind you. I think it's dead," he looks at her and snarls again,
"That is my hair you imbecile!" He redoubled his clutch on the whimpering child and squeezed the poor fella into tears. Her glowing, golden eyes flicked down to the child's sobbing face before she sees the pathetic man crawling to the headgehog hair man on the ground, very concerned about the child. She coolly looks up and shakes her head,
"It couldn't be. It's just so…..disgusting," she sticks her tongue out childishly, easing the kid's sobs skillfully. She smiled and ran her hands through her hair, letting it catch the sunlight as she proudly proclaims,
"Now, this is hair!" She let a hand fall to point through his head again, "that is velcro on steroids, and just as prickly and icky as the regular stuff," he seethes and snarls, repeating the exact same angry sound as the other times,
"Stop picking on my hair!" The woman-girl rolls her eyes and puts her hands on her hips,
"Fine, just put the kid down," he chuckled at her and outright laughed when Kakkarot grabbed his ankle feebly and demanded his son,
"Give me my son!" The evil man shuddered, almost with joy,
"I'm afraid I can't do that. Show some pride, Kakkarot!" With that he kicked away Goku's hands and launched himself into the air.
The woman set her jaw and stared up after the man and the child, watching them disappear into the pearly-white fluff of the cotton clouds. Bulma and the others rushed to Goku's side and helped him up, asking if he's okay and many, many more pointless questions. Finally Bulma turned away from Goku and settled her gaze on the strange woman,
"…And I think we should know who you are," the woman turned to see Bulma with her hands on her hips, delicate, exotic blue hair cut short to her head, glaring at her pointedly. She turned her golden eyes to the little, old man, Master Roshie, his dark sunglasses concealing his most certainly piercing glare as he clutched the bulbous wooden staff. He seemed to be measuring her, watching and waiting. Another small man, young though, stepped up in front of her and nodded with a small grunt, agreeing with Bulma. The woman smiled faintly, her rose quartz lips stretching tautly and glistening jewel like under the noonday sun. Goku himself suppressed the pain and weakness and glared at her as he spoke in his best impression of menace,
"Yes….." She chuckled, the woman as she reached up to her throat and undid the gleaming silver clasp, tearing the cat in half as her non-descript, straight cut robe fell around her feet. She stood, unusually tall and lean, her form-fitting body suit only flattering her every curve. Bulma twitched her lip and lifted her chin, obviously jealous of the woman's physic. Crillan raised an eyebrow and his eyes widen as his hands fall to his sides. Master Roshi and Goku keep whatever thoughts could have possibly risen to surface inside of their heads and mastered their responses.
What skin was visible was pale, like white marble stained with rose petal oil and her eyes glistened a literal, glowing rich amber-gold. At her side hung a silver sword, most of the way sheathed in a jeweled scabbard. Otherwise seemingly un-adorned, (or at least her other adornments were hidden or unnoticeable) she stepped out of the half circle of her robe and stood, nodding. She closed her eyes, her red hair, glistening with the gold of her eyes, swayed with the wind,
"I agree. You should," she opened her eyes to find the others somewhat surprised. She paused and smiled to herself, almost as if she had to remember her name,
"I am Riat'ch, gifted warrior of Gaia and Selene, the earth and the moon," she waved a pale hand in front of her, "you can call me Ria if you like," she turned to Goku, an ivory hunting horn, guilded with gold and engraved upon artfully swung down around her neck, to hang low by her scabbard as she put her hands on her hips,
"I can help you get your son back," Maser Roshi smiled, as if she had spoken to him,
"The only way we can defeat him is by out smarting him!" Riat'ch chuckled and nodded, a gossamer pearl chain catching the light from about her neck,
"True. He wanted 100 dead humans here by noon tomorrow, right?" They all stared at her, Bulma stepped forward and spoke up in a tiny voice,
"We are going to attack him," Riat'ch stared at her for a moment, before laughing,
"That won't work!" Goku sniffled,
"We'll grab his tail!" Riat'ch blinked and stared at him almost dumbfounded,
"Is his tail a vital organ?" They shook their heads, Crillan making a small noise of denial. She continued,
"If not, why waist your time?" They all stepped back, stunned, Crillan falling over a root to stare up at her, astonished that she would indicate that they should strike such a low blow. She shook her head and held her hands out placidly,
"Well, he did take your kid," she gestured to Goku, "Doesn't that violate the warrior's code of conduct? Which it does…so now we go in for the kill. Are YOU," she waved her hand to gesture at all of them, "warriors or not?" As she finished they all took a huge step back.
