Chapter seven
"What do you mean I can't come along?" Kakarot asked, watching as his master got dressed in his formal armor.
"I'll be back shortly. I don't want you to get yourself hurt, which will happen if you go after waving that musk of yours around." Vegeta explained, pulling on his gloves.
"What am I supposed to do while you're gone?"
Vegeta rolled his eyes. "I don't know, Kakarot. Your father is down in the labs, but if you go down there, you'll have to stay down there."
Kakarot scratched his head nervously. "I'm not sure if my father would want to see me."
"He would. He's assumed you were dead for seventeen years. It would be a treat to see you." Vegeta explained.
Kakarot dressed quickly, wearing armor much like Vegeta's, with royal blue spandex. His identification band sat over the spandex, signifying his status.
Vegeta was escorting his concubine to the labs when he saw someone out of the corner of his eye.
Zarbon.
He looked over at Kakarot, noticing his his tail swayed behind him instead of wrapping around his waist. He was spreading that smell everywhere.
Zarbon had been a part of Frieza's army while Vegeta was still in it. Granted, Vegeta was barely a toddler, but he was an extremely strong Saiyan, even then. Zarbon was notorious for raping the other armsmen, especially after they were already weak from a mission.
The Saiyans had accepted a treaty with his race after Frieza's defeat.
The guy still gave Vegeta the willies. He knew Zarbon had seen Kakarot, so he'd have to keep his distance.
As Vegeta entered the lab, he greeted Bardock. "I brought someone that I thought you'd want to see."
Bardock laid eyes on his son, nearly an exact clone of himself. He couldn't believe how closely his son resembled himself.
While Kakarot and Bardock got comfortable, Vegeta snuck out to head to the throne room to greet Zarbon.
----
Bardock turned to the boy he now knew as his youngest son. He knew that the boy was masking his power level, something no one else would have noticed. The boy wasn't this weakling that Vegeta thought he was, but for some reason, he didn't want the prince, or anyone for that matter, to sense how strong he was.
"How long do you think you can hide from Vegeta?" Bardock asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
Looking at his father was weird. Kakarot saw how similar they looked, and the only thing distinguishing them was the scar on his sire's cheek. "I'm not hiding, sir. Vegeta and I have become close."
Bardock rolled his eyes dramatically. "You know that's not what I'm talking about." He walked to his son, pushing him aside to look at something thrown about the desk. "You're masking your power level. Others won't notice, but I've reached legendary level, and I can pick up on it far more easily."
Kakarot's eyes widened, and then he looked down to his feet. "I had to when I was a slave. If I didn't, and the master noticed how strong I was, they'd either beat me or starve me to try and weaken me. It was too much of a risk to have a slave that was stronger than them."
Bardock nodded. "Self preservation, I see." He turned to look at the nervous boy. "Vegeta is not like your other masters. He would not have gone through the trouble he had if he didn't think highly of you."
Kakarot said nothing.
"That being said," Bardock paused. "The prince does not like being deceived."
Kakarot tensed. "I could guess that. I just don't want to press my luck."
"Well, waiting for him to guess isn't going to go well for you." Bardock told him, chuckling. "Just how strong are you, boy?"
----
Vegeta entered the throne room to be met directly by the reptile man talking to his father, sharing jokes as if they'd never had bad blood.
"How nice of you to join us, son." The king smiled at his son, beckoning him closer.
Vegeta bowed respectfully. "Good evening, Zarbon. What brings you around this part of the galaxy?"
Zarbon chuckled, tossing his green braid to the side. "I'm on my way home from a trip, and I figured I'd stop to entertain myself while I restock the ship."
"Entertain yourself?" Vegeta asked.
The king scoffed. "Don't be rude, Vegeta. He's asked for access to our harem."
Vegeta nodded. As long as the snake stayed the fuck away from Kakarot, he didn't care who he fucked. "Very well."
"Actually, Lord Vegeta," Zarbon addressed the king. "I saw a beautiful specimen walking down her to meet you. He was wearing a wristlet of the royal crest. Is he part of your harem?"
Vegeta felt his blood run cold. What was this fucker thinking? He had to be talking about Kakarot. No other whore wandered the halls.
"I'm afraid not. He's my son's personal concubine." the king explained.
"Such a shame. I would have been honored to have him warm my bed tonight. His heat is in full swing, he wouldn't tire near as quickly." Zarbon said, flashing a sinister smirk at the prince.
"I'm sure Vegeta would be able to go without him for one night." The king looked over to his son.
"No, I purchased him to be my personal concubine. I will not have someone else bedding what's mine." Vegeta snarled.
"Vegeta, it was not about getting your permission, boy." the king snapped. "You will allow Zarbon to use your toy for the night. You will learn to stop being such a spoiled brat."
Vegeta swallowed, praying this was some stupid dream. How was he going to explain this to Kakarot? The boy would never willingly go with someone else. He would panic. He'd sworn to never let this happen to the boy again.
"I thank you very much for your hospitality, my lord." Zarbon said, bowing to him. "I'll leave you to relieve yourself before you bring the boy to my guest chambers, Vegeta." The cold look in those eyes told Vegeta that he hadn't even given a thought to making sure Kakarot was willing.
Vegeta stomped out, walking to the labs quickly. Hopefully he could figure something out to get Kakarot out of this.
