Vejita grunted, rather interested in finding that out as well.
"Some guy at the mall couldn't get through his head that I wasn't interested," Kurai replied, sneering in distaste at the memory, tail gripping her thigh tightly.
Goku looked up in thought. "That hardly qualifies him as a pedophile. An idiot perhaps, but not a pedophile."
The girl's tail whipped suddenly from around her thigh to lash at the air. "So you don't think someone is a pervert if they smack a 16 year old on the butt!? Well maybe you're just a sick pedophile too!" Kurai ground out. Without waiting for a response, she pushed past the silent adults and stalked into the house. After a moment, Goku blinked and looked in curious surprise at Raife. "Wait, she's only 16?"
Blinking, he nodded. "How old did you think she was?"
"I figured 18 at least," Bulma replied, the wild-haired Saiyajin nodding in agreement.
Kurai's brother shook his head. "Nope. Actually, she just turned 16 about a month ago."
"Then she's an adult," Vejita replied, surprising everyone, as he had remained silent for a while.
"Not here, Jita. She won't be an adult for another two years."
The Prince grunted and turned, wanting to finish the break he and Kakarotto had agreed to, and get back to their spar. Bulma glanced as her childhood friend, who just smiled and followed his Prince into the living quarters of the compound, Raife trailing absently behind him. The scientist sighed and followed, but stopped to active an intercom by the door, giving some house-bots instructions on retrieving the packages from the car and where to put them.
Lunch was an uneventful affair. The two elder Saiyajins ate most everything is sight, Bulma still finding it rather fascinating, and Raife just eating a few sandwiches as he was off in his own world. He left soon after finishing, mumbling something about bringing Kurai her food. Vejita finished the meal off by drinking from a bottle of whisky taken from a locked cabinet in the kitchen. Finished, he replacing the key in a small clay jar labeled `Tea'. He and Goku left moments later to resume their match. The blue-haired ningen wonder briefly if Goku was ever going to get around to telling the arrogant prince how he felt. Sighing, she brushed the thought off and headed back down to her lab, some problems with her newest inventions flying through her mind as she deftly lit a cigarette.
Kurai's room was empty. So was his. Raife was starting to become rather annoyed with his young sibling. Clambering through his sister's widow, the teen wandered around the compound's grounds. Really, this was just getting ridiculous, running off like that.
"Over here!"
"Catch it Twunks!"
Ray stopped and listened to the boys playing, a smile twitching at the corner of his lips.
"Come on now, you have to catch it too Goten! Gohan! You sure you don't to play?"
Ray jerked in surprise. Following the curve of the domed complex's side, he came upon his sister perched in a tree watching the two small demi-Saiyajins play catch with a ball, while Gohan sat with a book under her. She was smiling widely, casually ruffling Gohan's hair with her tail. Catching sight of her brother, Kurai waved at him, beckoning. Levitating off the ground, he floated over to her and sat down on the branch with her.
"You just disappeared. Have you been out here all this time?"
She grinned. "Yup! What, did you have trouble finding me?" she asked, her grin turning sly.
"Well, when you mask your ki, it does tend to make finding you a bit hard."
She just nodded. Swinging backwards she hung from the branch and snatched Gohan's book away from him.
"Hey! What'd you do that for?" he pouted up at her.
Kurai flipped back up onto the branch, waving the book over his head. "Come on Go-chan, you can't spend all your time with your nose stuck in a book. It's a beautiful day out, why not enjoy it?"
The demi stared at the older girl, not quite sure what to say. His mother had always told him to study as much as possible, but…it was so nice out today, and really was a bit tired of reading…
Jumping up, Gohan snatched the thin leather strip that loosely held Kurai's thick braid together that had been hanging near his head. Pausing in mid-air, he turned to watch as she looked at him in shock, her hair bursting out of its confining shape to settle in a long spiky mass around her. He thought briefly that, with her hair undone like that, she looked a bit like his dead uncle, Radditz. Before he could think anything else, Kurai launched herself from the tree branch with a growl of mock anger, trying to snatch the tie back and dropping her stolen book in the process. Gohan laughed and floated out her reach, waving the leather strip tauntingly.
Raife watched happily as his sister chased Kakarot's oldest around the trees, trying to win back her dear possession by catching the fast flying demi. Trunks and Goten stopped their own game to watch and cheer them on, the ball lying forgotten in the grass.

