I had fun mini vacation away from school because of the blizzard in my town (Feb. 16, 2003 - Feb. 17, 2003). That's how I got the time to write the story. I was so happy!

Ten Years Later…

Pan's POV

Silence fills the air. There was no sound in this night. Up above is a bright crescent moon in the dark sky. There's a vampire somewhere. I could feel it. Well, I guess they're not going feed because I'm going to stop them.

Hi. My name is Son Pan and I'm seventeen years. I'll be 18 in 4 and a half months. Well, I'm a girl from a long line of vampire hunters, except that I'm the only one left in my family. It happened when I was seven years old. My father had left a note when I woke up one morning. It said that my Uncle Goten was in trouble and my father and his father; my grandpa went to help him. They never came back.

My grandmother, Chi-Chi died one year later from a loss of my Grandpa Goku and mother, Videl died 3 years after grandma's death. So ever since I was eleven, I had lived by myself. Sometimes I thought I wanted to kill myself since I had no one left yet something kept me from doing the suicidal attempt.

Maybe I wanted to get revenge on all my family member's death. Maybe it was because there might be no one good enough to stop the vampires from increasing in its population. Or it could be my family's spirits keeping me from doing it and continue my purpose as a Son. Maybe…

I've always wanted to get revenge on the vampire who done this to my family and me. I made an oath to my family's grave.

I tried to forget the bad memory. I had duty to do right now…but it overwhelmed me and took over…

*******<Flashback>*******

I woke in the morning getting ready to train with my father, grandpa, and uncle as usual. But first it was breakfast! Hey a vampire hunter has to eat once in a while. Especially if that vampire hunter was a Son!

When I got into the kitchen I saw my mom and grandma Chi Chi. I saw that they had solemn expressions. My mom was holding a note.

"Mommy, what's wrong?" I asked. Silence. "Grandma?"

"Your father, uncle, and grandfather are missing. I can't feel Goku anymore. Neither Gohan nor Goten. I've lost my husband and both of my sons!" She said and started to sob. My mom did the same.

"I can't feel Gohan either." My mom replied and they both cried. My eyes widen in fear and I check their ki's. None. My father was gone…my uncle was gone…my grandpa was gone too…

They were all gone.

I looked on the doorstep and there was my dad and grandpa. Blood all over them. From cuts and spills. But my uncle wasn't there. I tried to sense his ki again, but there was none.

Tears were going to spill out of my eyes and I didn't want it to happen. I felt it was a sign f weakness. I flew straight into the forest. This was a place for me to think. My own thinking spot, I guess.

Slowly I sat on a boulder and try to not let my tears go. Then I heard a voice in my head.

"Pan it's all right." The gentle voice said. I recognized it as my father's. A second voice then came to my mind. "Don't strain yourself by holding back. Let your feeling out. It's all right to cry, Panny. We love you and your mom and grandma. Bye Panny." "Bye my daughter."

"Wait! Don't go!" I replied. No one answered back. No one.

Soon tears began flowing down my cheeks like a waterfall. I screamed loud for everyone to hear it and my ki skyrocketed as far as it could go…

I sighed and a few drops of tears came down. I miss you uncle, mother, father, grandma, and grandpa. I hope you have a good life in the Other World and wish me good luck with my life. I promise I will avenge your deaths. Somehow. Someway.

I unsheathed my dagger from its cover. The blade shined and I saw my reflection. I had midnight black eyes and pale skin. My raven hair was long and could drape down to my waist. It was in a ponytail at the moment. Note to self: Get a hair cut tomorrow.

I shield my mind from any predators and lowered my ki. I peeked in the alleyway and saw a girl there with a guy. I knew the girl was a vampire from the aura I felt. How foolish! She didn't even bother to hide her aura!

I went nearer hiding in the dark. The leech didn't even bother to check if anyone was there. Soon the female vampire slammed the male human on the brick wall and smiled seductively. He returned the smiled and they looked in each other's eyes. The vamp tucked a strand of her natural blonde hair behind her ear.

Soon she put both of her long slender hands around his neck. I could tell he was in her trance. "Too bad," she said. "You were kind of cute. Oh well too bad. My hunger's more important." And then I saw her canine teeth grow into pearly white dagger.

I was disgusted. Just when the leech was going to bite the innocent's neck, I took my chance and push her out. The man fell back unconscious. At least he was fine and won't remember anything.

The female leech glared at me with her green emerald eyes. "Who the hell are you!?" She asked.

