Chapter Four: Used to Abuse
-------------------------------------
Videl groaned as she tried grabbed her head in pain, sucking air through her teeth in pain as she tried to move her body. Bided to the wall by chains, Videl drooping eyes scanned the room, looking at the foreign furniture decorating the room. Finding a kings throne, which was red and yellow, on both sites were torches burning; the flames were humungous. The walls were of grayish shade. A bright red carpeted the room, which was painful to Videl's eyes. There was only one window to the left. Chairs with tables were everywhere. In the middle was a giant blue and whitish crystal ball. Surrounding by a purplish mist, standing there looking intently into the ball was a man. From what Videl could tell.
He stood with his form rigid, he had beautiful silver hair that flowed to his hips in a ponytail. His body was muscular. He was wearing black paints, almost looked leather with a black jacket opened showing his masculine chest. In his own way he was very handsome. His skin was white as snow, his icy blue eyes flickered toward Videl, and he smiled.
"Ah, I see you have awoken."
Videl closed her eyes for a second, she wanted so badly to grab her head in pain, her eyes opened and there he was right in front of her.
"Who are you?" Videl murmured, unable to speak any louder.
"You needn't worry of who I am. I am here for somebody."
"What's it gotta do with me?" Videl asked, narrowing her eyes, "Is he as freaky looking as you?"
"No, I believe you might know this man, yes you will know him. Yes. You're his weakness. If not now, definitely later."
Videl shook her head in confusion, "Who are you talking about?"
"Gohan, I am talking about Gohan."
Videl groaned and closed her eyes, "What? What are you talking about? Who is Gohan?"
"Son Gohan."
Videl eyes snapped open and stared at the man, "Son, Gohan? What of Mr. Son?"
The man smirked and turned away chuckling, "So I did get the right girl. Tell me, ningen, what is your relationship with Son Gohan?"
"Why do you want to know?" Videl snapped, "You honestly expect me to just blurt out my relationship? I don't even know you, and you expect me to cough up information?"
The man sucked his teeth and sighed, "You two are not intimate yet. That would mean you are not yet of any significance to him, just yet. But I see, I see you and him. I got you too early."
Turning to her, Videl started into his eyes. Enticed as he slowly started turning a blank blue, hazed and blurred. A flash of white erupted and then blank…

Gohan grinned, as his mother put down her giant plate of pancakes in front of him. He could feel the salvia drip from his mouth and slide down his chin. Staring at the food still, Gohan hands absently moved to find her fork and knife.
"Mom?" Gohan called out, his hands still moving and eyes still on the food.
"Yes Gohan?" His mother asked, walking out of the kitchen and threw her hands up in the air and sighed as she saw the familiar scene.
"You forgot to give me a fork and knife."
Chi-Chi chuckled and sat in the seat across from Gohan, Gohan's eyes still on the food, "Yes I did, Gohan."
"Uh-uh."
"Gohan, move your right hand a little upward, same with your left. Going around in circles isn't gaining anything in your favor."
Gohan looked down and grinned sheepishly as he went and grabbed silvers, "Heh heh, sorry 'bout that Mom." Gohan said as he scratched the back of his head, "Got a little lost there. It just your food looks so good----"
"Here's the syrup, Gohan, enjoy your food." Chi-Chi interrupted his speech and handed him the syrup. 'I've listen to that speech way too many times.'
Gohan nodded and grabbed the syrup and started dipping it on his food. After he was done, he walked to his kitchen, rubbing his stomach in content.
"Wooh! I should come here more often. After a while it gets kinda old to keep going to fast food restaurants for breakfast."
"Well, I was wondering why you were getting fatter." Chi-Chi commented as she took the dishes and started washing the plates, "If only your brother had a little more common sense to come home. I know he's not eating well at that college…well at least he is at college."
"He's with Trunks, mom, he's doing fine."
"That's right, he's with Trunks. I mean who knows the shit my baby could be because of Vegeta's son. That boy is easily influenced by Trunks, you know."
