Zuki followed Muse into the main conference room, where she met some of the other girls that worked with Muse. There was one girl who had a very innocent face and long flowing red hair. Her skin was fair, and her eyes were green like and shined like the peridot. She was very muscular and seemed very weak to Zuki. The other girl had white hair and bronze skin, she seemed happy-go-lucky (AN: think Kaolla Su from Love Hina. Or Edward from Cowboy Bebop but only grown up) because she smiled a lot when they talked. She was muscular but in a sleek sort of way. The third had straight black hair and was fair skinned as well, but she seemed very angry all the time. Her dark eyes holding some eternal flame, at her side she had a sword.
"Alright everyone, I called you to introduce the new girl of the dancing department-"
"Wait! This is everybody? This is every one that dances?" interrupted Zuki. "What about the other girls? There has to be more than this right?"
"Yes there are don't worry. Most of our girls would rather have sex everyday, you get more money so that's probably why they do it. But that's not important, what's important is that you meet you're comrades. The red head is Phoenix," Phoenix bowed her head slightly in acknowledgement. "the white haired one is Kaiyute but you can just call her Kai and the third is Sakuya. This everyone is our new girl, her name is Zuki."
"Hi!" waved Kaiyute. "I know you, my father used to do dealings with King Vegeta. They were allies, but Frieza kill everyone so we're not allies anymore!" It seemed that Kaiyute was a very happy person. She got up and shook Zuki's hand. Phoenix looked up Zuki, opening her mouth to say something but closed it. Sakuya was staring at Zuki, her hand on the hilt of her sword. But the looks that Muse gave her made her return her hand back to the table.
The next day Zuki started her new job, as a waitress. This was the first step Muse called it, she was dressed in white satin that was revealing most of body. She had on a tie on skirt with nothing under and a tight little tank top that hugged her features. The fur on her tail was combed and washed so it was soft and silky, not a hair out of place. Zuki let her tail hang free behind her. Her shoes were clear heels, and her hair was combed the best they could get it and silver powder was sprinkled into it. Kaiyute even did her make up, applying light white eye shadow and silver lipstick to her lips. Muse thought she looked very nice and a couple years older, so Zuki went along with it.
So here she was now walking around taking orders, and watching the others dance. The only other waitress besides her was Phoenix. While the others had warned her about certain men Phoenix had not said a word to her. Did she hate her or something, but then again she hadn't seen her talk to the other girls either. She was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts when a man pulled her down into his lap. She tried to remember his face, the humanoid features with dark hair and blue eyes. Though she tried to get away he was strong and pulled her closer to him. She felt his hands start to ride up her skirt, and he grinned evilly as she tried to get away from him.
"Are you gonna take my order honey?" he asked, his voice deep and breath hot making her a bit nauseated. She felt his hands cup her sex, trying to tease her.
"What would you like sir?" she said sternly having given up on trying to get away.
"Firstly I want you." He ran his tongue along the side pf her neck only to pull back. He sniffed her neck taking in some scent that he had found. Very suddenly the fool didn't want to touch her, she got up like nothing happened and turned back to him.
"You.you smell of Zarbon!" he said quite shaken that this woman could smell so strongly of Zarbon. He could even taste him in his mouth!
"Do you still want your order?" she asked ignoring his statement.
"N-no, please don't tell Zarbon, I-I didn't know!" Zuki looked at him a what-are-you-talking-about look then walked away. Since then no one dared to touch her, was he that feared by them?
Over the next seven years Zuki became more friendly with the other girls, but Muse was different she was more like a mother to her than a sempai. Phoenix had distanced herself away from the group even more, when she asked the others why she did this they said that she had always been like that. No one knew Phoenix's story, besides that life had been good on Frieza's ship, she even began to like her job as a waitress. Teasing the men and laughing when some of them ran away at the smell of Zarbon. And best of all she hadn't seen Zarbon in a whole year, she felt safe and forgot all about him and Vegeta.
"Hey what do you guys do for fun? Nobody's been down here for a whole week!" asked Zuki one day while they were all hanging out in Muse's office. Sakuya looked up at the pacing saiyan from the book she was reading.
"We work, that's what we do for fun around here."
