Just Can't Get a Break by Misery Child

Chapter 2: What Could Go Wrong in History Class?

A week had past since the incident in the Janitor's closet. Videl and Gohan really hadn't had much time alone since then. They were constantly on call with an upsurge in criminal activity in Satan City and Bulma had cornered Videl to help her with a party she was planning to have that weekend. They never got the chance to be alone so needless to say, the two teens were feeling very frustrated.

"Videl, I can't take this anymore. If I don't get a chance to hold you, I'm going to burst!" Gohan couldn't believe how it felt to be near her these days. It's as if just a whiff of her shampoo could set his blood aflame. His fingers were inching just to touch her.

"I know, I know. We could always go back to the janitor's closet."

"But what about Sharpener and Erasa? That's their room. And Sharpener was pretty adamant about us not being in there again."

Videl couldn't understand why he was fighting her on this. Didn't he want to be with her as much as she wanted to be with him. She'd never felt like this before. She'd been attracted to boys before but never like this. She loves him so much and feels like she'll die if she didn't have him.

"So, what he doesn't know won't kill him. Plus you could knock him half way around the world. What kind of threat is he?" Yeah, Gohan could just beat up Sharpener. Yup. Problem solved.

"Yeah, but he's a friend so I wouldn't knock him half way around the world. Maybe just around the corner and that's only if he hurt someone I care about. He's basically my friend. Sort of." Gohan couldn't believe Videl wanted him to beat this guy up. Sure he's annoying, but that's no reason to beat someone up. If that were the case, then a whole lot of people would be beating up her dad.

"Well, friends share, don't they."

"Yeah."

"So don't you think our friend Sharpener would share his little room. Just for a little while." If she couldn't talk him into this, Videl didn't know what she was going to do. It seemed that the only time they could be together lately was during school and crime fighting. That just wasn't enough for her. She needed more, much more.

"I don't know Videl. He did ask us not to."

"Well, he's still our friend and the roof is too far to go and" *Beep Beep Beep.*

"Ahhh! Stupid watch"

"Just answer it honey."

"Yeah Chief."

"Videl, there's a robbery at the First National Bank. We need you and Saiyaman immediately!"

"We're on our way. Videl out."

"Guess we'll be heading to the roof after all, huh Videl."

"Oh shut up!" Sometimes he can be so stupid, but then he looks at her with those beautiful eyes and she could forgive him anything.

After stopping the would be bank robbers, the two crime fighters headed back to school. Since it was time for history class, they didn't get the chance to finish their conversation.

Videl, desperate for some time with her boyfriend, passes a note to Gohan.

I can't take this anymore. Meet me on the roof ASAP!

Gohan, a bit stunned by the message responds:

*We can't. We're in the middle of history.*

Videl, not happy with his answer has a bit to say about it. She couldn't believe how much of a fight he was putting up.

*WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF HISTORY!

I mean after class you dolt! Jeez, why are you making this so difficult?*

Gohan, responds with a loud "Oh!" finally understanding her logic.

"Mr. Son, what is the meaning of this outburst?"

"Uh, sorry Mr. Abbott. I don't know what came over me. I just wanted you to stop so, uh, so that everyone was paying attention to your wonderful lecture on the different causes of the American Revolution. It's just so fascinating and I wanted to make sure everyone was paying attention." Gohan hoped the teacher bought that piece of B.S.

"Well, if I didn't know any better I'd say you were not paying attention to my lecture yourself, but seeing as how you always score well, I guess I should not worry about you. But please, keep in mind that you should not interrupt my class in the future. Unfortunately your classmates do not share you fascination with the American Revolution so it is imperative that you not disrupt the class again. Thank you, Mr. Son."

"Uh, yes sir Mr. Abbott. I won't happen again."

"See that it doesn't, Mr. Son."

Videl somehow manages to contain her laughter while Mr. Abbott continues with the lecture. Gohan just slinks further into his seat while attempting to not turn a deeper shade of red.

After Mr. Abbott's class, Gohan and Videl headed to the roof for their chat. At least that's what Gohan thought they were going to do until Videl informed him otherwise.

"Videl, sweetheart, shouldn't we be heading to biology? I think we get to dissect frogs today." Granted, biology class was not really where he wanted to be, but at least he would be near her.

