Chapter Eleven: Smells like Rats…
Kakarrot entered the palace of Vegeta-sei, watching the looks of shock form on every face that he encountered. A month had passed since he last stepped on the green marble and looked at the jade and gold decorated walls. A month of pure hell, serving that merciless son of a bitch who-no, he wouldn't think of it now. All that mattered now was that he was here, no matter how short his homecoming may be.
His arrival was announced and he was directed to the throne room. Both king and prince stood staring at him with emotionless eyes. He made his way in front of the throne, bowing to his king and former master. "Ou-sama, Ouji-sama."
"Kakarrot," King Vegeta began. "Let me get to the point. Are you our enemy, now that you are under Frieza's control?"
Kakarrot, still in his bow, stared at the floor. "No, Ou-sama. I am no enemy of Vegeta-sei."
"That is wise of you, Kakarrot." Prince Vegeta said, crossing his arms. "Otherwise, I would have to put you down."
"Vegeta," the king warned him.
"Shut up, Father. Your cation is not needed." Vegeta's eyes left his father's and returned to Kakarrot's. "Besides, he needs to tell us why he is here in the first place."
Kakarrot stood. "Frieza's ship has landed temporarily on Vegeta-sei for supplies. I have been granted to visit my family for only two days before we leave out. You have nothing to worry about, King Vegeta. My body might belong to Frieza, but my heart will always be here, on Vegeta-sei."
"Well then, Kakarrot." King Vegeta said. "Do not let us keep you from visiting your mate. She has been devestated since your departure."
"Thank you, Ou-sama." Kakarrot said before he bowed again and headed out the room.

Chi Chi slowly felt moist heat on her neck and fur wrapped around her leg. Was she still dreaming? All she could dream about was him, the simple and lovable Saiyan, her's by right. But no dream of hers had ever come this close to reality.
The room felt hotter than ever before, and it was the heat that slowly brought her to consciousness. "K-Kakarrot?"
He smiled. "Hi, Chi Chi." His smile grew wider as he felt her jump up and hug him, arms around his neck. His own arms wrapped around her waist, hugging her back. The word `missing' couldn't even describe the feeling that he had felt for this woman for a month, but at least he had known that she was safe. That was all that mattered.
"Kakarrot? Are you really here, or are you just a dream?" Chi Chi had to ask.
Kakarrot chuckled. "No, Chi Chi. It's really me." His tail gently stroked her side.
Chi Chi smiled as her lips found his. She needed this night, after being deprived of feeling his touch for a whole month. She fell headfirst into the waves of pleasure.

Bulma sighed gently and placed the last chip into the device.
She was ordered to produce the ki absorbers and had been at it all week. `Why does he need so many of these, anyway? I thought only he and a only few other people were going to use them. Bulma pushed the little plastic objects to the side and rested her head on her elbows.
She had the same dream again. Why she would be dreaming about Vegeta was beyond her. But she couldn't say that it wasn't pleasant. He seemed so…nice, and caring. "Yeah, Bulma," she said to herself, rubbing her temples. "It was definitely a dream."
The door to the lab opened and Chi Chi entered, wearing a full smile on her face. Bulma was shocked. Chi Chi hadn't smiled for the past four weeks…what happened to make her do so now? And then she realized that she was not alone.
Kakarrot entered with her, looking around the room for a couple of seconds. Then his black eyes rested on Bulma. "So, you must be Bulma, the woman that Chi Chi has told me so much about."
"Good things, I hope." Bulma stood from her chair.
Kakarrot glanced at the small spheres of plastic on the table. "What are those?"
Bulma looked at Chi Chi, who nodded. "They're ki absorbers. They can absorb large amounts of it."
"Why are you making them?"
Bulma hesitated. Should she be telling the man who was currently directly linked to Frieza? If she told him, and he betrayed her, then her and Vegeta's plans would be eliminated.
"Bulma," Chi Chi said. "You can tell him. He's still Frieza's enemy, remember?"
"Well…" she started. "They're going to be used when Vegeta takes down Frieza."
"Why so many of them?" Kakarrot asked.
"Do you honestly think that Frieza will be alone when he takes him on? That he wouldn't bring Zarbon or someone else to take care of everyone else on this planet once he realizes that Vegeta-sei's against him?"
Kakarrot scatched his head. "I guess not." He looked at the ki absorbers again. "You know that if you need any help with this plan, I will be more than happy to-"
"That's not up to me, Kakarrot," Bulma interrupted. "You'll have to ask Prince Vegeta."
"Oh." That told him that he wouldn't be included in the plan. Vegeta had too much pride. Well, he would have to persuade him. Kakarrot wanted revenge for his father and brother too much to be discarded for their plot. "I will ask him about that." He turned to leave. "See you, Bulma." He looked back at her. "And thank you."

Vegeta stared at the dark wood ceiling of his room. It was no use trying to go to sleep-at least not with her on his mind. What was it about her that enabled her to enslave his brain, controling his every thought? He didn't like it one bit. His mind should be on defeating the creature that was trying to destroy his race-no matter how much he promised that he wouldn't, Vegeta knew he had to stop him.
`It should be easy to end his pathetic life, now that the woman has proved her worth.' She had more than proved it. Bulma did what he had thought the impossible. A chance to finally carry out his destiny, and finally he would be able to obtain the peace in his life that he so deserved. `Just a little longer,' he told himself.
He listened to the silence, enjoying how calm and relaxed he felt…But it wasn't enough. His body was craving something else entirely-something that was forbidden to him. `My God. She's not even a Saiyan!'
He sat in the bed, rubbing his face with his hands. There was only one reason that this was happening, one reason that he couldn't stop thinking about her. She was simply driving him crazy.

Zarbon knelt in front of his lord and master. Again, to land on this godforsaken planet was definitely not his cup of tea. But if his news had the right effect on Frieza, there would be no planet here for them to land on.
"Yes, Zarbon," Frieza said in his smooth manner. "What is it now?"
"Lord Frieza, the ship is stocked and ready to go. All that leaves now is that annoying Saiyan idiot the inhabitants call Kakarrot."
"It's not wise to call him an idiot, Zarbon, not when he's fully capable of wiping you out of existance."
Zarbon's teeth grond a bit with that comment, yet he didn't respond. "Yes, Lord Frieza."
Frieza sighed, staring at his spiked wine glass. "Well, once the Saiyan gets back, we will depart."
"There's something else, Lord Frieza. We have gotten some inside information from the palace of Vegeta-sei."
Frieza's eyes widened with that comment. "And?"
"There seems to be a scientist there that is creating devices that are designed to destroy you." Zarbon chuckled.
There was a pause. "Wherever did you get this information, Zarbon?"
"Some of the servants was kind enough to oblige us-by the names of Weirna and Fresa. They seem to be a little bit miffed that the scientist, who was also a servant that was taken when they were taken, was premoted to a free woman when they were left into a life of servitude."
"And who is this scientist?" Frieza asked.
"Her name is unknown. She is reputed to be a very smart woman, though."
"Do you have any idea of what she is to be making that is to be used against me?"
Zarbon hesitated before shaking his head. "No, my lord. The information that I just told you was all that I could squeeze out of them."
"Well…It seems that our little agreement with Kakarrot has just perished. Prepare to leave for the palace, Zarbon." Frieza smiled sadisticly. "We wouldn't want to deny them any longer of their deaths."
