Rage. Blood. Kill. Death. Kill. Kill. Kill.

Kaali's eyes flew open and she gasped, cold beads of sweat running down her forehead. A damp cloth wiped the sweat from her brow and she turned to see Bulma. The older woman smiled softly and patted the Saiya-jin girl on the hand. "You gave me quite a scare, young lady. You've been out for two days…I thought you had slipped into a coma. Is everything all right?"

The girl's jaw tightened and she nodded slowly. Nothing was right. Why had Vegeta done that to her? She would have NEVER thought he'd go so low as to use her affection for him against her. It was beyond low and it hurt even more. Kaali swung her feet over to the side of the bed and got out. She stretched, her stiff limbs relaxing slightly by the movement. So she was a Super Saiya-jin now but at what price? Being humiliated by the person she respected the most? Vegeta was going to pay for toying with her like that but she didn't know how she was going to accomplish that without going Super Saiya-jin.

For her, the newfound ability to go Super Saiya-jin had unleashed a darkness that had long laid dormant. Something that scared her and if there was a thing out there that actually frightened her, it was definitely bad news. She sighed heavily and tugged at the standard-issue medical gown, looking at Bulma. "Do you know where Vegeta is?" she asked, her tail like a whip with the violent up and down jerking. It was evident to even Bulma that she had some unresolved issues with the Saiya-jin prince.

"No, sorry Kaali but I haven't seen him since he dropped you off here. He's probably at Goku's. That's where he was yesterday according to Trunks. Why? Did he do something to you? Kaali, if he did…you need to tell me."

The young Saiya-jin couldn't look Bulma in the eyes and lie to her. This woman had raised her and lying to her was dishonorable. "I can't tell you…not yet. Not until I know more. You don't have to worry."

Bulma frowned and hugged her surrogate daughter. The scientist smiled a bit when she felt the girl tense. Vegeta had been strict about reaffirmative touching so Bulma didn't do it unless it was required, like it was right now. Bulma pulled back and searched the onyx depths of Kaali's eyes. Aside from the haunted look, she seemed to be okay. But the mother of four knew better than that. "This is about those dreams you've been having, isn't it?"

Kaali didn't move, not even a blink. Her tail puffed out and slowly, she began to back away from Bulma. Then her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "How do you know about the dreams?" her voice was calm, collected…much like Vegeta's had been two days ago.

The human woman sighed and shook her head. "The boys and Vegeta could hear you when they started. You even woke Bra up a few times. What were you seeing that had you roaring and screaming? Do I even want to know?"

"You will sleep easier without knowing. You do not want to have the images I have to be in your head. Trust me. Will you let me go now?"

Another sigh. "All right but you be careful, understand?"

Kaali bowed, her hands palm-to-palm and level with her chest. "Yes. I don't know if I'll be back for dinner so don't wait up. Before I go, is Kale out of the tank yet?"

Bulma nodded as she began to remove electrodes and wires from the girl. "He's been out for a day. I don't know what he did to upset you but it cost him his tail. I don't know if it'll grow back but since Vegeta and Goku want theirs back, I've been working on a device that will stimulate growth. He's been at Goku's too. Seems you've instilled fear into that boy."

The Saiya-jin frowned. She caused her brother to lose his tail? She cringed at the thought of someone taking her tail. Kaali sighed and once Bulma was finished, she left the medical wing and went outside. Sensing Goku's ki, she levitated and flew towards it.

Kaali set foot down on thick, lush grass. Goku and Vegeta were sparring about a yard in front of her and it looked intense. The Saiya-jin girl approached the two, wary of any sudden attacks on her person. "Vegeta, we need to talk."

Goku stopped in mid-attack and waved, offering his infamous grin. "Hey Kaali! I haven't seen you in weeks, wanna spar with me and Geta?" he asked, eager for and extra opponent and oblivious to her question. Vegeta smacked him upside the head. "Don't call me that, Kakkarotto. What do you want, girl?"

She hated it when he answered a question with another question. "Have you ever heard of a Saiya-jin named Avica?"

The prince's eyes widened in surprise. Did she say Avica? That female had been one of the best Saiya-jins he'd ever read about. For a middle-class warrior, she was fairly strong but what she DID to purge planets was what had made her infamous. The crazy bitch was notorious for torturing her opponents before killing them. Avica was the Saiya-jin equivalent to Vlad the Impaler. The stuff legends were made from. "Yes, she was a middle-class Saiya-jin and she was known for her unique ways of clean-sweeping planets. Why do you ask? And how did you come by that name?"

"I think I'm her."

Vegeta paled visibly. Avica was one of those monsters parents told their brats about in order to get them to behave. Her horror stories were one of the few things Vegeta didn't teach to Kaali and her brother. For good reason too, she was downright scary. He remembered hearing about her slaughter of a race on one of the more valued planets Freezer wanted. When she had come back to Vegetasei, she wore a necklace of their skulls, a practice that ended when the Tsufuru-jins were annihilated.

"This sounds important and all but can we eat? I'm starving."

S.W.H Speakeths- Nuther chapter. I didn't TRULY capture Avica the way I wanted. She's like the boogeyman for Saiya-jins and her methods of execution can be compared to Vlad the Impaler, Jack the Ripper, Saddam Hussein and any other crazy psycho-fuck you can think of. Avica is MEANT to be scary and she just doesn't sound that way.

Next chapter will have more Kaali/Vegeta/ Goku interaction and stuff like that. Kale will start to play a bigger part soon for any of you who may like him but I wanted to get Kaali done first since Kale is based on an actual character. King Vegeta killed him for fucking up so he's not really a big player yet. Radditz and co. coming soon! And for any of you interested in pairings, you won't see V/B, T/P or G/CC so give it up. If you want to know what the other pairings are, you'll have to review and beg me to tell. =P