Bulma ran and hid behind a rock, Crillan and Master Roshi stepped back onto the porch of the little yellow house. Oddly enough Goku stood his ground and glared out behind Riat'ch. Riat'ch listened to a dull thump as another landed on the isle, a green man, dressed in a white flowing robe, Piccilo. Ria turned and looked him over as he spoke, low and savage,
"What would you do woman?" she smiled and took a step towards him. Her back glistening with a golden spineguard running like a dull set of ridges down her back,
"I thought no one would ever ask. 100 dead he wanted. Morgues have corpses, and there was a massive earthquake just south of here, I'm sure they won't miss 100 stinking corpses,"
"And then what?" She shrugged,
"Engineer a trap?" Goku kept his eyes on Piccilo but spoke to Riat'ch,
"What if he doesn't fall for it?" Riat'ch smiled,
"What if nothing happens when you grab his tail?" They all blinked. She shook her head,
"What's your back up plan, what would you do then?" They stared. Piccilo crossed his arms and changed the subject clumsily,
"How do you plan to fight, woman?" Riat'ch's eyes flared brightly as he spat the last word. A golden collar appeared about her neck and over her shoulders, fading out of nothing, providing an ancient setting for the gossamer pearls,
"Power cannot be fully measured in numbers," she walked up to him, spat at his feet. She waited a moment, and as he struggled to move she stepped in and caressed his shoulder alluringly, knowing full well he could feel through her poison. She whispered into his ear,
"My saliva can be………poisonous. I can make it kill, or………not," she smiled, "I can do this and much, much more," she stood up and hit him upside his head, knocking his weighted turban off his head to reveal a pair of vestigial antennae. She hissed menacingly,
"Don't test me fool! I know the ways of war, not just the battle," I snarled and spat at his feet, careful for the remaining poison not to touch Piccilo,
"He will not be defeated easily!" Riat'ch turned and faced the old man on the porch as Piccilo regained the use of one hand,
"You are right, we do have to out smart him!" She turned to the rest and Piccilo again could move a whole arm,
"But we have to be clever. Not boneheaded. Now in order to be clever, we have to know what he knows, think like he thinks," Piccilo groaned noisily as he fell to the ground, released from Ria's poison he whispered loudly,
"What…………..did you do?" Riat'ch turned and shook her head,
"Paralyzed you for a moment. Now," she gestured up into the sky, "he thinks none of us are strong enough to kill, or even hurt him. Or that's what he'd like us to think of him, the fact that he took Gohan means that he isn't as strong as he gloats," they stared at her. Riat'ch shook her head,
"He's being such a loud mouth about his strength because he is only moderately strong, and incredibly stupid," They all looked at her skeptically, she threw up her hands in disgust, several jeweled rings catching the sunlight,
"Fine. If you want to know where he'll be so you can attack him, he is going to where his pod landed, that's the only place he knows. Besides he'll get annoyed by that kid and want him in a safe place, and more importantly a soundproof place. Also he wouldn't have taken the child if he was sure you couldn't defeat him. So, pardon my French, but he's just covering his ass," Goku stepped up to Piccilo and spoke, determinedly,
"Join me, so we can destroy him!" Riat'ch watched the green man place his turban over his head and agreed curtly. They turned to the rest of the isle inhabitants, including Riat'ch and Goku called out importantly,
"You guys better stay here," While Bulma, Crillan and Master Roshi agreed Riat'ch rolled her eyes as they disappeared into the sun. She nodded to the other three and gestured in the air, her hand leaving a trail of glowing, amber, identical to her hair and catching the color of her eyes. When the circle was complete she stepped through it and disappeared.
Riat'ch re-appeared just as Goku and Piccilo landed, damn, they're pretty fast. But then again the umbra is always crowded around here… They tossed away some weighted clothing and the alien chuckled ignorantly,
"Do you think a few pounds will make much of a difference?" Riat'ch silded up behind him and caught an aura of darkness with her sixth sense as Goku demanded his son,
"Where is my son?" The ugly man guffawed and pointed down into the crater,
"There," Riat'ch looked down and changed herself just far enough to sense that the alien was not lying. She hissed almost silently and darted out in front of the hedgehog hair man,
"Givvvvvvvvvve himmmmmmmm tooo ussssssssssssssss……………………." He laughed and made as to shove her out of his way. His warning blow struck nothing but air, as she seemingly appeared just in front of where she was,
"Sllllllloww….mannnn. You'llll havve to do better thann thatttssss……."
