"What is it?" Ryinn asked.

"I dunno…Man, why'd they have to send us to come check this out? I mean, c'mon!" Mizuki said throwing his arms up in frustration.

Ryinn raised his eyebrow. "They sent me. Why they decided to let you come along is a mystery."

"And they sent you--"

"Because my dad's half-Shapeshifter, remember?" Ryinn interrupted. "That makes me one quarter-`Shifter. They sent me, because--having Shapeshifter blood--I can defend myself if I need to." When Mizuki was about to protest, Ryinn began again. "In your condition, you wouldn't be able to protect yourself for very long…" He was cut off as the door of the space pod began to open.

Out of the pod, stepped a young girl. Well, she wasn't exactly a girl. She was more of a cat-girl. What was surprising to the two quarter-Saiyans was that this cat-girl looked more like a cat than a human.

She had dark brown skin, hair as black as soot, claws, and beautiful golden eyes (eyes and claws resemble those of Inu Yasha…in my opinion). She smiled warmly at the boys. "My name's Neko."

"Neko, huh?" The cat-girl nodded bashfully. "And you're from what planet again?"

"Nettik…"

Anilina nodded, "I see."

"Well, are we just going to let her stay here? I doubt your parents will let her, though," Gonami said to Anilina.

"Good point, Go. Hmm, we'll probably have to enroll her at school, but where will she stay?"

"Where will who stay?" said a familiar voice. Neko and the demi-Saiyans looked up. A lavender-haired man looked down at the kids and cocked his head.

"Umm, hi, Dad. We were, umm…just thinking of someplace Neko could stay."

Trunks seemed to be even more confused. "Who's Neko?" he asked. He looked around to the cat-girl. "Ohhhh…"

Mizuki spoke up: "I and Ryinn were the only ones brave enough to go get her." He looked around at the blank faces, and sighed. "Oh, forget it!"

The next day at lunch, the gang (including Neko) gathered together at their usual table under the big tree. And just as they were about to get into a nice little conversation, someone came around the tree and glared down spitefully.

It was a boy; he looked about 17. He had light pink hair, and green eyes. But it was his skin that was the worst part. His skin…was a bluish-green color! He seemed to be looking at everyone in the group, but it was Neko he was really staring at.

He pushed back, now leaning on the tree, and then placed a foot on the seat of the table. "Who's your new buddy?" he asked no one in particular. "It looks weird…whatever it is…" He turned his nose up in disgust.

Ryinn scowled. "Her name's Neko, and there's no possible way she could look weirder than you," he snapped. His friends turned to him. Was Ryinn losing it?! If he kept that up, he surely wouldn't live for very much longer.

The pink-haired boy looked a bit taken aback. "You seem pretty edgy today." A smirked played on his lips. "That ditzy woman you call a mom have anything to do with it?"

Ryinn's scowl deepened as he opened his mouth to speak. He closed his mouth and threw a punch at the pink-haired boy. The punch, which was directed at Ryinn's opponent, was easily blocked.

A few onlookers began to gather around the table. It seemed to bother Ryinn a bit, for he turned to send them off. Without a moment of hesitation, the pink-haired boy sent his fist into Ryinn's right arm.

A soft "Ohhh…" could be heard as Ryinn stumbled back. He lost his balance, and fell back on his rear, flinching as he hit the ground. The pink-haired boy (whom of which I am getting tired of saying) fell out of his stance and smirked.

He wiped off his hands, and began walking away. Ryinn's friends aided him in standing. "Get back here, Zak. We're not finished yet…" He trailed off, and winced as Anilina accidentally bumped his arm.

After lunch was homeroom for Nixie, Gonami, Ryinn, and a mysterious new transfer student, Sakura (No, they are not the only ones with in that class…). During their test, Ryinn got up and began talking quietly with the teacher.

The teacher looked a bit concerned, but nodded. Ryinn walked back over to his desk, grabbed his stuff, and walked out the door.

A/N I know some of you might have been wondering about the characters, so here's a list of the newbies that have mentioned in this chapter:

Neko-cat thingy from Planet Nettik. Those of you who didn't notice, Nettik is "kitten" spelled backwards. That just cracked me up when Badi told me.

Zak-his mom is someone by the name of Hanna (we'll find out about her another time). I'll let you guess on his dad. Hint: He was last seen in early Dragonball; Frieza Saga.

Sakura-hey, isn't that my name? *wink, wink* ^_~
