Heaven's Gift to Me

Disclaimer: I own nothing of DBZ. I am a poor shaman living in the middle
of a desert with no $$$$$. So do not sue. I am merely borrowing Mr. Akira
Toriyama's brilliant characters. Plus I make no $$$$$ doing this, just
entertaining myself (and hopefully the reader).

Setting: Saiyajin Home World| Time: 250 years after Freeza's death

Epilogue (Always)

********* Reginleif *********

So very much has transpired through out the years. King Vegeta defeated

all of the Kold dynasty wiping them from creation restoring freedom to many

a worlds, not to mention saving countless others from purging and planet

brokering. Afterwards he began to work on his dream to make his people

more than what they were. His dream is off to a fine start as the Saiyajin

folk are now becoming well known for settling disputes and fighting for the

side of right. Haakon has been leading most of the troops since he was 16.

He enjoyed the big challenge his father tasked him with. Even when the

odds were grim he relished it for he always believed as master Chuin had told

him. "Only by over coming great or nearly impossible challenges can you grow

stronger than you are." It has been well over two centuries since I

last saw the old master. Haakon regretted not being able to say good-bye.

But we felt that some how the talented master had his own way of finding out

what happened to us. Perhaps Brenden had told him, surely he would have done

that much. Along with Haakon on many of his missions was his faithful friend

Kakarotto as well as their first born sons sons Kirkjbur and Kakachi.

Kirkjbur was born to Haakon and Azure's daughter of the same name. His

wild lavender coloured hair framed his noble face and set his blue eyes off

well. Like Haakon he too sported dragon wings and talons. A good natured

man with amazing battle wit. Kakachi was Kakarotto and his Chikyuuian mate

Chi Chi's first born son. Looking quite the blend of his parents he had

grown into a fine man. Though Chi-Chi always stressed the nessecity of

education she equally stressed the nessecity of being a well trained fighter.

"After all"... Chi-Chi would say. "Sound body, sound mind." I wasn't too

surprised to learn her name since I've run into more DBZ like beings every

day, but different in good ways. Such as this Chi chi had good sense to know

how to keep things balanced. Today Haakon was being crowned king by his

father who was abdicating so that he and I might spend some time together on

a extended holiday. It was soooo strange to be living so long and not aging

by much at all. I had learned that an average Saiyajins life span can be a

bit over 600 years with very little signs of aging. However in the case of

my mate Vegeta he would live so long as I do. Our soul bond imparting my

dragon immortality to him as all of our children of total of 15 thus far.

All fully grown some staying to help with their father's dream the others

using their great dragon strength to guard and defend other worlds that would

welcome them. But all were here today to see their eldest brother

ascend to king-hood. The ceremony was short as it was beautiful. Direct and

final as the people themselves. Amid the roars and howls of approval I

approached Haakon. When Vegeta was through congradulating our son I took

hold of Haakon and embraced him. It embarrassed him a little but he

didn't mind too much really. "Congratulations my son, you will do very well

as a king." I told him with the most sincerest pride. "Thank you mother, but

only because of you, daddy, and Father. He replied with a smile. I smiled

at the fact he still and always will it seems remember his Earth daddy. I

still missed him though Vegeta helped heal the void in my heart that was left

by his leaving. Frigga had grown to a fine young woman having mated one of

the twins Kale. She already had as many children as I had with another on

the way. Freya too has had quite a few children with Raditz who all had

talents that helped their world survive and thrive. Who would have ever

thought that Freya, Raditz and their children would come to mean so much to

the Saiyajin people. (A/N: This will be explained in a future fic so sorry

for lack of info, don't want to ruin the plot. ^.^). They too stepped

forward to give their congratulations to the new king and to say their

farewells to the old king as we planned to leave tomorrow morning to visit

are NOW allies the Darckons who are anxious to see me again for their own

reasons. (A/N:Yup you guessed it another teaser for another fic yet to come

+.+¡). Freya embraced me warmly after congradulating Haakon. "You have fun

and take care okay." she whispered in my ear. "I will and watch over things

while were gone okay." (-.•) I replied with a wink. "But of course, I never

shirk my responciblities to the Saiyajin race." She answered with a broad

smile.(^.^)

***** later ***** *** Still Reginleif ***

That evening was one of the largest feasts ever for not only was it to

commemorate Haakon's coronation it was also a farewell banquet for us.

Regretably Vegeta and I took early leave as we wanted to be well rested

for the journey ahead. Early the next morning we left quietly with only

Cumba and his family to see us off. We wanted it this way since it was hard

enough for the both of us. "You both will be sorely missed by all,

especially your kin." Cumba stated as he gave me a warm hug and brushed his

cousin's cheek with his own for way of good-bye. Vegeta placed his hands on

his cousins shoulders, looking him in the eyes. "You will ever be in my

thoughts my cousin." "My heart will sing joyously when my eye behold you

again." Vegeta replied. After a bit of a silence as we quietly bid another

farewell to all we turned and boarded the waiting ship. Once we were off I

looked back and watched as the Saiyajin home world shrunk from my view.

"Everything will be fine you'll see." He said gently in my ear. I leaned

back into his comforting embrace. "I know it will fine." I replied with a

sigh. "Wishing you were home?" He asked curiously. I shook my head. "No,

actually I'm looking forward to the adventure." "I can't wait to see what's

out there." I said smiling up at him. He smiled back at me warmly. "Me

too." "Let's see what's out there.... together." He replied. "Always." I

answered with a contented sigh.

(A/N:Hope you all liked the ride. I enjoyed writing this for all who
have read this work. To all my friends who followed me over from FF.net
my sincerest and deepest thanks, you were ALL a great support group for
me. And Katie Haakon and company are simply drooling for the fudge and
whipped cream that's on the way. ^.^ My next fic should be out before long hope to see you all there. take care all.)