Gohan shook his head as he walked out, "Trunks is a good guy, and don't worry 'bout Goten. After a while he'll miss your cooking…and you." Gohan added the last part, knowing she would have commented that Goten would care about the food only.
"You're right Gohan. Have I told you you're my favorite child?"
Gohan grinned sheepishly, "I better go take a shower."
"Right honey."

Gohan walked into the Capsule Corp building with his briefcase in hand as he scanned the room. Walking to the elevator, he pressed the fifth floor. Waiting patiently as elevator reached the floor.
A soft 'ding' was heard as the elevator door opened, stepping out. Gohan walked to his office, opening it with the keys in his pocket. Gohan set his briefcase on the table and sat in the chair. Turning on the computer, he opened his briefcase as the computer loaded.
Rummaging through his files, he looked up and saw that Windows finish loading and was at the desktop. Doubling clicking Internet Explorer, he typed in the address box.
ftp://capsulecorp.employee.com
A window popped up, he typed in his username and password, and started editing the sites and business statistic. Gohan turned as he heard his phone ring, pressing the button to turn on speaker.
"Son here."
"Son Gohan, you have a call on line 54." The secretary high-pitched voice came through. Gohan cringed, but tried to hide it feeling as if he was rude.
"Um, do you know who he is?"
"She, sir."
"Mom?"
"No, Sir, it's not the devil, sir."
Gohan chuckled and nodded before realizing that she couldn't see him, "Oh, okay, thank you, Mary."
Gohan flipped to line 54 and waited for anyone to answer before speaking, "Hello?"
"Is this Son, Gohan?" a voice came through.
"Yes, this is Son, who is this?"
"Satan, Videl."
Gohan broke out into a grin, "Oh, hey…Ms. Satan."
"Heh heh, Mr. Son, you can call me Videl. I just wanted to say thanks for the ride last night."
"Ya welcome! It was my pleasure. Also you can call me Gohan. So how was your morning?" Gohan asked, trying to sound polite and was answered by silence.
"Uh…Videl?"
"I have to go Gohan, bye." The connection was closed as a soft click was heard. Gohan turned off his phone and turned to his computer, 'That was weird.'
_____________
Videl put back her phone to the receiver, and sighed. 'Why don't I remember anything? I shouldn't have freaked out like that. But all I remember is walking to the elevator yesterday and then blank…everyone telling me I left early. I told them I was tired, but people are always complaining at a workaholic I am. I would never leave early.'
Videl got up and walked to the windows and looked down and watched as people went about on their lives. Traffic was overwhelming, there had to be over a dozen of cabs and buses. People chasing after each other and so much more.
'I wish I was in their position. They're lucky. They don't have to worry about the hardships of my life. Sure I got money, but what does money do you when things that mean something are gone?'
Videl wiped away the tear that was threatened to fall down her rosy cheeks. Trying to calm the sobs that were aching to come out. Turning around, she walked to her desk and opened her drawer and took a tissues
"Weak people cry." Videl mumbled, trying to reassure herself, "I have everything. Besides think of more terrible problems people have than me and here I am not appreciating what I have."
"Just because people are suffering more than you doesn't mean your pain doesn't count…"
Videl gasped and looked around for the voice that had interrupted her thoughts with wisdom.
"Who's there? Show yourself." Videl said bravely, silence. Videl collapse to the floor, 'I'm loosing it.'
Looking up, Videl whispered to her mother, "Everything changed after you left. I feel like I should be in a crazy house."
Getting Videl smoothed her skirt; she went to her phone and dialed a number.
"Hello? May I speak to Erasa, please? Alright… Hey Erasa!…I'm fine. Listen, you busy tonight?… No you don't gotta cancel for me…Erasa…all right, I was just thinking we could hang today. Go to the movies like we used to and check the new hip movies…. Okay, at nine…see you then…bye."
