It seemed like a night like any other. Bulma and ChiChi were getting ready to meet Yamcha and Vegeta downtown.
“ChiChi, it's been so long since we've been out together. Thanks for convincing me.” Bulma was adding the final touches to her makeup as Chichi nudged her way in front of the mirror.
“There was no way I wasn't going to let you not come. Besides, I don't know where we're supposed to meet them, and you do.” ChiChi laughed as Bulma playfully hit her.

“Oh, I see them ChiChi! I can't believe I've never been here before. Hi Yamcha! Hi Vegeta!” Bulma and ChiChi walked over to the table where an obviously drunk Yamcha stood up and introduced them to the two girls they were with.
“Anaka, Komito, This is roommate number three, ChiChi, and roommate number four, Bulma.” Yamcha went to sit down but Bulma did not like what she had just heard.
“Aaaaaaannnnnnnnnndddddd……” Bulma put her hands on her hips and glared at her drunk boyfriend.
“Oh yeah, and my girlfriend.” Yamcha waved it off as if it were nothing and immediately turned his attention back to Anaka.
Bulma sat down. She didn't think anything of this at first. She had a lot of guy friends and it would be hypocritical of her to get jealous over every girl Yamcha talked to. Besides, she kinda liked Anaka and Komito. She and ChiChi ordered a couple of drinks before the group moved to the pool hall down the street.

“Hahaha, Anaka, that's so true!” Yamcha had not taken his eyes off of her all night. Bulma really didn't like the way he was acting around that girl anymore. They had been at the coffee shop for half an hour now, supposedly trying to figure out what they were going to do even though they had already decided to go home.
“Okay everyone, I'm going home.” Bulma got out of her seat and began heading towards the door.
“Bulma, I think Vegeta and I are going to meet up with Goku instead and go to an all night club.” ChiChi knew something was wrong with her friend. She saw how she was glaring at Yamcha and felt bad for leaving her.
“Don't worry about it Chichi. If Yamcha ever decides to get up, I'll be going somewhere too.” Yamcha, finally getting the hint, got up.
“Bye Anaka, have a good night.” He gave her a hug and turned around to join Bulma on her was towards the bus stop, but she was already gone. He ran to catch up with her, but she only refused to talk to him all the way home.

“ChiChi, it wasn't just me, was it? I mean, you saw what I did, right?” Bulma had not been able to get her mind off of what had happened that night.
“Of course not Bulma, I saw it too. You need to talk to him.”
“I know ChiChi, I know. I will.” Bulma sighed and headed towards Yamcha's room.

“Uh, Yamcha, we need to talk about Friday night.” Bulma always got nervous while talking to Yamcha about things like this. They never went well.
“What about it?”
“Well, it's more about Anaka.”
“Is that what you were mad about?”
“Yeah.” Bulma didn't like where this was going.
“You know, you always do this! I can't talk to a girl without you getting jealous.”
“Yamcha, that's not true and you know it!”
“Bulma, she's just a friend and you have to accept that.”
“Whatever Yamcha.” Bulma stormed out of the room with tears in her eyes.

The next day, Bulma was lying in bed when a message popped up on her computer. It was from Yamcha.
“Bulma, we need to talk.”
Bulma could not hold back the tears as she knew what was coming. “Yeah,” she typed back.
“I think we need to get used to the idea of just being friends.”
And there it was. Two years, over just like that. All because of some girl. The rest of the conversation was a blur as Bulma sobbed alone in her bed.
