Chapter 8
Bra crossed her arms as she sat in the car. "You are not doing it, Mark." She looked out the window. He remained completely silent. She hated this there was a tension between them she had never felt since the first day they had met. "You heard them. Your blood type is too rare. Gina is probably not going to survive either."
Mark didn't look at Bra. "She will not have a chance at all with out the operation."
Bra knew where this was leading. "Tell her to find someone else! Some other way." Bra begged him looking over at him as she drove.
Mark pulled the car over into a little turn out. The green of the foliage was surrounding them. There were not to many cars on the road. He looked over to Bra. "Please Bra. I am scared enough already."
She realized he was shaking and moved to placed her head on his chest. "Then just say no to her, Mark. I don't want to lose you." She felt the ring digging into her finger as she held on to him.
"Bra she is my mother and sole living relative. Without her I am alone." Mark ran his hand through her hair. His voice was so distant "How can I live with my self knowing I killed her?"
"You are not killing her! Gina's body is giving out on her. You had no hand in that." Bra leaned back to look up at him "Please stop blaming yourself."
Mark shifted in the seat. "When we get back to the hotel I need you to call your family." Bra blinked in confusion. "I want you to tell ten what is going on. Let them know that the operation is in three days, and that I would like for them to fly over here to be with you. Just incase."
Bra pulled away. "NO!!! Mark three days? Is that what you did in there after I left!"
"The doctors took me aside and explained just how bad Gina is. They want to hospitalize her now, but she is too stubborn. She doesn't want anyone to know she is sick. She took a huge burden on herself to come see me personally. And it has taken its toll. She is getting worse. I saw the charts, Bra." Mark looked at his blue haired Angel. She was pulling away from. "I am so sorry about this Bra. I have to do the right thing."
"The right thing!" Bar choked "The right thing is to stay alive. I want to get married, have children, and grow old together. Damn you. This is suicide and you know it!"
"There is no way I can convince you?" Mark sunk into his seat. He was hurting terribly.
"No." Bra stated in her most forceful voice.
"Maybe you should go back to Japan, until this is over then." Mark turned the ignition on.

Bulma banged on the door as hard as she could "Vegeta! Damn you stubborn ass, Vegeta!"
The gravity room door slid open and the glowing warrior glared at his mate. "Woman. All these years must have messed with your mind. How many times." the glowing disappeared and he returned to his normal appearance. "Have I told you not to bother me while I am training. Last time you did that you told me you were pregnant." A look almost like horror crossed his face. "NO!"
Bulma grumbled to herself. "It would serve you right if I was, but not this time." Bulma held out the phone. "It's your daughter."
Vegeta felt his eyes narrow as he took the phone. "Bra?" He tensioned immediately. "Stop crying. I cannot understand you. What?" There was a long pause. "He is doing what!! Is he insane?"
Bulma leaned closer to hear her daughters voice over the phone. There was not much that she could make out.
Vegeta huffed in agitation "Blast the stupid woman onto the next dimension, girl. It will fix all your problems." The voice got louder and Vegeta held the phone away from his ear "Who cares if she is his mother? You want me to do it for you. NO I am not joking!" Vegeta hung up and tossed the phone to Bulma "Go pack we are going to America."

Trunks stuffed Aiko into her car seat as the baby bashed him in the head repeatedly with her bottle. "Stop that Aiko. Daddy may be a Super Saiyan, but that is beginning to hurt."
Pan walked out of the house with the bags of baby stuff strapped to her. "DO you think mark is going to be all right?" She looked upset.
It was not too hard to understand. Pan had known Mark far longer then anyone else. The two were very close for a long time. Trunks leaned out of the car and Aiko began to scream at the absence of her punching bag. "Future Aiko said that Mark was going to be her uncle. I can't see how he could die. I mean he is married to Bra in the future." Trunks walked over and took the bags from Pan and tossed them into the car. "The car is almost full. Is this all our things."
Pan blinked "No that was just Aiko's things." She motioned to the house "You and I only have one bag apiece and the are still in there."
Trunks looked at the stuffed car. "ALL THIS?? Aiko? How is it possible that some one so small needs so much stuff?
Pan looked thought full "We could takeout the playpen it would give more room."
Trunks shook his head vigorously "No we can make do without anything as long as we have that playpen." Trunks hugged Pan "The person who invent that contraption deserves a medal."
At that statement Aiko got deafly quiet. Pan walked over and gasped. Aiko sat off to one-side Trunks glasses in hand. "No, no, no. Honey," She tried to grab them, but Aiko pulled them away "Give my daddy's glasses. He is a very old man and he needs those."
"HEY!"

Gina swayed on her feet as the doctor was talking to her. She was really getting weak fast now. They wanted to hospitalize her again. But that was too risky, with Melody in town as well as Mark. There would be no possible to keep the tow apart. She found to regain her balance and look as if the dizzy spell never occurred.
"That boy of your sis very brave." The doctor handed her a prescription. "These will cut down on your immune system and in crease the chance of organ acceptance."
There was a knock at the door and Melody opened it. "Hello Doctor."
"Miss Sanders!" The young man smiled "I didn't think you were still in town."
Gina about died right there. If Melody had shown up not twenty minutes sooner… oh no. The consequences could have been enormous.
Melody walked over to her mother "I can to drive my mother home, if that is all right?"
"That is an excellent idea."
"So mom, how did things go? For the look of things I say we are going to have the operation soon." Gina nodded quietly plotting on how to get her daughter out of the way for the next three days. "Great. Don't worry mom. I promise to be with you through the entire thing!"