"Gohan, didn't your mother already have you dissect frogs, pigs and whatever else she could find for you to cut up. Now do you honestly need to dissect anymore animals?"

"Well, I guess not."

"And since I've had first aid training with the Police department, I've been trained in basic field surgery and what not. I could cut a hole in someone's trachea to help them breathe if need be so do you honestly think that I need to dissect some poor defenseless frog?"

"I guess not."

"So don't you think we should use this time, since we're already well versed on that aspect of biology, to get some hands on training on another aspect of biology, say human anatomy?"

"What exactly are you suggesting?"

"Well, I don't know. There is that lake that's a couple of miles from you home. No one would be there to interrupt us. We could go swimming."

"We could?" Gohan really wanted to go swimming with her. Just the two of them. Barely dressed. He could hardly contain his reaction, emotional and physical. However, his logical human side was still at war with his more primal Saiyan instincts. Like the ones telling him his woman wants him and it's time for him to take her.

"Sure we could. Your mom told me she and Goten were going shopping. Your dad was going along to help carry the bags and to make sure she bought his favorite cereal. You know how he loves Captain Crunch."

"That's true. He always gets upset when Mom doesn't buy it for him." Gohan still struggles to not seem so eager, but not wanting to seem uninterested as well.

"So that leaves your house empty and no one around for miles. It would just be the two of us. Alone. Now how does that sound?"

"It sounds great, but what about our class?"

"Gohan, we're teenagers. This is what teenagers do. Cut class to make out. It's not like either of us is failing biology. Missing one class is not so bad. Plus we could always claim we were off fighting crime or something. Please say yes Gohan. I need this. We need this."

Gohan decided to forget his training ingrained at birth from an overprotective mother and threw caution to the wind. "Why not! This is a perfect day for a swim. Let's go!" With that the two lovebirds flew off toward the lake unaware that there may be a crimp in their plans.

Meanwhile, at the supermarket Chi Chi was giving her husband a piece of her mind.

"Aw, come on Chi. What's wrong with 100 bags of M&Ms? I won't give any to Goten. They're just for me."

"Honestly Goku, do you think I even want those in my house? If Goten or Trunks found that bag, there'd be no stopping them. So put the bags back, NOW!"

"Yes ma'am." Goku couldn't believe how stubborn Chi Chi was being. Oh wait. Yes he could, but she used to let him have candy in the house before. It was never a problem when Gohan was little. But then Goten is a completely different child. Gohan never touched his father's secret stash. Goten on the other hand wouldn't let the candy reach the house before he devoured it.

"How about a few Snickers bars?"

"No Goku."

"Some lollipops?"

"No Goku."

"Some potato chips?"

"NO Goku! Now stop it! And since when do you eat that much junk food?"

"Since I was gone for seven years and they don't have any junk food in Other World."

"Well that's not my problem. There will be NO junk food in my house! Is that understood?"

"Yes Chi, but what about …"

Exasperated, Chi Chi screams in frustration "ENOUGH! Go home! Now! And take these capsules with you. It's our food for the week. Store them in the kitchen."

She hands him the capsules and notices the Vegeta like smirk on his face. Even though it was rather attractive on him, she couldn't allow him to think he was getting away with something. "Don't even think of opening them. Bulma's installed Saiyan proof locks so don't get any ideas. Now I'm going to pick Goten up at the arcade. I can maybe pick out some clothes for him without you driving me crazy. I think I can only handle one Saiyan male per shopping trip."

"OK Chi. I'll head on home. See ya."

Goku left Chi Chi to finish shopping and started for home. He couldn't believe how strongly she reacted. Oh well, he figured maybe not being around for seven years made her even grouchier. Oops. Well, he decided that he better do what she says. She might withhold food if he didn't. However, he'd see that he got his way later that night, in the bedroom.

After arriving home and not being able to open the capsule, Goku put the food away. With some free time on his hands, Goku considered his options. Should he go out to Kame House and visit with Krillen and his family or go to West City and spar with Vegeta in the Gravity Room? Sparring with Vegeta sounded good to him. Just as he was about to Instant Transmission himself to West City, he picked up Gohan and Videl's ki. Goku decided that Gohan would be the better sparring partner, especially if he was little frustrated about his lack of loving from Videl. Teenagers, who knows what goes on with them. With that, Goku decided to transport himself to their location. Popping up like he did, Goku was unprepared for the sight that greeted him by the lake.
