Maddox entered the empty throne room with a broad smile. She placed the baby down on his feet and Maddox was quick to embrace her long time friend. “I’m so glad you’ve returned. It has been lonely as hell since you left.”
They parted ways and Bulma saw the young one hiding quietly behind his mom’s leg, “Look at him, walking.” Bulma knelled down to picked the little boy up in her arms, “Hi Kagan.” He reached for his mother shyly. Maddox laughed taking him.
“He’ll get use to you soon enough. So you like being Queen again?”
“I did miss it. This place hasn’t changed much. Not that I expected it too.”
“Things have changed Bulma. But that’s for another time. How’s Earth?”
“I have changed everything there. It was pathetic how little knowledge they had. They didn’t even have flying cars yet. Being back there is so different from here. It reminded so much of my childhood. Of my parents.”
“I don’t miss that place at all. It was boring. All they did was war over religion. Here, we war over so many other stupid things. It’s more fun.”
“Living with a Sayian does wear off, I guess. Hey, I didn’t know they allowed half-breed Fenas on the squads.”
“You mean Tolana.” Bulma nodded. “She is Turles’s daughter.”
“Turles’s? Are you serious? When did he have a daughter?”
“Well, he was stationed there before the big battle at Old-Vegeta-sei. He never told Bardock, so maybe he didn’t know.”
“Bardock’s niece. He seems to be finding more then enough family members these days.”
“She sure is a sweetheart. She’s got the biggest boobs I’ve seen in awhile that’s for sure. But I don’t know. She seems a bit strange. Tolana escaped her planet’s destruction. She was on ship going to a neighboring planet when it happened. Certainly was luck.”
“I’d say.” Bulma thought for a moment, she was unable to hold back a question nagging at the back of her mind. “Umm, question, how the hell did Turles, get a creature like a Fenasha female pregnant? They aren’t equipped with the same things as we have.”
“Oh, there is a way. But explaining it is out of my ability nor desire.”
Bulma, though intrigued on how that could possibly happen, she knew she needed to change the subject. “So have you heard anything from Radditz lately?”
“No. That little bastard. I swear to Vela when he get’s home I’m making him sleep on the floor. I’m not touching that fucker for months.”
“Months really? That’s a little much.” His voice though surprising brought no emotion to Maddox face except annoyance. He came out of the shadows with a proud smirk on his face.
Maddox rolled her eyes. “He actually thinks I care that he’s returned.” She told Bulma and swatted at Kagan’s hands who was reaching for his father. “No, he means nothing to us now. It’s just you and me, son.” But Kagan continued to wiggle in her grasp till she finally put him on his feet and he ran to his dad.
“Already walking, boy.” Radditz place a hand on the boy’s head that now hugged his leg.
“Traitor.” Maddox whispered crossing her arms. She ignored him as he stepped in front of her. “What? You think I’m glad your back?” He smirked. “Well, I’m not. I’ve been living in peace these last few weeks. It’s been lovely. You can go ahead and leave again for all I care.”
“I’m not going anywhere.”
“That’s not surprising. When I want you to actually stay you leave, and now when I want you to go you threaten me with staying.” He chuckled rolling his eyes. “Well, you’ve been gone for quite awhile, and I am been meeting other males, what makes you think I even want you back?” Radditz stepped aside and there behind him stood her first born son. Her eyes widened. There stood a son thought dead. “Kali?” She whispered, moving without any thought to it until her fingers graced his scarred face. “Oh, Vela.” Her arms wrapped tight around him.
Kali took in her scent, “Mom.” Just speaking her name caused her to sob against him.
She pulled herself away grasping his face and kissing his cheeks. “Where were you?”
“I was captured mom. Father saved me.”
She touched his hair, the sides of his face, “What did they do to you?” She touched his arms, finding metal where flesh was suppose to be.
Kali raised his mechanical hand, flexing the fingers just as a real hand, “Everything they could.”
