Sora strolled over to Vegeta's and Athena's room with not just a little trepidation. After a few moments of working his courage up, he knocked on the door almost silently. "Athena, are you and Vegeta awake?"

A feminine moan rang out from the room before Athena's sleepy voice answered. "I was asleep. What the hell do you want Ashke boy?" Vegeta grumbled under his breath about being woken up, but didn't wake completely.

Sora cringed at his childhood nickname and sighed. "We've got about ten minutes until we land and I need your help to wake Kakarot up. He keeps mumbling something about buttered toast."

A soft rustling came from the room as Vegeta came to the door wearing only a pair of black silk boxers. "Don't worry boy, I'll get him awake." An evil smirk appeared on his features that made the younger saiyan want to cower. He looked back over Vegeta's shoulder and saw that his sister was asleep again. Vegeta noticed this and nodded. "Yes boy, it runs in the family. Our youngest boy sleeps like a log…just like his mother and uncle."

Vegeta sauntered over to Goku's door and unbolted it. Walking inside, he moved towards his bed. In almost a whisper, he tried to wake him. "Kakarot…wake up." Nothing happened. Smiling evilly, he charged a small ki blast and aimed it towards his rump. "Kakarot, wake your sorry ass up!" As the words left his lips, he let the blast go.

Goku jumped out of his bed, holding his buttocks. "What was that for? All you had to do was tell me to wake up." He glared at Vegeta while the older saiyan smirked. Looking at his younger brother, Goku scowled. "Why didn't you have Athena wake me up?"

The floor seemed interesting to Sora suddenly. Before he could answer, Vegeta jumped to answer for him. "The onna was asleep when the boy woke her up. I wasn't about to let her wake up too early when she is going to have such a hard day. Do you want her to be tired when she is supposed to be being diplomatic? You've seen her when she's sleep deprived."

Goku nodded emphatically. He visibly balked as he thought about the first time he had woken her up too early. He really wasn't sure why he still had his head after that one. Stretching, he got up and walked into the kitchen area to see his sister sitting on the counter, eating a piece of fruit. Athena was staring off into space and seemed to be in her own little world. Without focusing her eyes on him, she stopped herself in mid bite and spoke. "Morning Kakarot." The words fell into the silence of the ship along with a crisp biting of produce.

Sensing something was wrong with his sibling, Goku gently touched her shoulder to gain her attention. As she looked up, the look in her eyes said it all. "You're worried about going home, aren't you?"

"That place is not my home Kakarot, anymore than it is yours. I have been on earth for…years and I cannot even think of leaving. What kind of a saiyan am I if I don't even want to go home?" Her eyes broke away from his and focused on her half eaten breakfast.

A raspy voice broke into their conversation. "Some would say that makes you weak Onna." Athena glanced up to see a smirking Vegeta leaning against the wall. "But then…those same beings would say I am weak for loving you and the brats, but I would gladly be labeled as such for you."

Goku, sensing a moment between the two, slipped out of the room, earning a nod of gratitude from Vegeta. Pushing himself off of the wall, he strolled over to his mate and wrapped his muscular arms around her waist. "Vegeta, do you know how long before we land?"

Vegeta kissed her forehead softly and smiled warmly. "We have long enough to get dressed, maybe take a quick shower. Don't worry, you'll be fine. You're royalty Onna, you'll fall right back into place." He kissed her lips tenderly and pushed away from the counter. "Trust me." With that, he walked away and out of sight.

The ship docked a while later. As the hatch opened, the crowd that had gathered separated to allow room for the new arrivals to enter. The queen, a shorter, darker version of Athena, and a tall male saiyan stood at the end of the opening. The first to step out was Sora, followed very closely by Goku. He was not sure how things were done and his younger brother had offered to guide him through the process.

Walking straight towards the queen, Sora bent down on one knee and pulled Goku down beside him. "Mother, it is nice to see you again. I have brought home my sister, as well as our brother Kakarot and Prince Vegeta." A soft gasp of surprise flowed through the crowd.

His mother looked slightly shocked, but motioned for the two males to stand. "Well, since Prince Vegeta is alive, may I assume that he and my dear Athena are mated?" As if to answer her question, Vegeta emerged from the ship in his saiyan armor. Holding out his hand, a smaller, feminine hand accepted it. Coming into view, Athena walked beside her mate, with a cheer from the crowd, her back straighter, and her face more proud than it had looked in years. She looked like the same saiyan that had landed on Earth years ago.

The two linked their arms together as they approached the queen. Bowing down much like Sora and Kakarot had, Athena looked up and smiled just slightly. "Hello Mother." Her eyes locked onto the silent male figure beside her. "Hello Kiro, long time no see." As Kiro smiled at her, Vegeta pulled her closer to him and snarled warningly.

Kiro looked at the other male as the pair stood up. "Someone let something bite them in the ass." The queen glared at him to silence him, but he didn't seem to notice. "Honestly Princess, couldn't you find a better mate?"

Glancing around at the crowd that was growing very interested in the conversation, she wrenched herself out of Vegeta's grasp and came nose to nose with Kiro. With a hissing, silent voice, she replied to his question. "You and I will discuss things later…you do not need to air your disagreements with my judgment in front of my future kingdom. Do we have an understanding?"

A slight sneer appeared on his lips as he bowed. "As you wish Princess Athena." He marched away after a bow to Sora, Vegeta and the queen. Shaking her head, Athena knew this was going to make for a long visit.