"There's not much to do when there's no customers." Said Kaiyute who was on the floor staring at the ceiling. She sighed deeply and then looked at Muse who was signing papers and puffing deeply on the cigarette. "You know those are bad for you right?"
Muse looked up from her papers and frowned as she jammed the cigarette down into the ashtray that looked as if it couldn't hold another. Then she reached into her drawers and pulled out another one, lit it and began the cycle all over again. Kaiyute should know by now she didn't want to hear it about her cigarettes.
"These aren't real cigarettes Kaiyute. They just supply me with nicotine and make me feel like I'm smoking." She stopped when she noticed Zuki's surprised face. "That's right I really don't smoke."
"Well why is no one here? Some one is always here." Zuki implied. Sakuya glanced at the girl then turned back to her book.
"King Cold has come to visit today and will be for the next week. There won't be any action for awhile because Frieza wants everyone on the job."
"Good, I think I could use a rest from getting hit on all the time." The girls smiled at her little joke and Zuki left the room. She strode down the hall to her room, but when she reached the door something told her not to go in there. It told her that something was waiting, she sniffed the air and the door just to calm her mind. Just to tell herself that she was being childish about this whole thing. She smelled only her self coming from the doorknob and nothing else. Zuki laughed softly to herself knowing that she was being silly.
-Vegeta's POV Chapter 1
Failure. That was how Vegeta described himself to be, a failure. A warrior who could not protect his own sibling. A sibling so important, he lost her. Ever since Vegeta-sei was destroyed along with their father, their mental link has been annihilated. They were two different beings now. Even if Zuki was still alive he wouldn't be able to find her. That was why Vegeta thought of himself as a failure.
"I'm a failure." Vegeta said out loud to the red-headed girl in bed next to him. She looked at his stern face blankly, not quite understanding his words. She then lay her head down on his chest, skin so soft but muscles so hard. Not the most comfortable place to lay your head, but she had a thick mane of long locks of crimson to cushion it.
"How are you a failure, Vegeta-san?" she said in a voice so soft, even in the dead quiet Vegeta could barely hear her. "You certainly aren't a failure in my book."
"It's none of your business Phoenix." He growled. Phoenix knew that when he got that tone he wanted to be alone.
"I'll leave you to your thoughts." She began to get up but was suddenly stopped by Vegeta. She turned over to him, eyes looking at his angry face. Had he finally noticed the bruises in the shape of his hands on her hips?
"I didn't say you could go." He growled. Phoenix sat on the bed again, arms rising to cover her chest. She was hiding something from him, her back was turned and she was tense.
"What's wrong?"
"You've become more violent over the past few days." She heard Vegeta humph and the bed squeak as he shifted his weight. "Youyou could have killed me today."
Vegeta eyed the red spot on her neck, the bruises on her hips and a few on her legs. He had caused those marks to form on her milk white skin. The milk white skin that was so soft he almost couldn't stand it.
"Well I didn't. I'll let you live longer wench." She winced mentally at his words. His heart was cold, how could she possibly love a man like that? That must be why he had called himself a failure, damn saiyan.
"I don't understand you." She whispered quietly to herself, hoping the saiyan wouldn't hear. "May I leave now?"
"I could careless." Phoenix dressed quietly, not looking at him as Vegeta grabbed his clothes and headed for the bathroom. When he closed the door behind him and heard the distinct hiss of a shower running, she allowed a single tear to run down her cheek. She pulled her clothes on, or what was left of them wishing she hadn't come to him in something skimpy. She winced slightly as her hands lightly traced over the bruises. Phoenix had the sudden feeling that the next time he called her she wouldn't make it out alive.
Vegeta washed the scent of the woman off him, letting the hot water run over his skin. He felt light headed from the steam suddenly and opened his eyes, he had failed. The thought had come back to him, the thought that haunted him ever since the day it happened. He knew that the other saiyans hadn't found her, if they had he would've smelled her on him. Nappa had said that he smelled traces of her around the ship and on Zarbon. Naturally he ignored it, Nappa was an idiot, a good companion and fighter but an idiot. Sure Zarbon had eyed her but Zuki had to have died, Zarbon killed her he knew it. It was the only logical explanation, but deep down he hoped that she did survive, then their race had a good chance of coming backhopefully.
