Chapter 12
Dateline: Graduation
That year had past by very quickly for our strange couples. Their class mates were slightly appauled at their audacity to break clique rule number one, but when they paid no mind to the accusations and taunts their class mates just gave up and let them be. This act alone set a crack in the flawless clique structure that would never be fixed and would only grow wider with each passing year, which in all truthfulness everyone was better off for.
Mortar boards flew haphazardly through the air as the crowd cheered the newly graduated class. Vegeta and Goku both jumped over rows to reach their females and pulled them into a bruising kiss. Krillin smiled at 18 and she blew him a kiss as she was less likely to go flying over bleachers.
Afterwards Vegeta and Bulma were making out not noticing the world around them. They had decided to move into together since neither one of them could stand their parents. Bulma was already a top scientist at Capsule Corp so having money was no problem and Vegeta would be free to work with his band away from his father.
18, Krillin, Chi chi, and Goku stood together chattering happily about how great it felt to have graduated. They were all friends now taking karate classes together and getting along like when they were young.
"So are you excited to go to college Krillin?" They inquired.
"Yeah, but I will miss you all." He said a little sadly.
18 grabbed his hand and grinned. "Don't worry I'll be waiting right here for you when you get back." She winked at him and Krillin blushed. 18 was going to stay with the band while Krillin was in college, but their future was still uncertain.
Chi chi laughed. "At least you have a plan I still have no idea what I'm going to do now that school is done."
"Speaking of which...." Goku spoke. Chi chi turned around to see him shaking a little black box. Chi chi's heart stopped she was almost afraid to ask what the box was for. She didn't have long to wait though as Goku knelt before her and grabbed her hand. "Chi chi will you marry me?" Goku asked as calmly as he could. He stared up at her biting his lip waiting for the reply.
Chi chi's heart soared and she wiped her tearing eyes on the back of her hand and smiled. "Ok."
Goku's face lit up and he took out the ring and slid in on her hand. He stood up and embraced her as she cried happily into his chest. 18 and Krillin just laughed and clapped in congratulations.
And so as the saying goes rules are made to be broken and there is someone for every one. Whether you're a jock, a prep, a punk, a bully, a geek, or a freak there is someone out their waiting for you, they might even be down the hall.
