PART TWO:

When he found her, it seemed as if she had passed away, her beautiful
face pressed softly against her curled up knees. He was scared for a
heartbeat, as her little ki had almost diminished. She was wet and
muddy from the continuing rainstorm, but he welcomed her into his
warmth and carried her back inside. He smiled despite himself, as her
hair tickled his bare shoulders. So she is no longer his, he thought,
his eyes gleaming. This was going to be a long night.

She woke up in his arms, her eyes adjusting to the darkness, and then
she snapped her head up quickly. Realizing she was in his embrace, in
his bed - she blushed, a full, rosy pink. These were the arms she had
felt in her dreams, these were the arms she longed for during those
long nights when Yamucha would not hold her. Folded in his embrace was
the most beautiful place to be. She felt a great relief.

"A...arigato Vegeta."

"So you decided to wake up. Took you long enough." His tone was light,
his breath teasing her ears. He shifted, so she was now on top of him.
"How are you feeling?"

"Better. Thank you... I did not mean for all of this to happen...its
just -" he silenced her with a tender kiss. She burst inside,
happiness flowing through her like a new life. Somehow, Bulma felt he
understood. She kissed him back gently, then pressed her mouth to his
harder, chasing all the loneliness away.

The Prince was in love. Though he would never, never admit it, he
loved this frail woman in his arms. If he had to conquer the galaxies
for her, so be it. He knew she needed to hear it, but his pride
prevented him from uttering out those soul binding words. So he
proceeded to show her the best way he knew how. "Come," he murmured in
her ear, "I want to bathe you." Bulma shivered in anticipation,
letting him pick up her lithe, damp body from his bed. A fire in her
heart started to grow.
