Chapter 14- Changes

Disclaimer: As much as it pains me to say it, I do not own DBZ. The only characters I own are Athena and some other characters that may or may not make it into my story.

Author's Note: How did you all like my lemon? A little bit of OOC Vegeta in this chapter but it's my story and I can do it if I want.

Athena snuggled against her pillow and woke up. Vegeta was nowhere in sight. What she could see however was that all of her things that had been in her room was now in Vegeta's, even Baka's bed. Sitting up in the bed, she looked around and smiled as she saw that the two family portraits she had brought with her was next to Vegeta's photograph of his mother. Her ears focused on a far away sound, one that she couldn't place. It sounded like Vegeta, but he was speaking in a baby voice.

Downstairs, Vegeta was sitting on the floor with a little black and white fuzz ball lying across his lap. He was scratching the puppy's belly softly and had a silly grin on his face. "Who's a stupid puppy-wuppy? That's right, you are!" Athena had snuck down and stood behind him as he tickled the flailing baby. "You know dog, you're kind of cute when you want to be."

She walked behind him silently and slipped her arms around his neck. "And you can be very sweet when you want to be." She snickered softly as Vegeta jumped at her touch and turned around to look at her accusingly. "Thank you, for being so charming."

He laid his head against her chest softly as she slid to her knees behind him. "Onna, do you really believe that I would allow my mate to stay in a room separate to mine? You are the Princess of all Saiyans now and don't you forget that." She purred softly and he relaxed against her. He looked down at the Akita on his lap and huffed softly. "Your dog accosted me woman, do something about him."

She made kissy noises and Baka hopped off of Vegeta's lap and toddled over to her. "Aw, Vegeta, I don't know how Trunks survived around her for twenty years, you hate everything adorable." At the sound of a defensive growl, she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "No, I'm not saying Trunks is adorable now…but I think he was probably a cute child. What are you going to do when we have children?"

"Athena, we are, don't you feel the ki coming from you?" She seemed to study the signatures around her and her eyes widened. Smirking slightly, he licked her bite wound and replied, "Really, did you think that we wouldn't have a child?" She shrugged as if not having thought about it. "I suppose you should call Kakarot and let him know he's going to be an uncle."

As Goku was whining at ChiChi to hurry with his food, the phone rang. He sighed, deciding that his whimpering wasn't speeding up his wife. Grabbing the phone, he answered in a rather cheerful voice, "Hello, Son residence." There was a slight pause as the person on the other line spoke. "Really?! How about the two of you come over so you can tell Chi…she'll be so happy for you." There was the pause again. "Ok, see you soon, bye." He hung up the phone and bounded over to his wife. "Chi, Athena and Vegeta are coming over."

ChiChi looked at her husband and sighed. Without another word, she grabbed the ingredients to cook for two more Saiyans. She wasn't about to get caught with no food, especially if Vegeta was coming.

Vegeta and his mate arrived at the Son house approximately a half hour later. Goku rushed out of the door and gave his little sister a bone crushing hug. Vegeta growled and grabbed his shoulder hard. "Kakarot let the onna breathe. You already almost killed her once, that's enough for this lifetime." Goku let her go and blushed, rubbing the back of his head.

ChiChi came out and smiled at the new arrivals. "Hello you two, there's food in the kitchen if you're hungry." Goku grinned and pulled Vegeta inside. Vegeta, surprisingly, put up no fight.

Athena smiled at her sister-in-law and sighed softly. "No thank you Chi, I'm not hungry…but we might as well go in there and make sure they don't kill each other." The raven-haired harpy gave her a strange look, but agreed and walked inside.

ChiChi sat down next to her husband as Athena sat next to her mate. "Wow, a saiyan not hungry. That's a new one, are you pregnant or something?" Athena's smile made ChiChi's skin pale. "You are, aren't you?" A slight nod confirmed it.

A squeal of delight knocked all three of the saiyans away from the table holding their ears in pain. ChiChi ran to the phone and dialed a number. "Hello Dr. Walters? I need to make an appointment for my sister-in-law."

Athena sat up and stood. "ChiChi, that's really not necessary. I-"

"Nonsense Athena, you need to see a good doctor before it's too late. I want to be a good aunt so I have to keep you on the straight and narrow. No more fighting, no getting angry. If Vegeta can't handle that, you'll stay here and Goku can go live with Vegeta." She stopped for a moment, listening to the voice in the phone. "Tomorrow at noon is fine, goodbye." She hung up the phone and smiled triumphantly. The two men looked at each other and shrugged before returning to their food.

Athena stared at her sister-in-law in disbelief. She had just sealed her fate. "Chi…I hate doctors, they have…NEEDLES!" Goku looked up wide-eyed, ready to scream, but seeing no needles, tuned the conversation out. "Besides, if you're worried about me fighting, I won't spar with Vegeta or Trunks. That's the only fighting I do…PLEASE don't make me go. Vegeta, talk to her!"

Vegeta looked up to say something to the raven-haired harpy but shut his mouth as soon as he saw a frying pan sitting next to her right hand on the counter. He looked down at his plate and swallowed hard. "You're on your own onna."

Athena started to growl at her mate and was about to say something to him when the woman in question interrupted her. "Athena, it won't be that bad. They'll just give you a check up and make sure all of your medical records are up to date. Vegeta will go with you." She glared at the flame-headed saiyan as he started to protest. "He is your…mate after all; he had a part in this."

Vegeta finished his meal and stood from the table. "I hate to end this…lovely time, but we need to get home. Trunks needs to get back into his training…and I plan to make sure he starts tonight." He smirked evilly at the end of his statement.

Athena nodded silently and hugged her brother. As she let her arms leave him, she stole a potato chip and popped it into her mouth, eliciting a grunt of displeasure from him. She gave her sister-in-law a little wave as she and Vegeta walked out of the door.

Trunks hid underneath his bed. There were few things the twenty-one year old was afraid of, but his father's idea of training was one of them. `Knowing my luck, he'll make it harder on me because I liked Athena. He shouldn't worry, he won and I lost. She's having my baby sibling and not my baby.' He almost yelped in fear as he felt the bed sink above him indicating someone was sitting on it.

Athena traced Trunks' ki into his room and roughly around his bed. She sat down cross-legged on the center of it. "Trunks, I know you're in here. If you come out now, your father might go a little easy on you."

A lavender haired head stuck out from under the bed and looked at her skeptically. "Somehow I really doubt that Athena. He's a bit mad at me at the moment."

She shrugged and got off of his bed, careful not to step on his head. "Do what you want Trunks, but I'm telling Vegeta where you are. VEGETA!!!"