She shook her head, “It doesn’t matter now. You’re home now. Back were you belong.” She hugged him close then switched over to Radditz, jumping in his arms and kissing him deeply. “Thank you for bringing me my son.”
“So this is my little brother.” He knelled down behind the little guy that hid behind his mother’s leg.
“His name is Kagan.”
Kali touched his little cheek, smiling at the fear the boy possessed. “Has anyone told Bra?”
Bulma answered, “I haven’t been able to find her.”
“I know where she is. I always know where she is.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`````
Bra couldn’t help herself from jumping in her lover’s arms knocking him to the ground. “He’s alive, Goten!” Goten laughed rolling along the dirty floor with her. They finally came to a stop at the bottom of a tree. “You did it. I’m so sorry I didn’t believe you.”
Goten rolled till he was on top of her. “I wouldn’t have believed me either.”
“Now we can all be happy again. Oh, Goten you’ve made me so happy.” But there connection was severed when Goten was lifted off, Bra watched his body slam into a tree cracking it in half over top of him.
“Goten!” But a hard grasp of her arm turned her around, “Hey!” Her assault was stalled upon seeing a smirk she once remembered so well.
“Still have the same fire I remember.” And then a voice to go with this face that had lost itself from her thoughts. A voice that haunted her only in her dreams and made her cry at night. Reminding her daily of her betrayal to him. Reminding her how she had ignored his last and final wish.
But it wasn’t pain or regret that filled her head, it was undeniable relief. “Tell me I’m not seeing things. Tell me it’s you.” She whispered, his hand falling away from her as she now stood before him staring up with tears in her eyes.
“It’s me, love.” The pet name he always said with such emotion rolled send familiar chills down Bra’s spine so long ago forgotten.
She struggled to produce his name off her lips, “Kali.” His smirk brought life to a soul long missed. She jumped into his arms, crying pitifully against his neck, “I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I never gave up hope.” She kissed his neck, cheeks, nose, eyes, lips. Every part that was within her reach. His hands touched her and she shivered against the metal but basked in his wake. “Vela, I dreamt this moment. Tell me I no longer dream.”
“Only reality, love.”
“How? Vela I don’t care how.” She stalled her kisses to gaze into his eyes, lips just barely grazing his, tempting, seducing and she whispered, “I am whole again.” He shoved them together, swirling their tongues in a most passionate embrace, lasting for minutes of breathless desire. Bra slowly departed and his large hands encased her cheeks, rubbing her tears away causing a smile on her lips.
“I lived only for this moment.” The feeling of his pain radiated off of him only producing more tears to fall from Bra’s eyes.
“Why did you leave? Why did you go away from me?” Their hands never leaving each other’s face, thinking that at any moment everything would be ruined between them.
“I was stupid. When Natally got pregnant I couldn’t face you. I thought you would hate me forever.”
“Hate you? How could I hate someone I love so much?” She kissed his lips again and again. “Vela how I missed you. Your voice, your touch, your lips. Vela, don’t go away again.”
“I promise, love.” She sobbed and quickly wrapped him up again in a tight hug.
“Welcome back, Kali.” Goten’s voice, and Bra’s eyes widened. How could she have forgotten?
Bra instantly parted away, though secretly reluctant. Kali noticed and his brows knit in quiet anger. He sent a dominating gaze toward Goten. “Cousin.” He spat with a tint of sarcasm.
“Well, I’ll leave you two to get reacquainted.” He refused to look toward Bra as he turned away.
“Goten wait.” She shot out running to him. When she placed her hand on his arm he flinched away.
He smiled though with a small light of sadness reflecting in his eyes. “It’s okay. We’re talk later. I’m going to go find Seneca, wherever she ran off to.” He walked away, leaving his once girlfriend to be alone with her dead lover.
Bra turned back to Kali. His eyes were narrowed and aggressive while a blue hue surrounded his outer form in a silent rage Bra could feel immensely by the power he was gathering. She stepped up to him brows nit in confusion never seeing such anger reflect in those dark eyes she had learned to study for years. Her hand reached out but was shocked by the hue. “Kali.”