Videl turned placed the phone down on the receiver. Taking a pen out of the cup on her desk, Videl started looking through the files, checking for any errors. Videl gasped and stop what she was going.
'The party! It's next week! I need a dress! I need to prepare before the party. Oh my Kami, how could I have forgotten! I never forget these things, what the hell is wrong with me nowadays?'
Videl got up and grabbed her purse and walked out of her office, walking to her secretary, "I'll be gone for about an hour and thirty minutes, all right? If anyone calls me or needs me tell them to reach me on my cell since it's on, all right?"
The older woman nodded and Videl smiled and left.
______
Gohan glanced at the picture and looked at several clothing department that he was forced to look for. Bulma had asked him to go get a dress for him; unable to describe good enough for Gohan she had attempted to draw the dress.
"When I saw it, I was in a hurry so I couldn't get it. So with the party next week, I decided to use a new dress."
"Um…Bulma? What's wrong with the dresses you got now?"
Bulma shook her head, "Gohan, everyone seen me in those clothes. I need something new and snazzy. I'm a bit busy for the week and I need you to go get them since you're almost done with your work."
"Do I have to Bulma? I don't even know how it looks like!"
"It's red, spaghetti strap. It reaches my knees and is really clingy so it shows my womanly curves, it also has-----" Bulma stopped and laughed as she saw Gohan lost look, "I'll draw it for you. You go to the store that has the name diamond in it. Now here's the money."
Gohan looked up at six stores that each title contained Diamond. Her Diamond Clothing. Clothes of the Diamond. Diamond of Highest Clothes. Diamond Quality Clothing. Quantity of Diamondtriss Clothing. Diamonds Clothes.
"Sheesh, Bulma could have been a bit more precise." Gohan took out his cell phone and dialed Bulma's cell phone number to find her cell phone off.
"Man, she isn't specific and now I'm going to have to check all of them. Man oh Man."
Gohan put his cell phone and picture in his rear pockets and walked to the first store. Looking around, Gohan looked at each of the clothing that was being displayed. Blushing slightly at the look the women where throwing at him.
'Okay, not here.' Gohan rushed out of the store and into the one next to it, looking around all he found was red dresses. His eyes wide and his mouth agape.
"Come on! How am I suppose to find it here?"
Gohan turned and walked to the cashier, showing him the picture the woman shook her head, "There's no dress of that style here, sir." The woman said, "Sorry."
"Come on, it's red. It could be here."
"No sir, none is here. I apologize."
Gohan sighed and turned and was about to walk out when he bumped into someone, "I'm sorry."
"Hey buddy! Watch where you're going, will ya?" A voice snapped, Gohan looked up to find Videl wearing a plain white shirt and light blue jeans.
"Ms. Satan…" Gohan smiled.
"Oh it's you, I'm sorry Gohan." Videl apologized, "Didn't know it was you there."
"That's okay, so what are you doing here?"
"Looking for a dress for the party." Videl said, "You? This is the last place I expect to find you, including the whole male population."
"Shopping for Mrs. Briefs…. Um, Videl, do you know where I can find dress?" Gohan asked, showing Videl the picture.
Videl smiled and nodded, "Yeah it's at Diamonds Clothes, their always selling clothes like that. C'mon, besides I'm shopping too and no way in hell I'm going to buy clothes here from red heaven."
Gohan grinned and followed Videl, "Gee, thanks Videl. I would be here for HOURS if you hadn't come."
"Sure thing, besides, I owe ya for the ride. Now we're even."
Gohan smiled and followed Videl into the store. Videl turned and pointed to one corner of the store, "If you go there, you'll find tons of dresses, you'll find that one in the corner."
"Uh…Why don't you come with me, Videl?"
Videl shrugged, "Okay, why not? Who knows, I might find a cute dress to wear…"
Gohan chuckled and walked to where Videl pointed. Turning to the corner, he found the dress Bulma had wanted, "It's right there, amazing!" Gohan turned to Videl to find her looking through clothes.
