Love Conquers All

Chapter 5

'Where could they be?' Mihaeda wondered. Her cousin Bulma and Marita had been gone for 24 hours and there hadn't been any sign of her. Vegeta & Dayis were nowhere to be found either. 'Not even my ESP can locate them.'

Bulma awoke to the sun shining in her eyes, Vegeta was lying beside her, watching her.

"Morning," he whispered.

"Ohayo, Vegeta-chan" she replied, speaking Saiyan again. "Ogenki deska?"

Vegeta laughed, noticing what she was doing. "Fine," he answered. "You?"

"Pretty good, actually."

"I'll bet," he said with a chuckle.

"Hey, that's not very nice, you know," she said sarcastically as she got dressed, noticing that Vegeta had already put his armor back on.

"I know," he replied, throwing her sarcasm right back at her just before he scooped her up in his arms and kissed her, as they levitated off the ground and flew off, heading straight for Capsule Corp.

Bulma immediately leaned into Vegeta's kiss, letting her mental guard down, completely unaware that her inquisitive cousin was looking for her.

"Found her!" Mihaeda cried out suddenly. "And...VEGETA?! KISSING?!?! What in the cosmos is going on here?!" From the corner of her eye, Miheada saw Regirta and Ashleigh giving each other a high five.

On the other side of the world, Marita and Dayis were just finishing up their breakfast. Marita had gone off hunting, since she knew her way around the planet better and knew which animals were good to eat, and had come back with a zebra. The taste was excellent, making Dayis positive that he had truly

found the perfect mate.

"We should head back," Marita said after frying the remains with a ki blast. "Kakarot and the others are probably worried. And I'll bet anything those 'others' don't include Vegeta and Bulma."

"Yeah, I know," Dayis replied with a laugh. He kissed her, penetrating her mouth with his tongue. She allowed this, as she just couldn't resist his advances. After two minutes, they separated.

"There. Ya satisfied?" Marita said with fake disgust. "Can we go now?"

"Sure," Dayis replied, and the two Saiyans blasted off in the direction of Capsule Corp.

"Why are you two so happy about Vegeta and Bulma kissing?" Mihaeda inquired of Regirta. Turning to Ashleigh, she asked, "Are you involved? Did you set this up? Are you responsible for Tao's attack?"

"No," said Ashleigh. "All I did was make sure that Vegeta and Dayis went after them instead of Regirta. Those two were destined to be; Unmei, the keeper of fate, told me so. Plus I knew that anyway. And I've made sure that Unmei makes a certain event happen when it's supposed to."

"Why?"

"Because if it didn't happen, the kid from the future wouldn't have been able to come here to warn us about the androids. In fact he would've never even existed."

"I see...," said Mihaeda slowly.

"Yes, so I made sure that didn't happen," Ashleigh continued. "Besides, I think the guy's cute, and I don't want him to become a mere memory."

"Yeah, and besides, Vegeta has always liked Bulma," added the ever-resourceful Regirta. Remember what he did for her back on Andromeda?"

"Well, since you put it that way," Mihaeda said.

"Plus, carrying out this little plan of Ashleigh's has made the two of us friends. We even made sure that it got Dayis and Marita together as well. Now we won't have to listen to Bulma and Vegeta argue as much. Or Dayis and Marita."

"Well, since you put it that way, I guess it's alright," said Mihaeda. "I just hope that Vegeta doesn't abuse Bulma's body the way Yamcha did."

"He won't," Regirta assured. "Believe me, he WON'T!"

"There's Capsule Corp., said Bulma. "And...Mihaeda? What's she doing here? She can't have been worried; she knows I can take care of myself."

"So I've seen," Vegeta replied with a smirk.

"Keep talking like that and you won't have another session with me for a long time, bud."

"Oh, I wouldn't say that if I were you," Vegeta said, chuckling. "I'm irresistible and unrefusable."

"Yeah, well so am I," replied Bulma as they landed.

