Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Power, Wisdom and Courage ❯ Kokiri Forest ( Chapter 1 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Author's Notes:

This is just a little information on my story...its pure DBZ but in a Zelda world. The characters are probably going to be out of character but nothing too drastic, I'll say the most would be Kakarott, because he isnt too stupid in this fic. There are also a few things I would like to point out, if any of you have ever played Zelda: The Ocarina of Time thats where I got this idea. But as I said there a few changes from the game, the princesses rule the triforce parts...Bulma: courage(I know that sounds weird and you probably think she should be wisdom but I really wanted to make her courage), Chichi: wisdom, and Juuhachi: power(they all fight in the fanfic so dont think that having a certain triforce part makes that change) The parts are inside of them and they each own a gem that shows that they do. Oh and there is a ruler of the Kokiri Forest but the kokiri still like worship the Deku Tree or whatever. Also the reason Bulma grows is because she isnt pure Kokiri she is half Hylian. Oh and one more thing...Ganondorf has returned and hes got twin sons(yamcha & Andrew) and a nephew named Tristan...I know that sounds really weird to those who know about the Gerudos but for this fic he has to have them! Ok well on with the story I hope you enjoy and please R&R and flames are welcome but just dont bitch me out for something little, for example something YOU dont like because its MY fanfic not yours and the decision is mine! Thank You!

Disclaimer: I do not own DBZ or the Nintendo64 game Zelda: The Ocarina of time, but if I did you can bet I would make Vegeta and Link both my men, lol...anyways on with the story!

Chapter 1: The Kokiri Forest

A soft tune floated from within the Kokiri Forest. Sitting on a little stump sat thirteen year old, Princess Bulma, the next ruler of the forest. She softly played on her ocarina to the Great Deku Tree who smiled in response. Her emarald gem of the forest flowed across her forehead and stopped in the middle, the leaf shaped gem sparkled in the sun as she swayed side to side. She wore a green tunic just like all her fellow kokiri.

Bulma stopped playing and opened her crystal blue eyes, that had been closed in concentration during her performance, and swept a stand of aqua hair behind her left pointy ear.

"Excellent, Princess," The Great Deku Tree commented.

She blushed and stood up, she was five feet tall, which was only a couple of inches taller than the other kokiri.

"Thank you, Great Deku Tree," she gave a slight curtsy and then a little giggle.

On her back was a Deku Shield, and the kokiri sword. She was very different from other kokiri, she longed for adventure, while most of the other forest children didnt want to leave the forest. Well actually they weren't suppose to but her father always did and she was to be Queen someday, so she thought that was the reason for her different feelings.

The Great Deku Tree smiled, "Are you still wishing to leave the forest?"

At the question Bulma's young eyes sparkled with excitement, "Yes! Soon I am going to take a journey around Hyrule and all the other places, and show everyone the Kokiri Princess has no fear of danger!"

She clasped her hands together and started to daydream of her adventures, when she heard a ruffling sound from behind her and she quickly turned. She smiled at who she saw, standing with his arms crossed over his chest, was her fifteen year old protector Kakarott of Hyrule. He stood with a slight glare in his raven eyes and shook his head slightly causing his hair, that jetted in all directions, to shake a little. He was five foot six inches tall and he wore a green tunic that matched hers.

"Your Majesty, your father is very angry. Why were you not at the Banquet at the Forest Temple your father threw for the kokiri?" He asked and put his hands on his hips to wait for her answer.

The Princess' eyes shot open, "Oh no! I forgot!"

She grabbed her ocarina and shoved it in its leather holder and shot off past Kakarott to go to the Forest temple.

Kakarott turned to leave but stopped as the Great Deku Tree, demanded him to. He bowed to it and waited for his words.

"Watch the Princess carefully, I sense a great danger, do not let her out of your sight...and make sure the Kokiri Emerald stays only in her hands. If the evil ones who have come for it get their hands on it, it could be the end of this world..." The Great Deku Tree gave him a stern look to show he meant buisness.

"I understand Great Deku Tree, but Bulma is very..." He was cut off by The Great Deku Tree.

"Independant...yes I know...but do as I say Kakarott, its for her own good!" with that he shut him eyes to show that the conversation was over.

Kakarott slowly turned around and followed the path away from The Great Deku Tree's Meadow, he climbed up to the Lost Woods and carefully made his way to the Forest Temple.

"Father! Father!" Bulma cried as she raced up to the main room of the Temple.

The King turned his head so he was facing her direction, "Bulma, where have you been?!"

"Please forgive me father, I was talking with The Great Deku Tree and I lost track of time," she did not take a step back even though most people would when her father was angry, for he had a deep booming voice, but King Oak(A/N: original huh?...lol ok back to the story...) had always admired his daughter's courage.

The King's anger quickly faded, for he could not stay mad at her for long, "I forgive you, my daughter, but do hurry and get dressed, the Banquet here is through but I am going to discuss some buisness with the King of Hyrule, and I have decided you are old enough to come along."

Bulma nodded eagerly, she was so happy her father was giving her this great privilege. She ran off into the West Wing, where her room was located. She had almost reached her chambers, but she stopped and rolled her eyes, standing in front of her was Yamcha, he stood five foot eight inches and his father was Ganondorf.

Ganondorf was defeated by her very distant relative, but returned from the Evil Void somehow, claiming he had changed. He might have fooled every in the Kokiri Forest, but definately not her.

"Hello, Princess," Yamcha's cold voice shot through her head causing her to shiver.

"Good Afternoon, Yamcha, please let me pass my father wishes me to hurry," Bulma said trying to remain calm and she tried to sidestep him, but he just blocked her way.

"Yes I know, my cousin Tristan is at the Hyrule Castle, speaking of which your father is allowing me to go..." Yamcha snickered and started to get closer to Bulma, and he continued, "maybe while we are there, you and I can become a little more aquainted."

"I doubt that!"

Bulma turned and Yamcha stood up and looked to see Kakarott heading toward them quickly. Bulma sighed and walked back to meet him half way.

"Thanks, Goku," Bulma said as she smiled up at him.

*******************************************

"Goku" was Bulma's nickname for Kakarott. When she was five and he was seven, he became her protector. They despised each other. To Bulma, Kakarott was a nuisince. She believed she did not need him and that she could take care of herself. To Kakarott, Bulma was a stuck up brat. He did not want to have to watch someone like her.

A few months after they had met each other, they had yet another one of their huge fights. She ran away from him, but since she was so angry she wasn't watching where she was going and she accidently feel into a deep pool of water. Being the tender age of five she had not learned how to swim yet, and no one was around to hear her cries, she soon lost conciousness.

When she came too, she was on the ground and Kakarott was kneeling next to her with a worried expression on his face. She smiled and thanked him, telling him that maybe it wouldn't be too bad having him around, and he told her she could call him "Goku" and since that day they were inseparable.

Kakarott grabbed her arm gently and pushed past Yamcha and they entered Bulma's bed chamber. He let go and plopped down on her bed while she sat in front of her vanity, decorated with golden leaves, and brushed her shoulder length aqua hair.

"Goku?" she turned toward him with questioning eyes, "what's Hyrule like?"

Kakarott shruged, "I haven't been there since I was seven that was eight years ago."

Princess Bulma turned back to her mirror and smiled, "Maybe we will meet some new friends!"

She put on her dark green cloak making sure the hood was over her head securely, and headed out of her room followed closely by Kakarott.