Her voice reached his ears and all power dwindled from his body and his eyes widened back to their original form. He smirked softly reaching to grasp her cheek. She held it to her. “I want to talk to you. Know of all your adventures while dead to me. I want to tell you of my life and everything that has happened. Let’s meet tomorrow. I just landed myself and there are many things I still need to do.” He pulled her into his body, bending down to capture her pure lips which she so willingly leaned into but then quickly backed away from. “Your place.” He nodded once. “Just promise you’ll be there and you’ll never leave.” He nodded with a smirk.
With a hesitation, Bra jumped into the air, never feeling the cold eyes that watched her go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```````````
Trunks crouched low behind the tall tress that were just before the barrier of the outer world. Creatures he remembered only briefly in his head, memories that refused to go away.
``````````
“Goten. What are you doing here?”
“Well, I thought I could be some help. I know I’m not really smart like you but when it comes to mechanics I kind of know what I’m doing.” He grinned.
Arcadia smiled, “Come here and look at these guts. It’s so confusing. Even I’m having a hard time figuring it out.”
“You, have a hard time?” Goten played as plopped himself on the ground and pushed his head to look inside. His eyes widened, “You weren’t kidding.”
`````````````````````
Goten, a name that sounded so familiar but held no face in Trunks’ mind. Yet as he watch Vegeta take Goten by the neck, he felt some sort of anger, wanting to help but too afraid. They were talking about him. He didn’t understand because of the language they spoke but then he wasn’t trying to figure out what they were talking about, he was trying to figure out who they were.
The lavender female had her arms wrapped around his newly found father. His heart stopped upon seeing this creature. He remembered her, only distantly.
``````````````````````````````
Trunks dropped his head to his chest, his lavender hair falling before his face, “I wish I could remember.”
Bra leaned up on her toes to kiss the top of his forehead, getting his attention quickly. “No worries big brother.” She giggled at his surprised eyes. “It is so awkward that I have just met you and you are all ready so old. When this battle is over, and time has been given to us. We will be as one. You and I.” He nodded dumbly learning to love that candid smile on her lips and the innocence of her glittering eyes. “Now let us go before Klooer gets upset and I loose my nerve.”
`````````````
Old and new memories, fiction to fact, all mixing together like sand and salt. Impossible to tell which ones were right and which ones were poisoned. But he knew what he felt. And he felt a reassurance upon her presence. He was in the right hands if she was there, so maybe trusting this man that calls himself his father will be the one to save him from himself.
His eyes moved over to the other female figure. Her green eyes darted in his direction and he ducked down even further. She was searching for something, more then likely him. How beautiful she looked and yet no knowledge of her even came to mind except one picture, though the image of her was so blurred he couldn’t even tell the color of her.
````````````````````````````````````````
“I hope you don’t think I’m going to say yes with a proposal like that?” She had finally found im and she wasn’t too late. She nearly felt like crying when she saw his beautiful eyes.
He chuckled, “I kind of hoped.” Arcadia stepped up to her.
“Well try again there hotshot.” She threw the ring up in the air allowing him to catch.
Arcadia stared at the eighteen carrot diamond ring before letting his amused blue eyes roll up to her, “I was planning to wait until I came back to do it the proper way.”
“Well, then I’m just going to have to forget that you asked me.”
“You know…You always ruined my plans.”
“That’s because their never good.” His smiled widened before he wrapped her up in a strong hug, swinging her around and kissing her neck.
“I’m going to miss you.”
“I’m use to it so missing probably won’t set in for a couple of weeks.” He set her down, placing his forehead down upon her hers. “How long do you think it will take?”
“I don’t know. Weeks, months, years.”
She pulled away causing his attention to peak, “Then I’ll wait.”
“You sure?”
“No. But if I give up on you then I’ll go over to my other boyfriend’s place.”
His arms tightened as they always did at her mentioning anything about another male in her life but he played it cool, nuzzling her nose, “Go for it. But I assure you. Ain’t no one better at pleasing you then me.”