"And just where have you two been?" Mihaeda asked them. As the two began explaining, Bulma saw a definite smile on Ashleigh's face.

"Guess I was wrong about Vegeta and Bulma not waiting for us," said Marita. "There they are right there."

"Yes, but you can tell by the way Mihaeda is acting that they have only just arrived," Dayis replied. "And I'll bet anything we're gonna get the same treatment."

"We'd better brace ourselves then," laughed Marita, as the two of them landed.

"It's pretty easy for me to guess what you two were up to," said Regirta as Ashe came towards them.

"You mean you knew?" asked Marita.

"Of course," replied her sister matter-of-factly. "It was pretty obvious when you didn't come back right away. Plus I knew it was only a matter of time before you two got together. Your desire for each other was only too obvious."

"EXCUSE ME?!?!?!" shouted Dayis angrily.

"I guess you're getting the same treatment we did."

Marita turned to see Vegeta and Bulma coming towards them.

"We got the same thing you just got when we returned," Bulma continued.

"And apparently Regirta & Ashleigh set up the whole thing. Except for the General Tao attack, of course."

"SAY WHAT?!?!?!?!" screamed Dayis.

"Oh, you two are impossible," Marita said, disgusted. "I can see why you are so close; you're exactly alike. If personality was an ID, no one would be able to tell you apart."

"Yeah? Speak for yourself, sis!" Regirta shouted. "You and Dayis are so much alike it's not even funny! Your attitudes make it impossible to tell who's WHO!"

"JUST SHUT UP, REGIRTA!" screamed Marita, balling her fists. "Look, you got what you wanted; we're an item now. You TOYED with us, and now it's payback time."

"HOLD IT!" Ashleigh yelled. "This whole escapade was just to make the inevitable happen sooner. As you know, I know everything that's gonna happen to you in life. You guys pairing up the way you did was going to happen; I just changed the circumstances. It would have happened even if I hadn't interfered. Be grateful I gave you this opportunity to show your feelings and not 'appear to be weak', since that means so much to you."

"She's right; it does," said Regirta.

"Oh, FINE," said Marita grudgingly, jumping into a tree and sitting down on a branch. Vegeta and Dayis were still glaring at the two culprits.

Puh-leeeeaaaase, you two," said Bulma, flying up to sit next to Marita. "Can we move on now? It's over."

"Oh, very well," said Vegeta, turning towards her.

"Good. Now then, Mihaeda, go on home; I'm sure Tien is having trouble controlling that kid of yours, if Andrena is as wild as you say she is. Goku, YOU go home and train Gohan. Regirta & Ashleigh, get your rears in gear and start preparing for those Androids NOW!!!!!"

Goku said goodbye and took off for his home. Regirta & Ashleigh then left to continue training. Mihaeda stalled a bit, but a glare from Bulma made her leave as well. 'I'm glad that the Doc & his wife are in America," Mihaeda thought. 'Who knows what might've happened otherwise.'

"Now that they're gone, don't you think that you two should get back to training?" Bulma asked the three remaining Saiyans. "Last time I checked, you didn't much done yesterday due to some 'imprecidented events'."

"We'd better do so; she's about to go into meltdown major," Marita said as she & Dayis flew towards Marita's gravity simulator. A few minutes later, Bulma and Vegeta could hear the sounds of fighting coming from the chamber.

"Try to stay out of trouble, if you don't mind," said Vegeta as he strolled off towards his gravity chamber.

"Oh, don't worry; I will," said Bulma. Satisfied, Vegeta entered the room and began making up for lost time. Bulma turned and ran into the house, thankful that Dr. & Mrs. Brief were not around.

"Well, we did it," Regirta whispered while watching Bulma go inside. "I guess we won't have to worry about them anymore."

"Yep," Ashleigh replied. "I guess it's true what they say."

"What is?"

"'Love Conquers All'."

Snickering, the two flew off, unaware of the fact that all of their hard work may have saved the lives of everyone on Earth.
