Setting: Earth| Time: Present (December 13th, Eight months after Chibi Vegeta's/Haakon's first lesson.)
Hey It's Vegeta!
It was Wendnesday evening and we were already at Master Chuin's dojo.
Arriving a good two hours before the regular 6 to 8 year old class began.
Haakon got along fairly well with his classmates. One of the 8-year-old boys
named Terrence, was highly gifted for a human child and was Haakon's
favourite sparring partner as well as his first friend. Haakon now sported a
plain green belt which showed he had just ascended to the 9th level of his
training. His quick ascendsion served as a reminder as to just how quick and
natural a warrior my son is. I remained completely quiet as the two were
deeply involved with meditation. I marveled as they both floated serenely a
foot and a half off the floor while sitting in the Lotus possition. Once
Master Chuin had learned that Haakon could physically manifest his ki he set
to training him how to focus and use it for more than just blasting things.
I was astonished to see that Master Chuin too could make ki balls just as
Haakon did. One of the other uses for ki was the ability to levitate and
even fly. Kirkjbur took him to one of the many remote locations of our
desert home so that he could practice and improve the length of time he could
stay aloft. At this time he could easily travel the 140 mile round trip from
us to Lake Havasu, then back in about an hour and return only mildly tired
from the flight. Haakon had also insisted on trying to show me how to use my
own ki as well. Even Master Chuin encouraged me to learn how to improve the
use of my ki. Though I was nothing of the likes of those two I could now
make a marble sized ki ball. It usually was pure white or white with a green
arua surrounding it. Freya too had joined in on the home lessons that Haakon
was giving me. She had as yet to form a ki ball, but Haakon encouraged her
by telling her she was "really" close. I could verify that now as I had
started feeling the ki of individual people. It was a strange sensation at
first since it was like all of a sudden being keenly and completely aware of
all the beings around you and knowing by that feeling of how strong a
person's "inner force" or Ki was. I was even begining to be able to discern
the nature of the individual. Weather they were possitive, negetive, or
neutral in nature. Handy if you wanted to know who could potentially cause
trouble.
I mused to myself over how much I learned about my family through their Ki's.
Haakon's without a doubt was very large rivaled only by Master Chuin's... and
one other. Freya's was positive and pretty darn strong compared to the
average person. Kirkjbur's was possitive too and slightly higher than
average. Though Haakon had offered to teach him too he declined. Not
because he didn't want to learn, but because he had his Armours business to
run where he made historical reproductions to make money we used to live off
of. He was a very devoted father and wanted to provide the best he could
for his families needs. Haakon didn't understand as of yet that Kirkjbur had
to work extra hard to make sure ALL of Haakon's diatary needs were tended to.
He loved our son from the stars very much, doteing on him as much as he had
on his own blood children. Brenden's ki was as average as average got and
rather neutral. Frigga's was possitive and very strong, almost as strong as
Freya's. She as of yet was uninterested in learning, I felt she was jealous
of Haakon and his gifts. Now 9-years-of-age she mentioned that I was
spending more time alone with him than her. I had to point out to her that I
took her to every single soccer game she played with her school team.
Granted that Kirkjbur took her to her Wednesday practices since I was with
Haakon at his martial arts training, I took her to her Tuesday and Thursday
practices. She complained it wasn't the same since Haakon came with us too.
I told her she was welcome to come and watch Haakon's lessons with us but she
wasn't interested in his "Karaté stuff". I also had to explain to her that
though Haakon was extreamly advanced for his age he is still just 4-years-of-
age and I spent as much time with her when she was 4 as I did with him now.
She still groused about it though. she just did't understand that loved her
and Haakon both the same. I was proud of her own achievements in school.
