Um, so here's the first chapter, I hope you all enjoy it. But of course, there's always the one thing that I BEG you as readers to do when you finish it: REVIEW! I'll owe you an arm and a leg for it…

Sacrificing Love

Chapter One:Deception

Bulma placed the last of her things in her luggage. The trip to Saket was going to be a long one. All of the most talented scientists were going to the convention, and they had been sure not to leave the infamous Chikyuu inventor out. It was a convention mainly focused on discussing new developments, exciting new equipment, and fresh ideas. She had been planning this trip forever, and was more and more anxious to get there every passing second.

Bulma zipped up her bag and looked around for forgotten items. Well, it looked like she had remembered everything. She checked her watch. Where in the hell was Yamcha? He was supposed to be here by now. Yamcha had insisted on going on this trip with her, so they could spend a so-called vacation together on the serene planet of Saket. Bulma rolled her aquamarine eyes. She had tried to explain to him that this wasn't going to be a vacation, only work. But in the end, she got tired of explaining things to her boyfriend.

After what had seemed an eternity, the doorbell finally rang. Bulma finished hauling her luggage near the front door and rushed to answer the sound. "Yamcha, what took you so long?"

"Sorry, Bulma. I kind of overslept," Yamcha said as walked in. He picked up her baggage and followed her. Bulma made sure she had equiped herself with her anti-shock

device, since there had been a massive leak in one of her pipes close to many power lines. She encouraged Yamcha to do the same.

"Well, you're not too late, for once." Bulma opened the passenger side of his car and got in. Yamcha closed the trunk and sat down behind the wheel. They were at the spaceport in a matter of minutes. "We're supposed to be at Gate 16." Bulma picked up her bag and they headed in that direction. Bulma showed the boarding attendant their passes, and the two entered the ship.

Their cabin was a nice size. Actually, they had the suite, which made it enormous. Bulma plopped down on the bed. She hadn't slept since 8:00 last night, and it was-she checked her watch again-6:00 in the morning. Now she supposed was the time to catch up on her sleep. The ship left the dock just as her subconscious took over her mind.

Letti stared out the ship's window. This was going to be a long day. His division was to raid one of Frieza's ships supposedly carrying contrabands. He just hoped that Frieza himself wasn't on that ship. The Saiyans in his division probably wouldn't stand much of chance to Frieza yet. At least not until the legendary's spirit awakened in the prince. That would be the day that his race would be forever free of Frieza.

He sighed and propped his shoulder against the wall. The raid would bring them one more step closer to Saiyan victory. He could sense that Prince Vegeta was close to becoming his race's savior. A land with Frieza in control was not going very well and now they were too close in defeating that bastard. King Vegeta couldn't accept them to fail now, since these weapons might mean their doom.

Letti heard the sirens that signified their upcoming challenge. Was he ready for this? He shook his head clear of that question. There was no asking. He had to be ready. Letti soon reached his fellow comrades. The leader, a Saiyan named Bardock, one of his good friends, addressed the group before their mission.

"Okay, men. This is it. We've sighted the ship heading for Saket. Now all we need to do is bring the stuff on it back to the greatest empire in the galaxy!"

The other men cheered. Then, they positioned themselves near the exit, preparing for their pillage. Letti had a mixture of excitement and nervousness brewing in the bottom of his stomach. This was it. This was it…

"Lord Frieza, the ship has arrived at Saket."

"Excellent." Frieza said.

Zarbon looked over at his albino master. "That was a clever manuver that you pulled."

Frieza sunk back in his chair. "Those damned monkeys. Thinking that they can outsmart me. Little did they realize that Chikyuu ship was planning to leave for Saket when I had mentioned that my own artilery ship was going to Saket." Frieza chuckled. "My mistake."

Zarbon laughed as well. "They won't realize that we've sent the ship a little earlier than they had anticipated."

"Yes, their muscles makes up for their brains, I suppose." Frieza perked up. "When they do find out, they will know better than to defy their master."

Bulma awoke to the abrupt jerk of the luxury liner. She jumped out of the bed and left her suite in search for the problem. She was greeted by a hard elbow and was slammed against the wall. She sought out the source.

A tall figure with black hair and dark eyes was starring down at her. Who was this guy? "You son of a bitch! If you've broken anything of mine, then I'll break something of yours!" Bulma attempted to get herself up.

The man looked baffled for a moment, then he began to laugh at her tone. `He didn't understand me', Bulma thought. So, he wasn't one of Chikyuu. Well, she could've guessed that, judging by how hard her back connected to the wall.

Bulma watched in disbelief as this…thing looked her up and down. Was he finished now? It seemed like forever when he took his gaze off of her. "Had a good enough look, you disgusting freak?" Bulma started off, but the man grabbed her and carried her off. She struggled, but in vain. This man obviously was too strong for her. They had reached a connection between two ships. Two ships? Bulma looked around at her surroundings. There were many of them, destroying every part of the ship in search of something. Bulma gasped in realization. The ship was being raided by pirates. She needed someone to rescue her. "Yamcha!!" Bulma screamed, hoping that her man would save her, but she was pushed in a room with two other women. The man had mumbled something as he locked the door. She supposed he had told her to stay. `Like I have any other choice.' Bulma thought as she pressed herself against a wall and sunk down onto the floor. What was going to happen to her? She glanced around at the other women. They were crying too hard for her to speak to them. She sighed heavily. It was in fate's hands now. She just hoped that they would deal her some decent cards…

Letti stepped back onto the luxury liner. There wasn't a trace of weapons, only aliens. How could they miscalculate? King Vegeta had heard Frieza correctly. Now, they had failed. His hand found its way to his thick mane of hair. He went to find Bardock. "This isn't the ship."

Bardock looked over to one of his squad members. "I know. It's some sort of passenger ship."

"How could we be so stupid?" Letti cried.

Bardock shook his head. "We're not the ones who made the mistake. In fact, no one did."

"What do you mean?" Letti asked.

"I mean we were tricked. Frieza must have known. There's no other way. We should have known better. None of the words that come out Frieza's mouth has ever been true, anyway."

There was a pause. "So what do we do now?" Letti asked, breaking the silence.

Bardock released the breath that he had been holding in, and rose an eyebrow. "We hope that action doesn't reach Frieza…"
