A/N: <Blah> = which, if you haven't gotten this already, means Saiyango.

Blah = telepathy/ thoughts

Yeesh…I'm the typical poor artist; sitting at my computer, writing a story with Chinese take-out on my desk…

Kurai: -_- Pathetic

You're here with me!

Kurai: I know…which makes it even worse.

(sigh) On with it already.

Raife lay sprawled on the dark blue comforter adorning his sister's bed, letting the constantly circulating air dry his slightly damp body as he sipped at a glass of water. Kurai was taking her turn to wash, her quiet humming that drifted through the bathroom door lulled his thoughts.

<I think Kakarotto is having an identity crisis.>

Ray choked on the water he had taken in and sat up coughing.

<You alright niisan?>

With his breathing under control, the elder sibling stared at the bathroom door in surprise.

<Where the Hell did that come from?>

He could feel Kurai mentally shrug. <The man has three names. I thought it was kind of funny.>

Ray flopped back onto the bed and laid an arm across his eyes. <Gods, why…what the Hell goes on in your head!>

The brunette in the other room, lounging in the steaming bathtub grinned maniacally before submerging herself. Her brother sighed and stood up. Walking to the bathroom door, Raife leaned his forehead against the door.

<"OK, Ku-chan? You're insane, get out of the tub,"> he called through the wooden barrier.

He heard the water lap against the side of the in-ground bathing unit as his little sister swam around. The tub was large, roughly twice the size of a normal hot tub, giving her adequate room.

<And what does being mentally stable have anything to do with taking a nice bath?> She questioned innocently.

<"I don't know…but there's got to a rule against it…look, will you just get out? I'm bored and I'd rather talk with you face to face. Plus I don't trust you when you get that look on your face.">

<Oh, alright…don't get you're tail in a knot. It was a joke anyway.>

Raife returned to the bed, listening to his sister get out, dry off and re-clothe herself. Opening the door, she stepped out, toweling down her knee-length, unbound hair. Looking up at her brother, the girl grunted and chucked the fluffy, navy colored towel at him. <"Put some clothes on.">

He grinned, pulling the towel off of his crotch. <"What, don't like what you see?">

Gray eyes involuntarily flickered down his body then quickly away. <"You know that's not it. Just get dressed.">

Ray sighed in mild exasperation. Rolling his eyes, he stood up and threw the towel back to its owner. <"You know, I had really been hoping you would've gotten over this by now. It's been almost a full year for Kami's sake!">

Kurai glared at him and threw the towel into the bathroom. <"I know, alright?"> Sighing, she picked up her niisan's discarded pants and regarded them as though they would tell her the universe's darkest secrets, if she could only understand what they were saying. Raife shook his head and rose from the bed, retrieving his boxers and putting them on. Scowling, he realized Kurai was still staring at his pants with that far off look in her gray eyes. He surprised his imooto by snatching his pants away with a growl, throwing them back on the floor and catching her in a fierce embrace.

<"I'm proud of you chibi. No screaming or passing out anymore. We'll work through it together, OK?"> His impassioned words made Kurai blink in surprise before a small smile graced her face. <"Yeah. Together,"> she replied, wrapping her arms securely around his waist, returning the hug. Ray squeezed her in reassurance before letting go. Moving back to the bed, he threw the comforter back and pulled the sheets down. <"I'm staying with you tonight. I want to go to sleep, so get in,"> Raife said seriously as he scrawled under the thin covers and opened his arms expectantly.

The brunette sighed with a small smile. She'd kind of been hoping for another sleepless night, just the two of them, up and talking. She pulled off her over shirt, loosened her wristbands slightly and bent to take off her knives. Once those had been removed, she hesitated a moment but quickly took her pants off as well. All of her clothing mingled on the floor with her brother's, her knives entrusted to the drawer of the nightstand. All of their jewelry sat on top of the nightstand, save Kurai's earrings.

Grinning, the 16 year old leapt into the bed, snuggling up to her brother's toned chest. Raife smiled and pulled her loose hair to lie across them like a feathery wing of protection, before letting the covers fall on top of them. He had just started purring when his sister made a questioning sound. He grunted in response.

<"There's something I've been meaning to ask you all day.">

<"Yeah?">

She shifted restlessly. <"Well, how did you recognize Vejita? How could you tell he was the Prince?">

The question surprised him, but he smiled sleepily as he told her. <"I remember an elaborate tapestry I'd chanced seeing one time near the entrance hall in the main palace on Vejita-sei. It depicted Vejita no Ou, the current King and Vejita's father."> He stopped and grinned in amusement. <"There was no mistaking that hair anywhere. It's a relatively dominant trait found only in Vejita-sei's royals. The scowl didn't help to put me off either.">

Kurai chuckled and nodded, pushing closer to his heat. Their two tails, one auburn-red, one jet black, twined together under the sheets, purrs quickly melded together. The two were content to sleep in this strange new place, as long as they were with each other.