She maintained a A/B average, was very gregarious and friendly with her
fellow students. She was also best player on her school soccer team. I
planned a special treat for her on her Birthday in seven days. I was going
to take her to the dinosaur tour that was in Phoenix right now. She'd seen
the advertisments about it and wished out loud time and time again how she
wanted to go. Dinosaurs were her passion since she was 18 months and uttered
her second word (mamma was her first) POST-A-SUKAS (A/N: No joke that was MY
daughters second word, though she said it more like ps-su-kas.) Haakon would
have no class that week since Master Chuin was taking time out for a small
winter respite from December 19th to 26th. That would give me the entire day
to be with her and hopfully if I could get Haakon to cooperate, be with her
alone. I know he still prefered to keep me in his sight but I felt he might
understand why I was going to ask him to be seperated from me entirely for a
day. When Frigga was the same age there were times Kirkjbur and I had to go
for an entire day to run errands and restock our pantry. Freya would
diligently watch her till our return and though she did miss me she didn't
mind the temporary seperation at all, but all children are different. I
hoped that he would not be his usual difficult self. I was going to talk to
him about it on our way home tonight.
My attention returned to the floating pair as they finished their meditation
and touched lightly down on the carpeted floor. "Well done indeed young
Haakon." Master Chuin complimented. Haakon smiled and bowed in reply.
Moments later the dojo was filled with noisy students as they began arriving
for the "normal" lesson time. Haakon watched the door hoping to see his
friend Terrence. He frowned a little as three boys I'd never seen before,
half dressed in gis entered the dojo followed by a hagard man who was
breathing hard as he tried to keep up. "Oh joy...newbies." He commented
sarcasticly. "Hey you were one too once remember." I said in a stern voice.
He cringed slightly at my tone. He just had no patience for what he felt was
incompetence. It was a struggle to make him understand that he was trying
to compare himself to other children who was not gifted like he. It simply
was not fair but he was still too young I think to totally grasp that
concept. "Cool Terrence is here." He said excitedly as he started to walk
across the floor to greet him. "HEY LOOK IT'S VEGETA!" Shouted one of the
new boys whom was pointing at Haakon. (Ò.Ó) At first Haakon glared at the kid
with annoyance till he realized it was HE the "newbie" was speaking about.
"YEAH HE SURE DOES LOOK LIKE VEGETA." the second aggreed noisly while bobbing
his head up and down, then laughing. "HEY I'M GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT IN VE-GE-
TA!" The third and smallest teased while slaping his butt in emphisis. The
man that was with them barked for the three of them to straighten up or
they'd not get their class tonight. (Ô.Ô) Haakon just stood there astonished
by their outbursts. I crindged inwardly as I heard it. I had hopped that no
Dragon Ball Z fans would ever come to this paticular dojo. I had long since
seen the uncanny resembalance between my Haakon and Akira Troriyama's anime
character Prince Vegeta. Freya as well had noted the same. We knew for sure
that he was an alien, so perhaps Mr. Toriyama was actually seeing into
another world or alternate universe. As a shaman I knew that there are
worlds and dimensions that lay side by side. Sometimes they cross, most
times they don't. Some times similar yet different parallels with same
people or places yet different things happen such as Jane marries Bob instead
of Joe in X universe yet in Y universe Jane and Bob are brother and sister so
she marries Joe instead Bob. Still yet there is possibly a W universe where
she marries Joe though absolutly HATES Bob, and so on for other parallels or
alternate universes. So perhaps Haakon was a Saiyajin. But I was fairly
sure that since Akira named his charaters after vegetables, food items, and
clothing; I felt confident that the so called Saiyajin "names" weren't like
the series. And well if they were then they HAD TO mean something else on
their world then what they ment here. I had been dreading this because I
knew he'd turn to me for answers and I was gonna have to show him. I had ALL
the various Dragon Ball, Z, GT, and any other specials that I managed to
collect over the years before he came to me. So I could show him and I knew
he was NOT going to like what happens to Goku not to mention how the
character Vegeta is. I admit Haakon was very prideful, had a nasty temper,
was very stubborn, and could be very arrogant. But he was no 'evil' 'bad'
Vegeta. I knew for HIS ki shone absolute neutral, and though I personally
would have liked that it was more on the bright side I was content that it
was where is was. (O.O)He looked back at me. ^Mamma, do you know what this
dumb, dumb is talking about?^ He sent. ^Yes, I do Haakon and he is not a dumb
dumb.^ ^He's just loud and rude so pay him and his 'friends' no mind.^
^We'll....discuss this later at home alright.^ I sent back while returning
his gaze. He sighed, he really wanted to know NOW what this was all about.
