Key: This is going to be like a play… most of my stories are dialogue anyhow. If a person is thinking it, it will be in parentheses. If a person is speaking telepathically, it will be in pound signs. The chapters will be dived by acts consisting of scenes. Got it? Good.

Setup: Piccolo has been wandering Earth for five years after Cell… trying to find his life's purpose. No one of the Z squad has seen him since Goku's death, not even Gohan.

Act XXX: Look Into the Hourglass







Scene I: Fifteen years later…


Aria is now eighteen. She is beautiful. She has long brown hair put in a braid. Her light green skin contrasts with her brown eyes and hair. She is a perfectly shaped woman and she wears a purple gi like her father. She has been best friends with Goten but her parents haven't told her about the Lord of Darkness.

Kim: Aria, please come inside.

Aria: Mother, why is it you get to lead a normal life while I am stuck in this dump?

Kim: My life is anything but normal and this is not a dump.

Aria: I can't even go over to Goten's! I mean he always has to come here. Why do you and father always keep me under lock and key?

Piccolo: For your protection. Sit… it is time we told you something.

Aria: What is it? {sits on the couch demurely}

Kim: When you were just a baby… men attacked and tried to kill you.

Piccolo: You are considered the impossible child. The child of a Namek.

Kim: So there is a prophecy that you will destroy the Lord of Darkness so he tried to have you killed.

Piccolo: Now, he is supposed to try again.

Aria: Are you saying some evil force wants me dead?

Piccolo: Yes.

Aria: {laughs} You've got to be kidding me! That's absurd!

Kim: We're serious… that's why you need to stay on guard.

At that moment, the house explodes sending Kim into unconsciousness. Piccolo stands from the rubble, bloody. Aria is beside her father, helping him up. They look up to see Nexxus floating above them.

Piccolo: #Kim? Kim?#

Aria: Who are you?

Nexxus: So we finally meet… Namek brat.

Piccolo: Nexxus… #Kim! Are you alright?#

Aria: Mother… {looks back trying to sense her mother}

Nexxus: Child… you should worry about yourself.

Piccolo: Why you! {powers up}

Nexxus: Please calm down, getting all huffy can make me do something I might regret. {aims blast for rubble of house}

Piccolo: Aria, find your mother and get out of here.

Nexxus: Oh it won't be so easy! {appears behind Aria and grabs her}

Aria: Hey! It isn't polite to grab a lady there! {flips out of Nexxus' grasp}

Nexxus: You are strong… show me your power.

Aria: Whatever. {powers up to a power less than her father}

Nexxus: Oh come on. I know you have more power than that.

Piccolo: Aria… stop…

Aria: Sorry father but this jerk hurt mom so I'm going to show him a thing or two! {powers up even more}

Nexxus: Oh, lovely. What power!

Aria: {starts to attack} You stay away from my parents!

Nexxus: {retreats, his white robes flapping as he easily moves away from each attack} If you come with me, I will leave everyone on this planet alone.

Aria: Yeah right. You work for a guy called the Lord of Darkness and you expect me to believe you'll just let everyone live.

Vegeta comes flying in and knocks Nexxus to the ground.

Vegeta: So he actually showed up?

Aria: You knew too!

Nexxus: Now, I'm angry. {smirks} So you will not join us, Aria?

Aria: Of course not.

Nexxus: {appears in front of her} Too bad.

Piccolo: Aria! Look out!

Nexxus: {knocks Aria to the ground and holds her fast} You would have made a great queen for our lord. {his eyes glow}

Aria: {stares into the hourglass eyes entranced} What's happening? I can't move.

Piccolo: Aria! {runs towards Nexxus, but gets knocked away}

Aria: Father!

Nexxus: It is time we got rid of you. {a light flashes and Aria disappears}

Vegeta: YOU! You killed her! {uses Final Flash}

Nexxus: {opens his arms out to accept the blast} Now you will never get her back. {dies}

Piccolo: ARIA!!!!

Vegeta: Where's Kim?

Piccolo: I can't find her. She has to be in the rubble somewhere.

Vegeta: I'll help you look. {starts picking up pieces of the house}

Piccolo: {a tear rolls down his cheek} Thank you. {starts moving aside the rubble}

Vegeta: That guy got into our heads… we couldn't do anymore.

Piccolo: Tell that to Kim when I have to explain what happened.

Vegeta: We can use the dragonballs.

Piccolo: I know… #Kim? Where are you?#

Kim: #Owie… it hurts.#

Piccolo: #Oh thank Kami!#

Kim: {moves the rubble off of her} I feel like I broke every bone in my body eight times over.

Piccolo: Don't move, Kim.

Kim: Where's Aria?

Piccolo: Nexxus got her. I'm sorry, Kim. I couldn't do anything.

Kim: Aria… she's dead?

Vegeta: Don't worry… we'll get the dragonballs and wish her back.

Piccolo: First, we got to get you to Dende.

Kim: But… Aria… {Piccolo picks her up} Ow! Damn!

Piccolo: Sorry.

Vegeta: I'll go get the radar and the dragonballs.

Kim: Thanks, Geta.

Vegeta flies off and Piccolo and Kim head to Dende's Lookout.

Kim: Piccolo, it's not your fault. We tried. We did… we'll get her back.

Piccolo: I know.






Scene II: ?????


Aria sits up. Every part of her aches. She rubs her eyes trying to get her vision back. The white blur finally clears and she sees she is in a forest.

Aria: Is this the afterworld or what? Maybe I can meet Shin…

Aria stands and finds out that it is very painful to do that. She plops back down in the dirt path.

Aria: (Now, I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to hurt when you're dead.)

Aria looks up at the blue sky.

Aria: (It looks like home… It isn't any different. Maybe I didn't die.)

Aria tries to stand again. The pain is bearable this time so she stays standing.

Aria: Hello? Anyone here????

Her voice carries through the breeze. Her brown eyes quickly surveyed her surroundings. Her pointed ears perk up and she listens for any sounds. She can tell there are people, maybe a town a short distance away.

Aria: (It will be easier to fly but I… if I am still alive I wouldn't want to scare people.) Like my looks wouldn't scare them enough.

She slowly makes her way towards the setting sun. Each step sends a jolt of pain up her spine.

Aria: Where am I!?!?!?





Scene III: The Lookout


The dragon has been summon and Kim has been healed.

Kim: Please Shenlong, grant my wish. Bring my daughter, Aria, back to life.

Shenlong: I would grant anything in my power but I cannot bring her back to life.

Kim: WHAT? Why? Please Shenlong!!!!

Shenlong: She is not dead. Or at least she is not in the afterworld.

Vegeta: Then where is she?

Shenlong: That I do not know. At least not exactly.

Piccolo: Explain! I mean it!

Shenlong: She is not in this dimension.

Kim: Oh God! He sent her to another dimension!!!! Then I wish for you to bring her back to this dimension.

Shenlong: I cannot… this dimension is not within my power to reach.

Kim: No! You mean she is stuck in my… wait… she's not in my dimension is she?

Shenlong: No, it is another dimension.

Kim: Is there anyway to get her back?

Shenlong: Not in this world.

Kim: So maybe she can find a way back in the dimension she is in?

Shenlong: That is a possibility. Do you have another wish?

Kim: No… I just want my baby back.

Shenlong: Then I must be going. {disappears and balls scatter}

Piccolo: Now what? We just wait! Like hell! I am going to find a way to get her back. If Nexxus could send her, his people must know a way to get her back.

Vegeta: Impossible… he was the last of the Cronas.

Kim: Then we will just have to pray and wait.

Piccolo: I cannot. I will search the galaxies for a way to get her back!
