Chapter 18
It had been two months since that snowy day on the balcony. The snow had all but melted away, and the first buds and blossoms of spring were making their way into the world. Trunks had to admit that life had seemed practically perfect for the last two months. He trained everyday, helped his mother with the capsule plant when she needed it, which was seldom now since the plant had begun production, and spent his days with Teresa. She intrigued him. She was smart, fun, witty and talented. She seemed almost too perfect, but he had to remember that she had a temper that could rival Vegeta's. It kept her real in Trunks' eyes. That day they had kissed had set off a chain reaction, and almost overnight they had become what could only be defined as a couple. She was his first real girlfriend; he had been much too young for anything serious in high school, especially with his accelerated grade level. He mulled this over in his mind as he and Teresa walked down a small path on the outskirts of town.
The path was long and luckily dry, the melting snow had left everything muddy for several days. But today, the sun was high and the rays were surprisingly warm, The leaves were a shade of fresh green and some of the tiny flowers had begun to bloom. It seemed as though they were walking the path to Eden. Soon, they came upon a small pond, a quiet stream trickling to feed it and decided to stop. Trunks lay on the grass, watching the tuffs of cotton ball clouds float softly through the sky.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Teresa breathed, stretching herself out next to him on the grass. "I have been ignorant for so long not to see the beauty in this planet."
"You didn't like it here?" he asked, propping himself up so he could look at her face.
"Not at first. But I guess I never realized that there is beauty in everything and every place, you just have to open your eyes to find it."
"You like it now huh?" he said, giving her a playful smile.
"Well I'd be lying if I said you didn't have a certain effect on how I feel towards this place."
"I better make sure you don't get mad at me then, you'll think this whole place sucks." She laughed at him, and he flopped back down on the grass.
"Seriously though, what do you think of it here? I mean, you're not from here either but you barely ever talk about the Earth."
"There's nothing really to say. I guess since my mom is here too, it makes it a lot easier to deal with. But this place is a lot like earth, blue sky and seasons and all that." He pulled her into his arms and kissed the top of her head. Smiling, she kissed his lips softly. And suddenly, like a bolt of lighting, the soft demeanor they had been operating in vanished. The air became thick between them; their bodies became hot. Teresa's expression had turned from one of love and adoration to one of hot, animalistic need. Trunks captured her mouth with his and feverishly kissed her, like a man taking his first breaths of air after almost drowning.
He rolled her onto her back, never breaking the kiss. She took his shirt up and ran her hands over the bare flesh of his back, moving her hands to his biceps. They were warm and seemingly carved out of marble. The power she felt in them made her feel small and feminine as she let him take control of the situation by lifting her shirt up and pawing at her breasts. She could feel his arousal pressing against her, the awkward feeling of his need turning her on even more. She felt his hand slide up her skirt and stroke her through her thin underwear.
Taking off his shirt, Teresa's bra and shirt soon followed, and he could feel the electricity between their naked flesh as they rubbed together as feverishly as a flint trying to create fire. Before he knew what was happening, they were naked on the grass, kissing intently. He broke away and looked at her.
"Trunks?" she whispered, her voice shaking as much as her knees. He didn't realize how nervous she was until that moment, or how nervous and a little scared he was either.
"I...uh...should we?" he asked, feeling the tip of his penis nudge against the burning heat of her.
"I don't know...I've never done this before." She said as she stroked the back of his neck. Even though she had been trained as a concubine, it was only in how to behave as a mindless woman, not what to do when it actually came down to sleeping with a man. She had been taught a few tricks from the other concubines on Avallino, but she had to be kept chaste for her mission, if Vegeta had wanted her and found out she wasn't a virgin, he would have been insulted. Besides, most men with a taste for concubines preferred to break them in on their own terms. Now, looking up at Trunks' flushed face, she realized that she was a little bit scared.
"Neither have I. I...I just don't want to do this unless you're 100% sure that this is exactly what you want."
"Trunks, I wouldn't want to lose my virginity with anyone else. I love you." She kissed him softly on the lips. He deepened the kiss and his hand reached for his pants. "What are you doing?" she asked, feeling the fabric slip against her stomach.
"Just hold on, ok?" he asked, rolling off of her and grabbing his wallet out of the back pocket. He slipped a small plastic package out, and ripped the wrapping away.
"What is that?" she asked, watching him roll the rubbery looking thing over his large, erect penis.
"It's a condom. Form of birth control on Earth, I'll explain it later. But right now..." he said, his voice dropping as he found her lips again and reclaimed his position on top of her. "Are you ready?" he asked, grabbing his manhood and running it along her wetness. She nodded, trying to will her legs to stop shaking. "I love you." He whispered as he gently pushed himself into her body. Her nails dug into his shoulders as she felt a pain shoot through her. "Am I hurting you?"
"It's ok, keep going." She said, knowing that it was all a matter of just getting used to it. He kept going, his awkward movements gradually began to form a rhythm and the pain started to fade. She began to move to his rhythm. She looked up at him, his face was beautiful like that, all flushed and smooth as he struggled for ragged breath and the little bit of control he had left. Soon he fell on top of her, panting and gasping. Once he regained himself he looked into her eyes.
"I love you." He whispered, kissing her softly. "I promise it'll be better next time." She kissed the top of his head.
"It was wonderful." She answered. They lay on the side of the pond for a long time afterward, not speaking. No words were needed.
"Well? Is it done yet?" Kooler demanded, staring at the doctor, who was bent over the microscope.
"For some reason that I cannot even explain, it's no longer working like it should."
"What do you mean? You said it was coming along fine! And now you tell me it doesn't work?"
"Viruses are tricky things, Lord Kooler. They change so fast, they are so unpredictable, and therefore, impossible to cure. But this one, I think it was an imperfection in the original DNA strand that caused it to do this."
"What exactly does it do?"
"It'll show you." The doctor said, crossing the room to the cage full of small, rat-type creatures. He picked up a rat, injected it with the virus, and set it down on the table.
"That's it?" Kooler said, a bit disappointed as he stared at the rat.
"I can start over. I'm sure it's just an issue in the DNA strand. I'll run a scan and have it back on track in no time."
"You don't have time! If you do not finish this by the original deadline I set for you, then it will be too late! Don't you see? This is the only chance I have!"
"But sire, I-" Kooler cut him off. His eyes had gone back to the rat.
"No. Wait. This might actually be the best thing that has happened to us."
"Sire?"
"Keep manufacturing this. If this is all this crappy virus of yours does, then I may be able to use it to my advantage. Besides, this will be a much more humiliating way for Vegeta to die than to be victim to a messy super virus, don't you think?" Kooler laughed, smiling at the small rat that lay on the table before him.