But NOW was not the time and this was not the place. Terrence had since
finished clearing the distance between he and Haakon. He was waiting
patiently for his young friend to acknowlege him. Haakon returned his
attention to his friend and dropped his question till later. It wasn't till
it came time for sparring that some trouble nearly started. In order for a
student to gain skill they were often pitted against another student that
better skilled. Haakon groaned as Master Chuin put him up against the
youngest and smallest of the three new comers. It was the one who'd taunted
him about kicking his butt. The boy looked noticeably nervous. I couldn't
blame him since Haakon sensed his fear and was taking advantage of it by
walking over with his strange wolfish grin in place. "What's the matter
newbie, scared of a 4 1/2 year old?" He said with a sneer. "F-four...your
four?" "I thought you had to be at least six to be in here?" The boy
squeaked. I was the only one that noticed Haakon's gi move where his tail
flicked underneath in delight at the older boys dismay. "Now what was this
about you kicking who's butt?" (Õ.ó) He asked raising one eyebrow while
scowling. "Heh, heh, I was just kiddin and all kay." the boy replied
nervously. I cleared my thoat loudly giving Haakon the hint to 'back off'.
^Okay, okay, gosh can't I have a little fun?^ ^It isn't like I'm gonna hurt
him or anything.^ ^I just hate sparring with newbies.^ He sent testily.
^'Specially loud and rude ones.^ He added looking over his shoulder at me,
then nodded that he would 'back off'. That incident defused the rest of the
class went smoothly till the largest of the threesome called out to Haakon as
they left. "See ya Friday Vegeta." Haakon turned and glared at the boy.
"My name is H-A-A-K-O-N not Vegeta, get it in your head doh doh." He snapped
back. "Whatever Veggie." He teased as he stepped out the door. Haakon
growled menicingly and looked like he might just give chase. "Ready for some
food kiddo?" I asked to distract him. That got his attention immediatly.
"Yeah, can I have some hamburgers, fish burgers, and fries?" He asked
excitedly. "Ofcourse you can." I replied. We then both turned, bowed, said
our good-byes to Master Chuin and left.
*********************** On The Way Home *******************
I waited till Haakon was completely finished with his meal before I asked him
if he would mind if I left him with Freya on Frigga's birthday so that I
could take her by herself to the dinosaur exhibit. His eyes went round at my
request. As I figured he did not take it well. "But I wanted to see the
dinosaurs too Mamma, can't I go?" (Ó.Ò) I knew his intrest was genuine but I
wanted to do something for Frigga to help ease her un-necessary jealousy.
