Looking Through Your Eyes

Goku and Chichi

Look at the sky, tell me what do you see

Just close your eyes and describe it to me

The heavens are sparkling with starlight tonight

That's what I see through your eyes

Chichi stepped out of their home and saw Goku looking up at the sky. “Hey, Goku, why don’t you come in to sleep?”

Goku looked back at his wife and smiled, “It’s just something you take for granted when you’re alive.” he pointed at the stars, “They sure are beautiful, huh, Chichi?”

Chichi smiled, “Yes, Goku, they’re lovely.” she walked up to him and stood by his side as she did since they were children.

Goku put his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to his side, “Not as lovely as you.”

I see the heavens each time that you smile

I hear your heartbeat just go on for miles

And suddenly I know why life is worthwhile

Chichi looked up at his smiling face, “I love that.”

“What?” he was confused, she could plainly see it.

“When you’re eyes sparkle. Whether it’s due to mischief or not, it’s the most beautiful sight I could ever set my eyes on.”

Goku smirked and kissed her gently, “Really?”

“Yea…and when we lay down at night.” she continued, “I love the sound of your heartbeat.”

Goku smirked wider, “Yea, it’s nice to have a heartbeat.” he leaned down and whispered, “But you Chichi, I wouldn’t give up for the world. You’d make it beat when I was a pile of ashes.”

Here in the night, I see the sun

Here in the dark, our two hearts are one

Its out of our hands, we can't stop what we have begun

And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes

Chichi turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. “So Goku, what are your plans for tomorrow? Gonna teach Goten a few more techniques?”

“Nah, I think training can wait a day.” Goku smirked and kissed her forehead, bringing her into his arms in a tight embrace only a Saiyan could give.

“Then what is it you will do?” she asked, breathing in his scent. God how she loved this man! Er…monkey…beast…Saiyan guy!

Goku smiled, “Spending the day with you. Maybe even sleep in and if you so much as even get up early, I’ll have to get up and drag you back to bed myself!” he chuckled as she smiled against his chest.

“That would be nice, huh?” she nuzzled at his chest a bit.

I see a night I wish could last forever

I see a world we're meant to see together

And it is so much more than I remember

More than I remember

Goku tilted her head up with a finger and kissed her gently. This was his pride along with their sons. He loved her so much.

At first, they didn’t even think that would ever happen. Well, Chichi did, Goku on the other hand didn’t have a clue!

But now, he couldn’t imagine living his life without her. He wanted the look on her face that she had now to last till his dying breath so he could smile at her all the time. Hell, he’d smile at death if he could see her face like this all the time.

Chichi didn’t remember the last time he held her like this. Maybe when Goten was born. Other than that…

And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes

They came a long way. Goku and Chichi. They loved each other more and more each day. It was their own fairytale.

With the happy ending, even if Goku died.

He came back.

And she didn’t want to let him go.

And he didn’t let her go.

They stood like that for the next few hours, just leaning against each other.