He opened the doors, noticing immediately that the slave was winded. Maybe his father had decided to train him a bit. He didn't look like he'd sustained any damage, but he was sure tired.
Kakarot smiled. "Hey, Vegeta!"
The prince immediately felt guilty for the trust that the boy had put in him. He was going to be betraying him, just as everyone else has.
"My prince?" Bardock interrupted his thoughts.
"I have bad news, Kakarot." Vegeta spoke without looking at the younger Saiyan. He felt dread collect quickly in his stomach.
"Bad news? What do you mean?" Kakarot asked, his tail dropping with his anxiety.
Vegeta sighed. "I had no choice in the matter. Our guest has requested that you join him tonight."
Kakarot's eyes widened. "But, but..."
"I know, Kakarot. I'm sorry. I had no choice. I wouldn't have allowed it otherwise."
"I can't, Vegeta. I just can't." Kakarot started to shake and nausea came over him. "Don't... don't I have a choice?"
"No. You're a royal servant. You must listen to the king." Vegeta said, sneaking a look at a disgusted looking Bardock. "The easiest way to get through this would just be to allow it."
"No!" Kakarot shouted, gripping his hair. "I can't, Vegeta! You don't understand!"
Vegeta walked over to the boy, touching his wrists. "Don't hurt yourself, Kakarot. It's only for tonight. I'll make sure you're safe."
"I won't be safe! You know what he's going to do to me!" Kakarot's breathing quickly became labored. Vegeta began to worry that he would pass out.
"Boy, please, don't panic. I'll take care of everything. I promise."
"You PROMISED I wouldn't get raped again!" Kakarot shouted.
Vegeta grabbed the boy's wrists tightly. "You have to calm down."
"NO!" Kakarot shouted. He tried to break the grip the prince had on him. He was leaving bruises on himself and scratching Vegeta's arms. Vegeta was having trouble holding him. How strong was this kid?
"Bardock! Sedate the boy!" Vegeta shouted, trying to pull Kakarot to the ground.
"He's stronger than you, Vegeta! Let him go or he's going to hurt you!" Bardock shouted waiting for Vegeta to release his son before grabbing the boy himself. He shoved the needle into his son's thigh, hoping to push into the muscle.
Vegeta pulled the drifting boy into his lap. Kakarot's head rested in his lap and his sobs shook through his prince. Vegeta didn't even care that his arms were bleeding from the scratches. He just wanted to console the tortured boy.
Vegeta looked at Bardock. "What did you mean?"
Bardock sighed. "He's nearly a super Saiyan, Vegeta. He's been masking his energy so his masters won't beat him."
Vegeta swallowed. This weakling was almost a super Saiyan and he's never once defended himself?
"So why hasn't he said anything? He's probably stronger than any Saiyan besides you." Vegeta said.
"But, he's not as strong as Zarbon." Bardock said. "Even if the king would free him, he'd still fulfill his promise to Zarbon."
Kakarot was still shaking in his lover's lap. Vegeta clenched his teeth. "Kakarot is strong enough to say no then. He can get away from Zarbon, just by catching him by surprise."
"No, he isn't. He's strong enough to go toe to toe with him, but being afraid is nothing like being angry. He won't be able to access the power unless he can tie a different emotion to it." Bardock explained. "If he can find a way to become angry instead, like any other Saiyan, he'll be fine. Until then, the fear will be too powerful."
Kakarot looked up to Vegeta groggily. "I'm sorry."
Vegeta shook his head. "Don't apologize." The prince could say nothing more to the boy. He had no way to protect him. At least, not tonight.
Kakarot's breathing slowly calmed. His musk was still thick in the air. His heat wasn't near over yet.
"What are you going to do, Vegeta?" Bardock asked.
Vegeta sighed. "I have to allow Zarbon the night with him. I have no way to get around it. It will be much harder if my father has to find him."
Bardock nodded. "I understand. I just hope he does."
The same dread twisted in the prince's stomach. He's literally surrendering the boy to be used and abused, with no way to protect him.
It made him sick.
Bardock figured he should have mercy on the boy and gave him enough sedative to leave him groggy for much of the night. With any luck, he wouldn't remember anything in the morning.
Vegeta swallowed, knowing it was now or never.
"Bardock." Vegeta said, collecting his companion in his arms. The scientist locked gazes with him. "If you feel anything too off, I demand that you go in and get Kakarot. I refuse to allow him to be traumatized more than necessary. If anyone says anything, tell them you had a vision of Kakarot killing that snake bitch or something. Do you understand?"
He gave a stiff nod to his prince. "I'll do whatever I can."
Vegeta shook while carrying the barely conscious boy to the guest chambers. He hated himself for this.
Zarbon grinned at the prince as he saw the heap of Saiyan in his arms.
"Don't tell me you wore him out, Vegeta. We have a long night ahead of us." Zarbon let loose a disgusting laugh.
Vegeta felt the bile rise in his throat. "I'll be here to pick him up at sunrise. I trust you'll be ready to release him. I expect no damage."
Zarbon chuckled. "To the boy or the castle?"
Vegeta narrowed his gaze. "The boy."
"I can only promise he'll still be breathing."
"What do you mean I can't come along?" Kakarot asked, watching as his master got dressed in his formal armor.
"I'll be back shortly. I don't want you to get yourself hurt, which will happen if you go after waving that musk of yours around." Vegeta explained, pulling on his gloves.