Vejita and Goku returned to Capsule Corp. about an hour and a half before sunset. Their spar had been productive and wonderfully exhausting. The Prince retreated immediately to his rooms while Goku flopped onto the living room couch after retrieving a beer from the kitchen. Popping the top open he took a quick gulp before putting it down on the coffee table, (on a coaster mind you. He didn't want to relive the last time Bulma found him putting the wet can on the expensive wood.) he waited for the inevitable onslaught of garbled words and sugar-induced activeness that was his youngest son.
After a few minutes and several more swallows, the great warrior set off to find out what had become of his children, a calm but mildly puzzled look on his face. Checking their usual hiding spots wasn't too hard, and neither was looking in a few he had just thought up, but Goku was starting to get a little worried when nothing proved to yield the location of the young demis.
"Goku, I thought I heard you wandering around up here. What's up?"
The earth-raised Saiyajin turned to his childhood friend as she exited her lab. He smiled sheepishly, a hand going to the back of his head in nervous habit. "Well, I haven't been able to find Gohan or Goten, or Trunks for that matter, and I'm getting a bit worried."
Bulma smiled, her lips a bright cherry red. "Oh they've been outside since you and Vejita left. Playing with Raife and Kurai the last time I checked. Come on, I need to call them in for dinner anyway."
The wild-haired man blinked in surprise, but followed the scientist as she led the way down the hall.
The evening air was cool outside, the first sign of fall. Bulma and Kakarot stood on the steps that led to the grounds, looking around for their children and their teen guardians.
"Trunks!" Bulma called after a moment, "It's time for dinner!"
She took a drag of her newly lit cigarette, watching Goku step to the fringe of the trees and pick up his son's textbook. "Well, they were out here at least," he said, holding it up and showing his friend.
"Trunks!" she yelled again, her voice taking on a hint of panic. "Trunks, where are you!"
"Sheesh, calm down woman," a voice grumbled from behind them. "We're in the middle of an exercise here."
Bulma turned quickly around, startled by the unknown voice. "Wha-!"
"Up here."
Both parents, who had been looking around in surprise, jumped and did as the voice commanded.
"Kurai!" Both cried in shock.
Sure enough, the young Saiyajin sat at the peak of the dome that covered the kitchen, a smug look painted on her full lips, auburn tail twitching lazily around her feet.
"What's going on, where are our children?" Bulma yelled, her former panic turning into anger.
The teen's smile grew as she pointed out into the woods. "We're doing a training exercise. You caught us right in the middle."
"Training's all well and good, but it's getting dark and they need to come in and eat."
Goku nodded. "How are they going to train out here in the dark anyway?"
Kurai looked at him and frowned. "You're a fighter, I figured you have caught on right away."
He looked out to the trees quizzically. "Yeah, training in the dark in good for adults, but they're kids." He glanced back at her. "How are they going to get anything done?"
Her smile came back. "Tracking. Relying on their other senses in stead of their eyes, now that the light's going."
"Tracking? But how did teach them in such a short amount of time?"
She shrugged. "They already knew."
"What! But how could they have known?"
Before Goku's question could be answered, a raucous shout echoed from the trees, followed by a lot of twigs breaking and the smashing of underbrush. Gohan, Goten and Trunks all came barreling out of the woods, leaves and other earthy things stuck in their hair, smiling all the way.
"Cwy, cwy!* I fownd Waith**! I fownd him!" Goten called out excitedly, jumping up and down in front of the girl as she slid off the roof with a grin.
"Yeah, me too!" Trunks yelled, quickly followed up by Gohan, who was bit more reserved in his enthusiasm.
The demis continued to cheer as they headed inside to feed, bypassing their stunned parents completely. Raife sauntered out from the trees, smiling as well.
"Did you hide well?" Kurai questioned.
"Of course," he replied as he passed, smiling and nodded to the two adults.
Goku and Bulma stared at the young girl before them. All they could manage was a weak and confused, "How…"
She grinned smugly and simply said, "Hide-and-Seek," before walking inside.

* = Yeah, that's what I figured would be easiest for a little kid to say when trying to pronounce Kurai's name.
** = Same thing with Raife's name
A/N: Took forever, probably sucked, I don't care, I liked it! (points at Kurai's huddled form in the corner) It's not like she helped! -_-
Kurai: Shut up! …I was having writer's block. I figured I was allowed a few of those….
U_U yes, yes, I just hate making them all wait.
Kurai: We only got ONE review for the last chapter, so excuse me for not being so inclined to write…
Yeah, Ku-chan's right guys. Reviews are what keep us wanting to do this story, so if you want us to continue….
BOTH: REVIEW FOR THE LOVE OF LEMONS!!!