*sigh* "Haakon the exhibit will be there till March." "The whole family can
go up after I take Frigga on her birthday." I explained. "Can you wait till
then?" I asked. (Ò.Ó) The stubborn expression, plus the fact that he had
turned away from me looking straight ahead told me what his answer was. He
was NOT going to let Frigga have the exclusive 'first look' at the exibit and
also likely was not happy with the thought that I'd be doing such a thing
without him involved. But I was determinded to try again. "Haakon please
try to understand." "Frigga is feeling a little neglected lately." Do you
understand the word NE-GLEC-TED?" I asked. He shook his head stiffly still
stairing ahead. "It means she feels that I am not spending enough with her,
just she and I... understand?" I finished. He continued his glaring though
he turned his face towards his window. As he staired at the clear stary
moonless night I knew he was going over everything that just happened, truly
trying to see if he DID understand what I was saying. We were getting near
our turn off to home, I was just about to give up him saying anything to me
when he spoke in a clear soft voice. "She had you 5 years before I was born,
she's not ne-neglec-ted she's just being silly." he stated. "Be that as it
may sweetie she still feels that way." I replied. He was quiet till we
pulled up into the yard and I parked. (Ò.Ó) He then turned and faced me
still glaring stubbornly. "Well her feelings are wrong and I'm NOT gonna
stay with Freya no way, CAUSE I'M GOING TOO!!" He Yelled defiantly. That
did it, he hit the limit of my patience with his attitude and his dictating
to me. This time I narrowed my eyes at him with the fury I flet rising
inside me. "TOO DAMN BAD MISTER, YOUR NOT GOING ESPECIALLY AFTER SPEAKING TO
ME IN THAT NASTY MANNER!!!" "YOU ARE G O I N G TO STAY WITH FREYA WHILE I
TAKE FRIGGA, PERIOD! END OF DISSCUSSION!!!" I shouted at full volume, which
usually hurt everyones ears mine included. (Ò.Ó ò.ó o.o O.O Ô.Ô Ó.Ò)
His expression rapidly changed as I delivered my own ultimatum. He was
trying to get me with the soulful eyes routine. This time I ment business
and I was not going to budge in my decision no matter what he said or did.
Without a word he was out of the car and literally flying over our main gait
into the main compound where our trailer was. At first I thought it was to
go cry and then learn to accept the fact. But how wrong I was as I reallized
he had gone into the shop and was about to use his best and most devistating
weapon to get me to change my mind. "D A D D Y......MOMMIE WON'T TAKE ME
WITH HER AND FRIGGA TO SEE THE DINOSAURS." (-.-¡) *SIGH* I hate when he does
that, he NEVER says Mommie unless its to Daddy and then only when HE wants
something...like now. Kirkjbur was a very kind and sweet Daddy that usually
gave his childern EVERYTHING he could. ALL the children knew that if I
wasn't going to budge in their favour they'd just give daddy the soulful eyes
and he'd talk me into doing it their way. Honestly and then he tells me that
I souldn't let the children walk all over ME( ¤.¤¡). Freya and Brenden
ofcourse were old enough not to do that any more. It happened as I figured
it would the moment I heard Haakon complain to his Daddy. It took Kirkjbur
nearly 2 hours, but he persisted and I finally ended up agreeing to take
Haakon along with Frigga and I. Haakon was very satisfied with the out come
and was smiling happily as he changed out of his gi and into some play
clothes. I on the other hand was very angry and weary at having been
manipulated that way and was very quiet. I made and brought him his normal
evening snack then sat in my chair. I began to take deep breaths to calm and
relax me and try to leave the stress of the evening behind. "Mamma...are
you gonna tell me about that Vegeta guy those newbies were talkin about?"
(¬.¬ •.• -.-) *SIgh!* Guess I forgot about what happened EARLIER this
evening. Joy now I was gonna have to start plowing through this problem. I
fixed his gaze. "Yes I suppose I suppose I better 'show' you this or you'll
have Daddy on me again." I said sarcasticly. He just blinked and gave me
his "I'm Innocent" look. I picked myself out of my chair and wearily made my
way to where I kept the rest of my collection. I first brought out the
Raditz saga and watched that till it was time for bed. Haakon totally
freaked out when Goku died along with Raditz and demanded to see what
happened next. I convinced him it would be better to sleep so he could see
how Goku comes back to life. With that possitive prospect in mind he readly
went to sleep. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he was also going
to see who this 'Vegeta' was. Truth be known I wasn't looking forward to it
one bit.
********* Next Morning*********
Haakon woke up earlier than normal and pestered me to get up so I could put
on the next episode for him to watch and make him some breakfast. I groaned
out loud, I had just gotten back to sleep after getting up, making breakfast
for, and staying with Frigga at the school bus stop till her bus came a hour
and half ago. "Haakon please, stop pestering me." I moaned. Aaahhh come on
Mamma, you can take a nap when I do this afternoon, besides I'm REALLY
HUNGRY." He persisted. I knew that when he was like this I'd get no rest.