The saiyan washed himself thoroughly (AN: God I wish I was there to see Vegeta all wet and.sorry. *blushes* ) making sure that he didn't smell the female on him. He knew that he was taking out his anger on her, but today he practically raped her. Thankfully his sheets weren't all that stained, but he would have to wash those too. He didn't want to smell her anywhere in his room, he didn't hate her he just didn't want her scent anywhere. Every time he fucked her he felt dirty, as if he betrayed his whole race. Then he would assure himself that that was what she was there for.
When he felt clean he climbed out the shower, then powered up to dry his hair and body. After that he pulled on his clothes and armor, the kind without the shoulder pads, and walked out the bathroom. He looked around to see that Phoenix was gone. He smirked and typed in something on the control pad. Almost immediately robots came in, ripped the blankets and sheets off the bed, stuffed them in their little compartments and left. Vegeta followed them out the door.
He padded down the halls, smirking as some guards shrank in terror of him. When he reached the training room he watched Nappa and Turles fight. Of course Nappa was stronger but Turles was a lot faster than him and was confusing him. Vegeta watched in amusement as Turles tricked Nappa into punching air and walls. Sure Nappa was an elite, but that was because he was one of the strongest fighters that Frieza had ever lay eyes on.
When both had finished they noticed Vegeta watching them through the window. Both rushed through the door to stand at attention to their prince.
"Where's Zuki?"
"I've found no traces of her." Turles reported. Vegeta scowled, and sat down on the bench. He was feeling extremely frustrated, how were they supposed to find her?
"Turles you can check the entertainment deck. The manager there is Muse, do what you want to get any info out of her." Turles nodded.
"I'll do that first thing tomorrow."
"What about me?" asked Nappa rather stupidly.
"You're coming with me to Earth. We've got a score to settle with a saiyan goody goody called Kakarott."
Turles nodded as Vegeta and Nappa went their separate ways. Nappa was surprisingly quiet as they walked down those halls. The halls that always had the scent of blood and death forever imprinted on them.
Vegeta kept thinking about Zuki, he kept thinking about what she was doing in the other dimension, or what she was doing now. He kept trying to think of ways she could've escaped, but he came up empty. Zarbon killed her, he had to have there was no other real way. Unless...no he didn't even want to think about it.
"My Prince, what are you thinking?" asked Nappa. He could tell that the prince was thinking because he had been so quiet.
"Nappa," Vegeta smirked deciding to play with his mind. "what did you think of Zuki? Did you think she would make a good queen?"
Nappa raised his eyebrows. Was his Prince playing with his mind? What should he say about the Princess, surely Vegeta would kill him if he spoke ill of her.
"Uhyes I think that she would have made a good queen. She has zero tolerance for weakness."
"Do you really think so? Would she be good enough to mate with? I'm not even sure myself if she would be able to produce saiyan offspring."
"Iuh...I don't know, my prince." Vegeta suddenly stopped, eye's knit even further together than usual. Had Nappa said something wrong?
"You know if she is still alive she is our last hope."
"I understand."
"And if she agrees to help replenish our race. I will be the first to touch her." Nappa's eyes widened. Had he just heard what he thought he heard?
"My Prince, you are her brother-"
"Half brother, I can produce offspring with her with out many side effects. Hopefully nonebut we mustn't get to worked up over this, we don't even know if she is alive."
"Yes my Prince,." Nappa agreed and they headed down the hall to the hangar. When they entered there were already two pods waiting for them. The technicians had them seated then worked at it's back. Vegeta sat with arms crossed, still thinking of his sister. Why was she in his head so much, she's dead get over it. But he kept thinking, he kept wondering what a great body she must have now, how grown up she would be now. In a way it made him feel old, he still remember when she was born. That was twenty- years ago, he would find out what happened to her after he killed Frieza.
The cryogenic sleep had started before he even lifted off. Vegeta did not feel the pod move to the launch pad. Nor did he feel the pod fire off into space toward Earth, he was asleep nothing could awake him for sometime. The pod thought for him on how to get around magnetic storms and other space weather. However as Vegeta slept he had a dream, in the future he thought about what this dream might reflect, would he really..?
