Chapter four:

Vegeta sat motionless while the doctors turned on a bright light. It amplified the emptiness in his eyes that were completely avoid of emotion. They were now just a pale shade of dark grey.

/Not here… gone…. EMPTY!!!!/ His mind reeled over these words in a loop, and he shivered slightly and wrapped the heavy blanket around him more securely.

“What is your name?” The doctor asked behind a glass window. They had to restrain him to this room because of his violent out break.

“Vegeta.” The fallen prince answered in a flat empty tone.

“How old are you, Vegeta?” The doctor looked at his clipboard that held what little information about him. The people that committed him had given them some info about this man, but he's not sure what to believe.

“Twenty… because Raditz would be twenty-five.”

The doctor frowned as Vegeta referred to Raditz again. The people that had come in, the one by the name of Goku, had informed him that Raditz is, in fact dead, and was his brother. Confirming that this person and Vegeta had been lovers was positive. Scribbling something down on his clipboard, he looked at his chart information that confused him the most:

Name: Vegeta
Sex: Male
Age: 30

“Memory loss.” The doctor mumbled. Well, he got one thing out of the way. “And, what do you remember? Do you remember what happened yesterday? Do you know the reason why you are here?”

The brunette's eyes shifted and he looked through his gray vision through the glass and into the face of the doctor. Did he remember? He didn't know. His head was starting to hurt, and he didn't want to be asked anymore confusing questions. He just wanted to sleep, or to be able to crawl into a hole and die. So, he shrugs.

Dr. Moran paused and tried to think of a question that would get through to Vegeta. He needed to break through to the very core, and he bit his lower lip, and fixed his glasses.

“Do you remember that Raditz is dead?”

The Saiyan snapped his head up and growled. Something inside him is suddenly awake and is now burning with red and anger.

“Raditz is NOT dead!!” He screamed.

The prince was fed up with hearing that! Raditz just isn't done with his mission yet, but he'll come back, just watch. He'll prove to them that he's not dad. Stupid humans.

“How do you know he's not dead?” The doctor asked hesitantly. It seemed to him that this particular person was a big key to getting through to him.

Vegeta thought he was going to puke, and he tucked his legs underneath himself, and covered his head with the blanket. He knows that Dr. Moran asked him a question he doesn't know how, or thinks he even can answer. Bastard! He silently wishes he had his tail so he could wrap it around his knees.

Dr. Moran sighed as Vegeta shied away. He needed to find a way to get him to open up. He needs to formulate a plan if he wanted to help Vegeta. He needed time to think, now.

“Vegeta, that's it for today's session.”

The prince didn't even blink as a nurse came into the room to help him back to his own room. Dragging his feet to his bed, he curled up onto the mattress with the covers over his head, and he wished that the empty feeling in his chest would go away.

“Raditz… isn't dead.” He muttered to himself over and over. In his mind something started changing and he heard a little pop and his ears started to ring, but he ignored it and continued to mumble.

“No, I'm not dead.”
