(4 days later)

 

Trunks decides to take their newest fighters to capsule corp. to do some training. Lance doesn't come right away because Stephanie called him.

 

Lance: so how you been since I left?

Stephanie: it has only been about a week and I already miss you.

Lance: ya, well four days ago I got into my first big fight with these guys.

Stephanie: well are they strong?

Lance: I lost bad, real bad.

Stephanie: well your gonna get stronger right?

Lance: ya I should, because I'm, saiyan….. Listen I gotta go okay.

Stephanie: okay, I love you.

Lance: uh, ya bye.

 

With an almost disappointed sound in the phone from Stephanie the line goes dead as she hangs up. Lance hangs the phone up and flies to capsule corp. When Lance arrives he takes a minute to look at the town and feels bad that almost the entire human race is almost gone and his home never had huge amounts of people die except the few wars they had. Lance runs in the main building. Tyler and Duke, one of the other new fighters just finished. Duke hits Tyler with a powerful uppercut and Tyler lands on his back dazed.

 

Duke: (helps Tyler get up) I was learning a higher version of power use at my home.

Tyler: what?

Duke: I put energy into my fists.

Tyler: ah…. (Rubs his cheek)

Trunks: okay next how about Vincent and Lance.

Vincent: call me Ying.

Lance: I don't think so.

Trunks: what?!

Lance: I challenge who I want to fight I'm sure Tyler did the same.

Tyler: (smiles)

Trunks: then who do you want to fight.

Lance: to get stronger I need to push myself to the max Ying isn't what I want.

Ying: (mumbles)

Trunks: then who?

Lance: you!

Trunks: I'll fry you.

Lance: so be it!

 

Lance jumps against the wall the pushes off toward Trunks and punches him in the face. Trunks rubs his face and flies at Lance and round house kicks him and Lance spirals into the wall. He slowly stands up and is punched right through the wall. Lance stops and puts his hands into the ground and backflips to his feet. Trunks surprised but not amused flies at Lance again but this time Lance rolls under Trunks and kicks him in the gut and quickly gets up and does a kick attack combo and lands on the ground then trips Trunks. Trunks plants one hand on the ground and kicks Lance in the back of the head then thrusts off the ground and barrel roll kicks Lance three times in the face. At first Lance stands there looking a little drowsy but then he falls face first into the ground.

 

Ying: man Trunks, what did you do to him.

Trunks: gave him a reason to stay down, that's all.

Yang: (John) man he's T K O for sure.

Lance: hah that was nothing (uses all his strength to stand)

Trunks: Lance your face is bleeding, you can't stand strait, and it's over.

Lance: oh ya…. (Lance falls back and Tyler and Duke catch him)

 

Later that night after training Lance checks his computer phone thing Trunks gave him and he had one message and a picture. This is what the message said.

 

“Hi it's me Stephanie, I'm sure you kick some serious butt today right, I called to tell you that I will wait for you but I can't forever and you might not come back but I just can't live with the stress thinking you might have already died so umm man this is hard, I don't want to loose anything important to me so I guess you aren't anymore.”

 

After reading the message he left his room and went outside and started to yell at the top oh his lungs. Trunks walks outside because of the noise and saw Lance in the middle of the court yard with red energy literally flying off him, Trunks stares on in amazement as Lance's energy turn red orange because the color yellow was adding into his dark red then everything went dark again outside and Lance just sat there panting. Trunks went back inside saying to himself “he almost had it that time.” Lance sat at the edge of the lookout promising that he would do everything in his power to come back to her.