She let her rage flow through her and she grew, the jumpsuit fading away and her red gold hair shortening to fur and spreading all over her body as her muscles bulged and claws grew from her feet and paw-like hands. Her ears migrated to the top of her head and became dully pointed. Her left ear had a golden earring through it, which flickered and caught the sunlight like a child would play with a ball while it's pounded surface shimmied as she flattened her ears. A short, cat-like muzzle grew out, with an impressive set of razor-sharp teeth. Her gold adornments stayed save for her ivory horn moved to a wolf-skin belt around her waist as a thick, heavy tail sprouted from her back and wound up behind her, dancing in the air like a spellbound serpant. Her pupils became slitted as she put a hand on her sword's hilt. Her voice was thick and primal
"Give himm too usssss!" He laughed and grinned,
"Do you think your petty trick will hurt me?" He put his hands on his hips as a pale green light flickered in his eyepiece. She blinked slowly,
"Nooo……………but the powers I am granted by thissss formmm are…………..formidable. Your eye piece knowsss," He hurriedly put a hand to his forehead and shut off the gleaming, flashing green lights as he laughed curtly. Riat'ch chuckled to herself, gutturally as Piccilo and Goku gasped in amazement. She let her hand fall as she looked to the big man again,
"You have no weapon's. You musst fight me though,….." He laughed,
"I cannot fight you, it would be dishonorable," Riat'ch blinked slowly,
"What do you know of honor!?! If you will not fight, then yous will diiee!" With that she launched herself at him and dashed aside as he brought up a sharp backfist, as she fled she caught his foot with hers and tore it to shreds with her diamond claws. She hissed,
"I amm the red mountain cat. Warrior and fighter for Selene and Gaia. I will not be denied!" She pivoted to the side as he punched at her shortly and buried her paw in his armor, tearing it away as she jumped back. She threw it off her paws, disgusted, and twitched her whiskers as Goku twisted to the side, crying out as the armor almost knocked him flat. Twitching her tail she waited calmly as he rushed towards her. She set her claws in front of herself, dug them into the flesh of his neck and shoulder as she jumped onto him and furiously rabbit kicked away several vital organs from his midsection. He screamed a horrible, bloody murder and threw her away, his arms still strong. She landed on her back and slid a ways before she sprung up, her tail waving frantically, as if someone had just stepped on it. He clutched to his side and held his open palm to face her. It started to glow a faint blue white before energy exploded from his hand. Riat'ch sprung up into the air and back flipped to land behind him, she placed her paws around his chin and snapped his neck.
Goku and Piccilo stood; amazed as the evil man's own blood smeared his face as he fell, cold and lifeless to the rocky ground, smashing an overripe pear as he fell. Riat'ch stood, his blood pooling about her feet before she moved away and shifted back, to what seemed to be human, clean and un affected, still clothed in a black jumpsuit,
"Well. That takes care of that," she turned to the others,
"What were you two so worried about?" She licked her lips and smiled, "He didn't even put up half of the fight I was expecting, and I wasn't expecting much," Riat'ch refreshed her smile and pointed down into the crater,
"I'll believe you'll find your son in the pod at the bottom of that crater Goku," she turned and nodded to the green man, "Piccilo," with that she turned and her hand glowed the red gold as she began the circle,
"Wait!" The voice belonged to Piccilo, "how much training have you had?" The glow faded into the rocky landscape, she turned her head and cocked it to the side, her golden earring glinting alluringly,
"Only one year of formal training, but I fight to survive every day. There hasn't been a day since my first change that I haven't killed something," she gestured down to the ground, "this day included. Survival scrapping gives you a different sort of fighting style, less show and talk, more death and dying, and much much, much more blood," Piccilo stepped twords her,
"I could train you….," she raised her eyebrow, a faint change swirling in her eyes,
"No. I would be the trainer now. My days of learning are over," Piccilo snarled,
"But the way you fight is right!" She heard Goku's curt laugh and snarl,
"Like you know anything about right and wrong," he crossed his arms and added as an afterthought, "Piccilo," Ria smiled smoothly and looked up into the blue sky with only a few billowing clouds dotting the skyscape. Riat'ch laughed and lowered her eyes to see Piccilo glaring at Goku pointedly. Piccilo slowly turned his green head to Riat'ch,
"The way you fought wasn't fair, you didn't demonstrate strength-" Ria growled sharply and flew (not literally, ;)) to stand in front of Piccilo, he lowered his head to avoid her blazing gold eyes,
"You think I am not strong! Do you dare stand before me and admit it?"