“I wouldn’t know that, now would I ‘mister I-have-to-have-you-before-anyone-else.” The memory seemed to skip. And whispered in his ears, “I love you.”
“Who wouldn’t?” she giggled in response but kissed him deeply ignoring the tears falling down her eyes. She separated from him and slowly took off her silver necklace, grabbing the small ring in his hand and slipping it on. She connected the jewelry around his neck.
“Just so you don’t forget you got someone waiting for you.“
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````
Trunks hand raced to his neck, only to find no necklace and no ring. Maybe it was his imagination playing tricks on him like always, trying to confuse him between reality and the unending wave of images his mind created. He closed his eyes and turned away. He felt guilt. But guilt for what? His hand gripped his heart that pounded so heavily when he first saw those eyes of hers. She caused him pain. She must be evil. He had to stay away from her.
Trunks took a deep breath, recalling the words of Vegeta from only a day ago. The older man had taught him mediation. A way to control the voices inside of his head. He concentrated on one single thought that brought him peace. The blue eyes of the angel that held him during his death. He felt his muscles relax and power decrease. The memories were lost to the wind and he felt a smile grace his lips.
She moved. Trunks forgot about the others and followed her ducking and dodging behind trees and bushes. After a few minutes her lips moved, “Trunks.” She whispered, glancing back, hoping no one heard her. “Trunks, are you in there?”
Trunks understood for only a brief moment what she wanted. He felt a need to answer. She knew him, she must of. She had answers to his many questions. But this feeling in heart, this pain and guilt, told him to keep quiet, that now wasn’t a good time. In the future he would talk to her. But his lips parted anyway. As he stood to reveal himself another creature showed up. He ducked back down quickly. The one named Goten. “Seneca.”
Oh, that name! Trunks breath stalled and his heart seemed to skip a beat. That name brought emotions to the surface that drowned the air from his lungs. He knew her. He knew more of her then anything else in this world. But none of this knowledge was revealing itself, it was trapped beneath a thin wall that was unbelievably sturdy.
His eyes lifted to find them gone from sight. He looked left and right but could no longer feel them. He had to follow them, to find out who they were. “Trunks.” His father voice startled him and he quickly swung around.
“Who are they?”
Vegeta contemplated his decision. The boy wasn’t ready to have visitors, that was apparent with the sweat that poured from his forehead and the energy that was radiating off of him. But lies had led Trunks to the state that he was in. One more just might break him past mending. “Comrades. Your sister.” Vegeta didn’t bring up the mate subject, too afraid of the result.
“Sister? Does she know?”
“Yes. But you aren’t ready to meet them.” Trunks nodded his head staring off into space. “Shall we continue training?”
“I feel something else.” Trunks whispered as his eyes searched the woods.
“Kali. He is of no danger to you.”
“He is strong.”
“Do not worry yourself with that. It is nothing.” Trunks nodded and followed the man closely till they reached the small cottage that now stood in the middle of the desert.
“How long until I can see them?”
“You can see them anytime you want. You are not a prisoner here. But if you wish not to kill them then I suggest a week.”
He shook his head, “I don’t want to kill anymore.” He stared now upon his hands that once had Sayian blood covering them. Flashes from before his death, in the hands of Klooer, ripping the arms off a soldier shot before his eyes, he could hear the screams as if they had been his own.
Vegeta watched with uncertainty. He wasn’t sure if Trunks was going to get through the flashback, or race at him with a blinding rage. But as he saw the dark flicker, Vegeta crouched down to prepare for the onslaught.
Maddox entered the empty throne room with a broad smile. She placed the baby down on his feet and Maddox was quick to embrace her long time friend. “I’m so glad you’ve returned. It has been lonely as hell since you left.”

“You mean Tolana.” Bulma nodded. “She is Turles’s daughter.”
“Turles’s? Are you serious? When did he have a daughter?”

“Bardock’s niece. He seems to be finding more then enough family members these days.”
