"Nuevas Eridas…Viejos Recuerdos"

My ordeal, that is what my life is or at least has come to. Most women dream of a man that will bend over backwards trying to appease them, I, however never wanted that or maybe I did at some point. Instead I dreamed of a man that would challenge me, someone unwilling to bend over backwards and with a character. Although I'm afraid I might have gotten more than what I initially wanted. My husband, if you can call him that has been gone for three years in outer space hoping to reach a higher level of fighting. Upon his arrival I stupidly thought that it would be like before. How wrong was I to believe that he would humble himself so much as to stay with his family. If there is one thing that I am thankful for it is the fact that he has been a father to Trunks. Trunks was only four when Vegeta left of his trip to outer space. In those three years Trunks never forgot his father and would often ask and wonder about the many adventures his father must be having. It seems like time passes by as fast as a shooting star. Trunks is now ten and very handsome. During the past three years Vegeta has kept to himself. He asked my father to built him some sort of gravity machine with housing accommodations. I knew then that he wanted nothing to do with me. I was not about to reduce myself to begging, I did however hoped that he would not put a strain on his and Trunk's relationship and that he did not. Trunks trained with Vegeta every day and every day I would hear of how his tousan did this and that. I might see Vegeta occasionally when he comes by for technical support from my dad. It was hard the first couple of weeks even months but soon I learned how to manage. I had my little Trunks whom by now was not little anymore. In only a week he would be eleven. Where does the time go, truly?

Bulma Briefs was finishing decorating the entertainment room for Trunk's birthday party. It was the first time in almost four years that Trunks had had a birthday party. For the most part he would ask for a simple family gathering. Nonetheless Bulma realized that he was turning eleven and the prospect of a bunch of girls instead of a bunch of grown ups sounded more appealing. He was looking more and more like his father and his character was a clear mixture of her and his. It was almost eight and all she wanted to do was go to her room and fall on her bed. Although she knew that as long as Trunks was still out she wouldn't be able to go to sleep. True, he could take care of himself but in her eyes of a mother he was still a kid and not a Super Sayain. She finally heard the voice of Trunks outside and the giggles of her mom signaling the safe return of Trunks. She decided to let the balloons fall from her lap and call it a night. The morning was soon approaching and she would do a much better job refreshed. Bulma turned all the lights off and opened the doors of the veranda. She looked up at the stars but it wasn't too long before she felt his eyes on her. Somehow she had never gotten used to his ominous presence but learned to cope with it.

"What is it?" It was simple question that held no emotion.

"I need clothes for Trunk's spectacle." His response was firm and intimidating, simply Vegeta.

Bulma wasn't sure of what to do. It didn't surprise her too much really given the fact that Vegeta had always maintained it seemed a much better relationship with Trunks. The part that surprised her was that he would ask her for help.

"Um…right, well why don't you come with me, okay."

She was still surprised but suppressed all questions or any form of communication. Bulma had learned to close him out of her life and the best way to do that was to exclude him from her life. A hard task surely. Bulma lead him to what used to be their room but now only hers. She walked in first but Vegeta was the one to turn on the lights. It surprised her to realize that he still remembered then again he had spent a lot of time in that room when the title theirs had applied. Bulma walked into the closet while Vegeta sat on the couch and turned on the TV. She was quick to pick something not wanting him in her room any longer and as she walked out exhaled deeply and walked towards where he was. His eyes remained on the TV screen.

"There's still a some of your stuff in there so if you don't like this then you can pick something to your liking."

Vegeta shrugged his shoulders and continued to watch the TV. Bulma was unsure as to what to say. He was in her room lazily launching as though he had never left. Vegeta was a very abstract, no pragmatic man meaning every action had a deeper meaning to it but quite truthfully she was simply to tired to figure him out. Bulma's room had become an extremely private place not that it hadn't been but it was the one place where she could be private with no intruders. Even though Vegeta might occasionally walk in the grounds of Capsule Corp Bulma could not get used to it; maybe because she couldn't run up to him and pester the grumpy Sayain without any inhibitions. She took a small step forward but soon became more bold and stood in front of him.

"Vegeta are you planning on staying the night? Because if you are then there are many rooms down the hall."

Her voice although calm was firm, Vegeta only changed the channel.

"Vegeta! Please you can watch the TV. In the family room but I really have to go to sleep."

"What the hell is your problem, if you want to go sleep you don't have to announce it to the whole damn world."

His voice held a glint of amusement, something that Bulma could recognize a mile away.

"Vegeta I don't want you in my room because I don't want Trunks to get any ideas and seeing the two of us in my room will do that. He tends to come jumping in my room early in the morning."

Vegeta got up and picked up his clothes from the couch as he walked away but not before turning around.

"I'm impressed you are no longer a whiny brat. Finally earned the title Woman."

Bulma didn't give him another thought and went on to bed. The following day was very tiring from the time the sun rose to the time the moon showed its glowing face. She woke up to some unsuspected news. Bulma was about to get up and see what all the commotion in the hallway was about when Trunks came running into her room.

"Mon, mom dad, tousan, he is here…in here." Trunks managed to say between gasps.

Bulma smiled at her son's happiness but hoped that he wouldn't ask her why he stayed because she wouldn't know what to say.

"Honey, calm down you are going to wake the whole house."

Truks smiled sweetly at his mom and proceeded to calm down but not before Vegeta came barging in demanding to know what was going on. Bulma noticed her very uncomfortable son tugging lightly at her nightgown. She realized that the last thing he wanted was to look like a whip in his father's eyes and showing so much emotion might just do that.

"Oh, I'm sorry it's just that I kind of told him that my mom bought him a new computer for his birthday."

Trunks seemed to relax and excused himself from the room leaving his mom and dad alone. Bulma escorted him out of the room and closed the door locking her and Vegeta in. She looks at him and advanced a couple of steps making sure to keep an adequate amount of distance between the two.

"I guess you know why he was so happy….Vegeta…"
