Inside of Me

Was my transformation all in vain

Despite my son's pleas, I wait

I look through his eyes, ignoring their pain

He doesn't want me to share the same fate

I tell the monster to go my voice cracks

With a vile grin he obeys

I was a fool, a monster, all facts

I smirk at night, scowl at day

Troubled by my past, my heart quickly decays

Why did I spare that android's life

Some say I was caught up in the game

Others say I care less about my son and wife

To me these lies are all the same

Finally my wait ended

Still I wonder

Why I let him become his true goal

Maybe I'm unsure

My power dwindles as burnt coal

I lost this fight

I was blinded, I couldn't see

It fades my light

Maybe because the killer he is, is inside of me
