And I never gave up

And it was nothing

I sacrificed and I gave my life

And I kept my hope

And it was nothing

I despaired and I raged and I hated and I hurt

And I even wept once

And it was nothing

So why was I ever even given this life

And made to suffer through the pain

Just to be nothing

Why was I born and given this chance

And given this name

If I am nothing

I fight and I fight and I fail and I fail

And I finally know

That I am nothing

And I gave my strength and I gave my life

And I gave my heart

When I am nothing

And now you look at me and expect me to say

That I love you

But I have nothing

I fail my heart and I fail my love

And I fail you

For I am nothing