Finally she choose one that a blue dress.
"Good Choice. I'll bring out your eyes…you have nice eyes."
Videl looked down and blushed, "Thanks, um, let's go buy them, all right?"
Gohan nodded and followed Videl to the desk and brought her outfit and Gohan brought Gohan.
"So where are you going, Videl?"
"Well I should get back to work. But I suddenly don't feel like going back. I mean, I already changed clothing… it's just…"
"Gotta take a break sometime, right?" Gohan smiled and sat down on a bench. Videl nodded and took a seat next to him, looking at the fountain in front of them.
"I'm sorry about this morning." Videl said suddenly, "I don't know what came over me."
"That's okay, must have been something emotional."
Videl shook her head and continue to stare at the fountain, "Ever since my mother died, everything has changed. Everything is so emotional. Feh, I've suddenly become a drama queen, literally. I bet if you were to meet me before my mother passed away, I would have never though of committing suicide. In fact I would have snapped at you if you were to even say that I was consider suicide."
Gohan looked at Videl intently, "Got any idea why things are like it is?"
"I don't know. It just feels like I have to let go sometimes. I mean sometimes I'm just so tired and it's not a physical fatigue but a spiritual one." Videl whispered as she clutched the bag, which had her dress, "It's like I'm slowly dieing inside."
"What about your Dad? Isn't he enough to live for?"
"I love my father yes, but it's different with a mother. She was always a bit cocky. But she was my mother. Then there's the whole crap with my ex-boyfriend."
"Ex-boyfriend?" Gohan arched an eyebrow, "What happened?"
Videl sighed, "The usual. He cheated on me, I broke it off, and he still thinks we're together. Just the other day he came and surprised me by kissing me. Dumb ass…"
"Heh heh, seems like you got your hands full."
"Why am I telling you this?" Videl said out of a sudden, "I barely know you and I feel as if I can trust you."
"I don't know Videl." Gohan shrugged, "A lot of people seemed to be trusting me a lot."
Videl smiled and turned to Gohan, "You're a sweet guy."
"Eh…." Gohan blushed and turned away, "Thanks."
"Life is just so hard, you know? I mean I'm dealing a company here and a loss of a mother and…" Videl stopped as she felt tears start to come. Turning away leaving a trail of crystal tears in the air.
"Videl…don't cry, it's okay." Gohan tried to comfort Videl. Videl turned to Gohan and looked up, "Why don't I feel that way, Gohan? Why don't I feel like everything is all right?"
Gohan looked into Videl's eyes and searched to find the answer, "I don't know. Only Kami knows."
Videl collapse into Gohan's arm and wrapped her arms around his waste tightly, "I'm sorry if I seem like I'm intruding. I just need someone now."
"It's okay, I like being a pillow." Gohan chuckled and pulled her closer. A few minutes passed before Videl pulled away.
"Thanks, I need that. I needed someone." Videl thanked and pulled away, getting up. Gohan looked at her and stood in front of her, "I think you need a friend."
"I already have a friend…" Videl trailed. Looking at Gohan's lips. Closing her eyes, Videl tilted her head, and finally felt her lips pressed against Gohan's. She gasped as she felt Gohan tongue run against her lips for access. Letting him in. Videl wrapped her arms around Gohan and Gohan around her.
Finally they pulled away, Videl looked stuff her hand into her pocket and took out a piece of paper. Turning around and giving Gohan her back, Videl reached into her shirt pocket to take a pen. Writing something on the paper, she turned around and smiled at Gohan.
Taking her shopping bag, Videl took Gohan's hand and stuffed the paper into his hand. Giving him the peace sign Videl grinned before running away.
Gohan opened the crumbled the paper to find seven numbers.
235-9875
"She gave me her number…" Gohan said, feeling an overwhelming feeling of joy. Turning around he found people staring at him. Grinning nervously before waving. Grabbing the job, Gohan walked out of the mall blissfully.
"All right! She gave me her number!!"