Geez I felt sorry for who ever was going to be his wife, such a demanding
person. I put on the Saiyan Saga dvds and went to make Haakon his breakfast.
I made him 5 pounds of bacon 3 dozen scrambled eggs, a huge bowl of Cream of
Rice with milk and vanilla, a gallon of milk, as well as 2 dozen slices of
butter and grape jelly toast, and some orange juice. An hour and a half
later it was all done and ready for him. Good thing I was a fairly strong
lady inspite of my petite stature else I'd had a time lifting the food I'd
prepared for my son. I'd also made sure there was enough for Kirkjbur and
Brended who'd be up by Now. As if on cue Kirkjbur had come in just in time
and was good enough to help open the doors for me. When he opened the door
to the trailer I saw Haakon scowling at the TV. "Here's breakfast." I
annouced as I set the food on the table for him. Usually I got an
enthusiastic smile and 'Thanks Mamma' just before he dug in. Instead he just
sighed and said. "So far Goku is STILL dead and trying to find this man
called King Kai and this Vegeta guy sure looks like a big butt hole." He
commented as he came over to the table and sat down to eat. "Worse of all He
sorta looks like me." He groused. He then turned his attention to the large
tasty repast I had set down, then looked up at me and smiled. "Thanks
Mamma." He said just as he grabbed a handful of bacon and shoved it into his
mouth. I smiled as he gave his ususal response after all. I waited till he
was done eating to continue the DBZ marithon. As the saga progressed Haakon
became less and less pleased by Vegeta's actions. I had left a bit later to
get Haakon's and Kirkjubur's lunch made and start on tonights supper. When I
returned with Haakon's lunch The room was full of acrid smoke and ozone
stench. I almost dropped the tray as I rushed in. HAAKON!!! I shouted
worridly. I looked but could not see him. I turned twards the source of the
smoke. (Ô.Ô) There were the remains of my entire entertainment center, such
as it was. The TV, Dvd player, video tape player, and my computer moniter
were toast along with the hapless dvds that were inside. Haakon had Ki
blasted them to smoldering bits. I had the presence of mind to shut off the
breakers to my trailer and unplug the mass from the outlet before restoring
the power. This whole thing took me less than 2 minutes to complete.
HAAKON!!! I shouted more insitantly while looking all through the trailer.
He was not in it. I quickly figured the next place he'd go. Since he
figured I and Kirkjbur were gonna be plenty pissed about what he'd done he
didn't come to me like he would have if something had bothered him. I went
dirrectly to the goat yard where I found him sitting with Thunder. He was
crying as he held on to the animal for comfort. "Haakon...baby why didn't
you answer me?" "You frightened me by not answering." I told him. He
looked at me with red rimmed eyes. I HATE Vegeta, I HATE looking like him,
and I H A T E those three dummies for even THINKING I'm ANYTHING like that
nasty poop." He stated heatedly. I went over, scooped him up into my arms,
and held him close as I carried him back into our trailer. "I didn't mean to
break the TV and everything Mamma." He said as we entered. "We will worry
about that later for now calm down, sit, and eat." I told him soothingly.
He ate rather mechanically though he still ate every single tid-bit. He sat
quietly looking thoughtful a few minutes after he finished eating then turned
to me with very serious eyes. "AM I like Vegeta Mamma?" I sat in my chair
and held out my arms inviting him to come sit in my lap. He joined me and I
held and rocked him while I answered. "Baby you may look somewhat like him
and even share some of his less charming traits." "But even if your name WAS
Vegeta...your not like THAT Vegeta." I said gently. He sighed with relief,
confident that I would never speak an untruth to him. He was quiet as I
continued to rock him. "Um, Mamma?" He began. "Yes baby?" I asked. "Does
that mean were aliens?" I cringed inwardly. Yeesh, this whole DBZ stuff was
really opening a big ol can of worms now. I answered him the only way I
could...truthfully. "No son WE are not aliens to this world... but you
are." I continued by telling him the whole thing about my other son, his
'twin' whom I had lost the day prior to his arrival from the heavens. I
proceeded to tell him how I had found him and taken him as my own. "And
you've been a part of this family ever since hon." I finished. He held on
to me as tight as he dare as if I had brought up some very old memories of
his ordeal. I then reached up and took down his special comb and began to
groom his hair. He began to relax as I progressed till I finished. "Mamma
if I am a Saiyajin like Goku than does that mean my planet was destroyed?"