"You don't want to know leech." I replied with a dagger in my hand. Soon she started to attack me. First with a punch, but I dodged it. This is going to be easy than I thought.

"Don't mess with me human. Once I kill you I'm going to drain you of your delicious blood." She said. She was way to cocky. I smirked and then threw a ki blast yet she dodged it.

"I'm not human. I'm a Saiyan. Quarter to be exact." I said and smirked again. It was true. The entire Son families had Saiyan blood and were Vampire Hunters. There weren't many left though. My mom wasn't a Saiyan and neither were my Grandmother. They were human. So I was a quarter Saiyan, but strong enough to defeat this leech of course.

I had too make this clean and quick. When she tried to punch me, I did a flip and was at her back.

"You should watch your back vamp." I said. She turned around and gasped when I pressed the dagger in her chest, where her heart was located. If she had a heart that is. I pulled the dagger out and it was dripping of the vampire's cold blood. I watched and she then exploded into dust. The dust then disappeared in the wind.

Usually I always kill a vampire by stabbing their heart. That's one of a vampire's weaknesses. Yet some vampires couldn't be killed by that way. And those were the really strong ones too. And I mean really strong.

"Quick, Clean, and Easy. That's my model." I said happily and I wiped the blood on my dagger off with my jeans. I then slowly walked to the unconscious man just to see if he was all right. I placed two of fingers on the pulse on his neck. "Good. You're all right."

Then I heard clapping. Clapping?

Someone was out here. But why wasn't I able to notice it? I turned around and looked into the darkness of the alley. Of course I couldn't see anything, but I knew something-or someone was out there. I felt a faint dark aura. They were hiding it. I could tell. From childhood, I had been taught how to read ki's and auras. Vampire didn't have ki's since they were undead yet I could still tell by their auras. I was also taught how to tell if they were hiding it or not. The mysterious stranger was definitely hiding it. He was also a vampire.

He still clapped.

"Who's out there?" I called. No answer. Just more clapping. "Answer me, damn you!" I yelled angrily and my ki rose a little bit. Then I heard the stranger laugh. Laughing at me that is.

"Watch your language, Panny." His smooth sexy voice said. I gasped. How did he know my name?

<I guess you'll have to find that out later.> I realized that I had let my guard down and I shield my mind. I took a step closer. He let his whole aura show. It was so powerful, dark, and overwhelming. I never met any vampire like him.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked.

<Wouldn't you like to know girl?> He answered and broke the shield covering my mind and I staggered back a bit from the force. But how? He was powerful enough to get through it. He then pushed me back with his power and I pathetically fell to the ground. I slowly got up. "Who are you?" I asked again my anger rising even more. He was playing with me and I could tell he thought it was amusing.

"You'll find out soon enough. I see you have killed Kana. She was weak. But I did enjoy the fighting scene, especially the kill. I've watched you along time. Since you were a child actually. You've grown to a beautiful woman." He said and I blushed for some reason. I never blushed since I was a child. Why was I doing it now? "I'm hear to offer you something."

"Whatever it is, I don't want it." I said.

"You don't even know what it was."

"I don't care. I still wouldn't want anything from an evil leech like you has to offer," I said getting annoyed with this conversation. I would have left minutes ago, but I can't turn my back to a vampire. Especially this one.

"Hmm…how about this. I can help you locate your uncle." I gasped. That was impossible! My Uncle Goten was dead. His ki signature was gone from this planet and isn't anywhere to be found. I've searched before. No Goten.

"That's a lie! Goten is dead."

"Not exactly. Have you ever consider that maybe someone was hiding both your ki signatures from each other? Maybe that someone is me, you know." He chuckled. But really. Could he or someone else hid our ki from each other so we assumed each other was dead? That could be it. Maybe there's hope…but I can't trust him. I'll have to find another way!

"You would really find him for me?" I asked calmly.

"Pan, Pan, Pan. I would really do this for you. But it's not for free. There's a price." He replied mischievously and I knew he was smirking in that unknown darkness.

"For Pete's sake! There's always a damn price!" I yelled furiously. "But what kind of price, exactly?"

"I'll tell you later. He stepped out and I saw that he was wearing a black robe with a hood that covered his face. The next thing I knew, he took my hand and placed a kiss on it. I flushed.

The vampire then stood up and turned around. "Until we meet again…Pan." I twitched.

Finally he turned around and disappeared from my sight, but enough for me to catch a hint of lavender.
