Hey guys! Here is chapter 3! Thanx to all my readers, I luv ya all!!! ~*~

Bulma sighed. Why isn't he back? The competition for the good slaves could not have been that fierce. Could it? She was bored and frustrated.

" Bulma! Hunny! Would you go get me my corded whip? One of the slaves is acting up again!" Her mother shouted from the balcony. Bulma glanced up at the marble structure, and sighed.

"Which one mother?"

" The one with all the tassels!'

" NO MOTHER! WHICH SLAVE?"

" Oh." Her mother giggled, " Its Krillin, he is talking back again."

"Ill be right up mother." She said, lifting her body from the fountain. She gazed up at the beautiful statue of Athena. Then at the stables. Krillin was one of her best friends. She could not allow her mother to beat him. She casually walked toward the stall of her horse. Pulling out the saddle, she quietly brushed, tacked and mounted her beautiful black mare, affectionately named Leatalupus.

Urging her forward, she cantered off into then distance. Bulma's mother ran to the balcony, with just enough time to see her daughter ride off toward the distant field. No doubt to confide in her slave Chi Chi.

" What am I going to do with you Bulma?" She muttered

" What am I going to do?"

Dr. Briefs gave out a ragged sigh. This was not going as planned. He had already lost two slaves to higher bidders, and they were getting weaker and dumber by the minute.

" Hera help me, and Jupiter give me strength."

He picked his way threw the crowd, back up to the bidding column. He was about to bid all 800,000 sesterces on a half decent slave, when something caught his eye.

Four, grown, strong Roman soldiers, were parting threw the crowds, struggling with a young man. He was thrashing and cursing, and struggling with all his might. Which proved to be too much, and he was dropped.

Six hulking slave-dealers came out and held his feet down, as they were chalked, and a placard was place around his neck. This took a long twenty minutes, and in this time, all bidders had their eyes on him. However, they all turned and walked away. Dr. Briefs though, was captivated. This man could probably go three days of hard field labor and only need one day of rest. Though it would be a risk, he had to take the chance. He made his way to the slave, who was now tied to a chariot, drawn by two old bay geldings.

" Gentlemen!" Mr. Briefs exclaimed, " How much for this fine piece of flesh?"

The slave-dealers and soldiers all gave him a questioning looks. Was this old man serious? Was he really interested in this monster, or was he just getting their hopes up.

" Well, Sir, whatever you can offer."

Dr.Breifs picked up the placard and studied it. He was a roman war prisoner, obviously a prisoner of war, and he could read and write, and skilled in geometry and rhetoric. The Dr. could not pass this up. He eagerly handed over 30,000 sesterces, but was taken aback.

" Excuse me gentlemen." He turned to the slave-dealers. " May I take this chariot with me, I can pay you back all the difference for this beautiful white stallion I have her." Dr. Briefs led his stallion around so it could be inspected by the dealers.

A dealer stuck out his hand,

" You have yourself a slave." He said, his face beaming.