He asked at last. I then started to explain to him as simply as possible
about how I felt that stories that people 'think' they make up are actually
glimpses into other worlds, times, or dimensions. So likely his world was
still intact, in fact I told him he knew it sill was and did really exist.
(Ô.Ô) "I do...how???" He asked me wide eyed. "Remeber the "man" you feel in
your mind almost every night?" I asked. He nodded. "Well I think that it's
your 'blood' father and that he has some kind of spirit or psychic connection
with you." "I also feel that he is trying to search for you." I stated.
(Ô.Ô -.- Ô.Ô) He blinked, then had a look of recognition as he realized
what I was telling him was likely true. "You mean he's gonna come take me
away from you, daddy and every one, and give me to a nasty guy named
Freeza?" He said looking distressed at such a grim prospect. He leaned into
me for comfort still unsure. "No, hon, no...I think your blood father truly
cares about you and is trying to find you so he can take you home and be safe
with him." I reassured him. He looked up at me. "You can sorta 'feel' him
too can't you Mamma?" He queried. I nodded. "Yes little one and I can feel
he is not out to harm you in the least." "Rather he seems very driven to
find you and I believe he will some day." I replied. His eyes went big and
round. "BUT THAT MEANS HE'S GONNA TAKE ME AWAY FROM YOU FOREVER MAMMA!" He
stated fearfully. My heart felt as if it were twisting in my chest as he
stated that which I was dreading most. Haakon leaving with his real father
to a world I would never see or likely know about. And I would once again
loose my son...my Haakon. I pressed on. "Yes baby...but you will be with
who you belong and where you were ment to be." "I am definitely NOT looking
forward to that day." "I will cry long and hard when that happens little
one." "But no matter what... you shall ever be my son...my wonderous gift
from the heavens." I said as I pulled him closer to me while tears fell
unbiden from my eyes. "Will it be soon?" He asked almost in a whisper. I
shrugged "I am not sure Haakon." "He many not find you till your all grown-
up or he may find you way sooner." I admitted. I knew it wasn't wise to
dwell on such unhappy senario's so I started to try to bring things back up.
"I'm sure one of us will find out or know when he has located you though." I
said reassuringly. "Till then lets make the best of our life as it is now
and enjoy our time together." I suggested. He seemed a little dubious but
was willing to go along. "Okay Mamma, besides he probably won't show till
I'm a whole LOT older." He stated not wanting to beleive it could be sooner.
"Perhaps." I simply replied since it COULD be true, but my sixth sense said
it would be MUCH sooner. Feeling better Haakon began to make his usual
request to watch a more 'happier' video or dvd when he remembered what he had
done. (Ó.Ò) He looked up at me forlornly. I looked from him to the wreckage
I had yet to clean up and sighed loudly. "Haakon...I'm affraid it will take
me a few months to replace everything." "Till then you'll just have to play
with your toys and keep yourself occupied another way." I stated. About
then Kirkjbur walked in and immediately noticed the damage. WHAT IN THE
FREAKIN HELL HAPPENED HERE! He demanded. I looked down at Haakon who looked
up at me. We both sighed in unison as this was about to get ugly.
(A/N:Don't worry the King finding Vegeta/Haakon is very soon. But mean time if ya feel like tellin me what ya think of this present King Vegeta/Reginleif A/U please do. for his families needs.