Vejita awoke early the next morning as usual, the rest of the house still several hours from awakening. Slipping into his navy spandex, he headed quietly down the stairs and hallway, out a door set near the kitchen. He walked briskly through the short corridor and keyed open the door at its end. Inside, the room was very large and circular, a tall white pillar at its center that stretched to the ceiling. Its base flared out slightly to make a console, a small monitor and keyboard visible. The Prince shut the door and keyed in 500x once he reached the pillar. A mechanical female voice replied, "500 times earth's gravity. Settings are beyond human endurance. Please exit the facility if unable to cope." Vejita ignored it, making a mental note to have Bulma remove the unneeded warning. After a moment, the room began to hum, a light heat permeating his surroundings along with a mild pressure. He began to stretch, warming up for his light morning workout.

Outside, a red sign appeared beside the door, reading, "WARNING! Do not enter. Gravity at dangerously high levels."

Goku yawned, stretching almost catlike as he sat up in bed, his back popping audibly. He listened a moment to his two sons and Trunks in the next room. Goten and Trunks seemed to be having a battle of wills with Gohan about how much longer they could stay in bed. The pureblood grinned when his eldest mentioned the two chibis having to go the morning on leftovers and the sound of outraged gasps and scuffling feet filled his ears. Their door opened, the hallway suddenly echoing with the sounds of determined, hungry demi-Saiyajins. Their door shut a moment later, soon followed by a knock on his door.

"Come on in Gohan!" Goku called out in response.

The door swung open just enough for a smiling face capped by spiky black hair to let itself in. "Hurry up dad, before the chibis eat it all!"

Goku chuckled as he threw the covers back and swung his muscular legs over the side of the bed. "I'll be there in a minute Gohan."

The preteen nodded and left, shutting the door. The Saiyajin Kakarot, known as Goku, riffled through the chest of drawers across from his bed, pulling out a blue gi vest, orange gi pants, a white sash to tie it all together and blue, weighted wristbands*.

He left the confines of his room and headed for the kitchen. Just when he reached the door to the GR hallway, it opened and Goku almost ran into Vejita, sweaty form his morning work out.

"`Morning Vejita!" Goku chirped happily. A grin spread on his face, the thought of a good spar with the Prince only succeeding in making him all the more cheerful.

The Prince grunted, the most acknowledgment he would give anyone in the morning (or ever for that matter) and went strait to the kitchen, Goku following in his wake. The Prince stood in the doorway looking around as his sparring partner took his seat at the expansive table.

"Where are the other two?" He growled.

Bulma looked up from her morning reports from Capsule Corps. and frowned. "I don't know. They might not be up yet. Want me to go get them?"

The Ouji shook his head and headed back up to the hall of rooms, grumbling about lazy teenagers. Bulma shook her head as well but smiled as her mother, Mrs. Briefs, swept into the room laden with breakfast foods.

Vejita grouched all the way down the hall until he found the sibling's rooms. That they were in the same room didn't even register on the Prince's mind. He raised his hand to knock, but paused before he completed the action. His sensitive ears were picking up a rather interesting conversation:

<"Would you hurry up and put your clothes on?"> Kurai's voice penetrated the solid wooden barrier, sounding grumpy.

<"I would if I could find my pants! What did you do with them?"> Raife hissed, flustered.

<"Don't look at me! You ripped them away from me last night and threw them somewhere on the floor.">

One of them seemed to crawl around for a bit before a deep growl resonated from Ray. <"Found them. They were under the bed.">

<"That's what you get for being in such a hurry last night,"> Kurai said, following it up with a loud yawn. Vejita's onyx eyes widened slightly.

<"Oh shut up. Like you didn't appreciate it.">

<"I didn't say I didn't. Actually I loved it. But that's not the point. The point is-">

She was interrupted by Raife's irritated voice. <"I know what the point is. The point is, you're hungry and I'm holding you up. Look, I'm dressed, we can go now.">

Before Vejita had a chance to react, or to even absorb what he'd just heard, the door swung open. He was met with the surprised faces of both Raife and Kurai.

"Vejita-sama?" The elder sibling asked. His dark emerald eyes flicked down the hall toward the Prince's suite of rooms. "What are you doing here?"

For a moment, all Vejita no Ouiji could do was stare.
